Xiang Yu sat in a meditative posture next to the spirit vein.

All the other clones were doing the same.

He glanced at the system screen as the other clones slowly returned to their duties.

He then reactivated the bloodline reactor on all the bloodlines, letting them go at it. He thought to himself that he could take advantage of his body upgrading to boost them even more.

Half an hour later, the reaction hadn’t stopped and was getting even more heated.

It was just like before, his two physiques were interfering with each other, preventing either of them from upgrading effectively. He smiled. He didn’t worry about it too much, since the system had already marked them as leveled up, they would find a way somehow.

For now, he would make use of the intensifying reaction to get benefits, such as maybe stimulating his spiritual root. He checked his spiritual root stats and saw how its experience was counting up fast and didn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon.

He smiled, this was quite the unexpected bonus.

A few hours later, the reaction continued to intensify more and more and felt as though it would never end. “I’m starting to think this wasn’t a good idea,” Xiang Yu thought as he saw how the intensity of both physiques was rising.

Before, he had the Chaos Physique and the two bloodlines interfering with the Transcendent Body breakthrough. Ultimately, the two had given in, and then the Transcendent Body had upgraded. But now, the Stellar Constellation and the Transcendent Body were both of the same status, and thus neither was giving in to the other.

He attempted to use the void flame to calm them down, but they didn’t care about the flame at all.

He wondered what to do now. Would this continue on forever? Surely not, right?

As he was thinking about this, he suddenly felt something pop, it was his spiritual root. It had finally reached a critical point. He felt the spiritual root transform into a black hole like before and start violently vacuuming all nearby spiritual energy.

Seeing this, Xiang Yu saw a chance.

He redirected all the energy the two physiques’ fighting was producing thanks to his reactor-like body, feeding it all to the spiritual root.

As he did this, the physiques seemed to be slowly calming down.

His body instantly transformed into his monster form, his blob-like body expanding and eating all the food in one gulp before transforming back into his human body. Xiang Yu thought to himself that he had done all the preparations.

He exhaled deeply as the effects of the upgrade calmed down.
