Chapter 616: Cao Youqian — Your Flesh Must Be Very Delicious, Right?
On Sword Peak, Xiao Chen looked at the young people below as they all entered a state of cultivation and nodded in satisfaction. His divine sense was mainly focused on the few youths in the front row, wanting to see how long it would take them to fully absorb this information.
After one hour, Er Gouzi was the first to open his eyes, his gaze instantly meeting Xiao Chen’s. He hurriedly stood up and said, “Er Gouzi pays respects to Sword God.”
“You do not have a name?” Xiao Chen asked instinctively when he heard the name Er Gouzi.
Er Gouzi scratched his head awkwardly. “I do not have a name. The High Priest said he would bestow one on me before, but I have been staying on Sword Peak these past few days and have not yet received a name.”
Hearing this, Xiao Chen immediately said, “Since you have no name, I shall bestow one upon you. The Famous Sword Holy Land takes ‘Sword’ as its surname, and you were the first to finish receiving the basic knowledge I imparted, so your name shall be Jian Yi.”
“Jian Yi.”
Er Gouzi softly murmured the name, then jumped up and shouted, “I have a name, I have a name.”
Xiao Chen pointed at him, and a barrier of light enveloped his body. He said calmly, “Having a name is indeed something to be happy about, but do not interrupt others’ cultivation.”
“Yes.”
Jian Yi scratched his head awkwardly again, his face showing nervousness and unease.
Xiao Chen saw all of this clearly and smiled as he said, “Alright, there is no need to be tense. Since you have already received what I imparted to you, is there anything you do not understand?”
Jian Yi replied softly, “Reporting to Sword God, I merely know these things in a basic sense. I do not really understand anything else.”
Xiao Chen did not get angry upon hearing this and instead asked in a gentle tone, “Then does this mean you have never cultivated before?”
“Mmm.”
Jian Yi nodded repeatedly, looking at Xiao Chen with anticipation.
“It does not matter. While the others have yet to awaken, I will first guide you on how to cultivate.”
Xiao Chen had not expected that the youth before him was an uncarved piece of fine jade. He decided to nurture him carefully and see how far this young man could go in the future.

Thousands of miles away, after Cao Youqian finished receiving the Light of Fortune, he felt his entire being become stronger. He slowly opened his eyes and swept his gaze around, only to see himself surrounded by a group of demonic beasts, their eyes filled with greed as they looked at him.
Before he could make a move, the Thunder Qilin beside him shouted loudly, “You Demon Dragon brat, I was just about to come find you, and yet you dare deliver yourself to me.”
As soon as these words were spoken, all the demonic beasts present turned their gazes toward a pitch-black, single-horned Demon Dragon.
The Demon Dragon revealed a sinister smile when it saw the Thunder Qilin. “So it was you, Thunder Qilin. What, the beating you took last time was not enough, so you have come looking for another one? Since you have brought me such a delicious human as tribute, I can beat you a few extra times.”
Listening to the exchange between the two divine beasts, Cao Youqian touched the qilin horn with a half-smile and asked, “This black loach is the one who beat you?”
“That is right. Brother Qian, it is this Demon Dragon brat. You must help me teach it a proper lesson.”
The Thunder Qilin had been somewhat wary of the Demon Dragon at first, but thinking of the strength of the one beside it, confidence immediately returned.
“Hahahaha…”
The Demon Dragon burst into loud laughter upon hearing the conversation between the man and the qilin.
Its laughter carried a sharp, demonic quality, and the surrounding demonic beasts also began to laugh along. In an instant, within a radius of one hundred miles, all that could be heard was this shrill, demonic laughter, which made one extremely irritated.
Laughing as it mocked, the Demon Dragon said, “Thunder Qilin, you truly are a disgrace to the qilin clan. Other qilins call on their elders when they cannot defeat our dragon race, yet you actually call upon a mere human to help you. Could it be that you think you are not weak enough already?”
The Thunder Qilin did not speak and merely shifted its gaze onto Cao Youqian. Cao Youqian dug a finger into his ear and muttered, “It has been a long time since I last ate dragon meat. Judging by your looks, you should be a naturally born dragon, not one purified from a flood dragon, right?”
“Hmph.”
The Demon Dragon snorted coldly. “Insolent human. This one is the direct grandson of the Dragon Ancestor. How could I possibly be compared to those flood dragons that transformed into dragons?”
“In that case, your flesh must be very delicious, right?”
As Cao Youqian spoke, he even swallowed a mouthful of saliva, his gaze toward the Demon Dragon becoming fervent.
Contempt, naked and undisguised contempt.
The Demon Dragon’s pitch-black face now seemed to flush with red beneath the black, looking exceptionally ugly. As the direct grandson of the Dragon Ancestor, for a mere human to dare set his sights on it was intolerable. If it did not devour this human today, would it not become a laughingstock of the Dragon Ancestor?
“Seize this puny human for me. Whoever captures him first will be rewarded with one of my thighs.”
“Yes!”
The group of Demon Kings charged toward Cao Youqian like sharks that had smelled blood.
Cao Youqian’s lips curled slightly into a disdainful cold smile. With a single grab, he crushed the head of a tiger demon, then smashed the body of a lion demon with one punch.
This sudden change stunned the remaining Demon Kings, but Cao Youqian showed them no mercy. Like chopping melons and vegetables, he dealt with the rest in just a few swift moves, the speed so fast that it did not even take the time of one cup of tea.
Silence fell, and the mountain forest that had been incomparably noisy became so quiet that not even the caw of a crow could be heard.
The Demon Dragon was so shocked by the scene before it that it could not utter a single word. Although it was a Demon Emperor, it was only newly promoted, and there was no way it could suppress so many Demon Kings so effortlessly.
Of course, the most shocked of all was the Thunder Qilin. It had witnessed Brother Qian’s prowess before, but it had never imagined he would be this terrifying. It now realized that back then, the other party had no intention of suppressing it at all, otherwise it would never have survived to this day.
Thinking of this, it decided that it would follow Brother Qian from now on. With Brother Qian around, there was nothing it needed to fear.
Cao Youqian clapped his hands, brushing off dust that did not actually exist, and fixed his gaze on the black dragon as he mocked, “Your turn, black loach.”
Run.
The Demon Dragon’s first reaction after coming back to its senses was to flee. It had only become a Demon Emperor less than one hundred years ago and absolutely could not fall in a place like this.
Although this human was stronger than it, in terms of speed, a human Great Shaman could not possibly be compared to a Demon Emperor.
Its figure flashed, and a mass of black shadow instantly vanished from the spot.
Seeing this, the Thunder Qilin hurriedly shouted, “Brother Qian, that brat is trying to escape!”
Cao Youqian said with a smile, “Do not worry. It cannot escape the palm of my hand.”
As his words fell, he slowly extended one hand and grasped toward the horizon where the Demon Dragon was fleeing. With this ordinary motion, a gigantic manifested hand suddenly appeared in the sky.
That manifestation carried supreme pressure, and under this terrifying might, the Demon Dragon suddenly discovered that the demonic power within its body had been sealed. It instinctively raised its head to look.
All it saw was a gigantic palm that filled it with despair, descending slowly from the heavens.
“No—”
Amid a hysterical scream, the giant palm suppressed the Demon Dragon…
