Infinite Awakening: My Exp Doubles Everyday - Chapter 393: Immortal Grade Material

Chapter 393: Immortal Grade Material
Blacksmithing Xiang Yu smiled as he struck the metal with his hammer.
He thought to himself that this was really surprising, this Zhu Rong fellow seemed quite interesting indeed.
The rest of the students had also performed quite well on average, only the newer students hadn’t quite gotten their professions right yet. Even so, they could at least be considered lower-tier ninth-grade practitioners.
He wondered if it was about time he opened up the rest of the professions to the public.
Before, he had promised the cooking class a reward – allowing them to practice cooking and sell their spirit food to sect members. Now that the other professions were also improving, he could let them open up to the public as well, providing their services to the rest of the sect.
Another thing was that since their sect was so huge, they often received commissions for tasks like these. Most of them were low-level jobs that Xiang Yu often rejected, but now he could just hand them over to the kids for practice.
He raised the metal he was hammering, observed it carefully, then continued hammering it once again.
He thought to himself that since he was about to start working with immortal grade materials, he needed to upgrade his regular work tools to heavenly grade so they could at least handle the strain. Even so, he felt it was a little low-level since the immortal grade was a whole world above the mortal realm.
Well, he supposed it should work for now.
Main body Xiang Yu showed a strained expression as he continuously manipulated the crystal structure. After a few minutes, he opened his eyes and released a deep breath. He then disabled his domain and looked at the ground where the piece of immortal grade material he had just created lay.
It had taken quite a long time, but it was definitely worth it.
After having his creation domain active for so long, he had earned enough proficiency with it to stabilize it properly. He then glanced at the spirit vein. The spirit vein instantly activated the creation domain.
Xiang Yu smiled. Now that he understood it more deeply, he should be able to use it even in his spirit vein body. And since this one had endless immortal energy, he could do this all day and even more efficiently.
Main Xiang Yu picked up the material he had made, looking at it thoughtfully.
He thought to himself that with this material, if he gathered a few more pieces, he should be able to make an immortal weapon. He bounced it in his hands, but there was no need to make another immortal weapon at the moment, he thought.
As he thought of this, his sleeve stretched out and caught the material, devouring it instantly before returning to normal. Xiang Yu thought to himself that first, he needed to upgrade his void silk.
Then he could focus on making other immortal weapons.
He felt the energy flowing throughout the void silk. It was just a few materials away from an upgrade. He just needed to feed it a few more immortal materials, maybe a bit of immortal crystals to provide the energy needed for the upgrade, since the world might not be able to fully support the immortal weapon’s transformation.
Especially now that it had weakened considerably after the incident.
Another thing he needed to add was condensing his new domains into crystals and feeding them to it, this way, it could also gain conductivity with his other domains, increasing its overall power.
…
After lunch, Elder Huang stood up and was about to leave, glancing towards Elder Guo with a smile.
But Elder Guo pretended not to see and scooted over to Xiang Yu’s side.
“What are you doing? Let’s go, stop wasting the Grand Elder’s time,” she said.
But Elder Guo spoke up, “You go on ahead. I want to talk to my disciple.”
She walked over and held his hand, trying to pull him from his position, but he kept his grip firm on the chair. She had an angry expression as she glanced at Xiang Yu, then smiled sweetly. “The Grand Elder is really busy and doesn’t have time to talk to him, right?” she asked with a smile, though Xiang Yu wasn’t sure if it was really a question.
What have I gotten myself into? he wondered.
“Ah, would you look at the time. I need to go back and craft weapons,” Xiang Yu said as he got up.
But before he could leave, Elder Guo jumped at him and grabbed him by his waist.
“Disciple, you must save me!” he pleaded.
Xiang Yu looked to the side. “Master, have some dignity. How could you ask your disciple to save you from your wife?”
“What dignity? I’m really going to die – she’s so fierce. You must save me!” he said. Elder Guo looked at him pleadingly. “My disciple, I’ve always taken care of you like my own child. Are you really going to watch me die?” He decided to use his ULT seeing as his earlier method had failed.
Xiang Yu glanced at him and at his martial aunt. He seemed conflicted.
He thought to himself that his master was nice to him – he was also the only one who understood his pain, as he also suffered like that from Li Yao. How could he be so unfilial? His face filled with determination. He couldn’t let her take advantage of his master, even if she was the martial aunt.
He would fight for his master.
When he saw his disciple’s expression, Elder Guo’s face brightened, filling with hope. Finally, he could escape this hell! It was nice to take care of this boy back then – otherwise, he would really have died.
Xiang Yu looked at Elder Huang and began, “Martial Aunt, you should let the master rest too. He’s getting old, so doing this too often isn’t good for his health.” He paused. “It’s also bad for the baby,” he added.
Elder Guo nodded. As expected of his disciple.
Elder Huang looked at Xiang Yu, her eyes almost tearing up. “You and your wife always leave all your duties to me. I’m so old and even pregnant – don’t you care for me? I don’t even care about my own health but the baby…Luckily I can always recharge with my husband, and now you want to take even this from me? Do you really want to kill your ancestors?” she said.
Xiang Yu’s lips twitched. She didn’t even bother softening the blow and used her ULT instantly. She even admitted that she was old.
Xiang Yu stared at her and she stared back at him, both looking at each other fiercely. For her to openly admit that she was old, she was telling him that she had nothing to lose and would go all out.
Well played, he thought, sighing.
He extended out his hand. Elder Guo wondered if his disciple was going to fight the martial aunt just for him, he was so touched. But unlike what he had expected, Elder Huang extended her hand and they shook hands.
“Please take care of my master,” Xiang Yu said.
“Of course,” she said as she leaped away, taking Elder Guo with her.
“Noooooo!” Elder Guo screamed, but Xiang Yu could only watch. He saluted.
Master, this disciple will always remember your sacrifice, he thought, a tear running down his cheek.
He wiped it as he turned around. “Looks like it’s going to rain soon,” he thought.
