…
Xiang Yu’s soul was deep within the Absolute End.
Although the system showed no experience points after his soul realm breakthrough, Xiang Yu didn’t care. He still felt pain, and as long as he felt pain, it meant he was still getting stronger.
Since he was still getting stronger, then he wouldn’t stop.
With this thought, he rushed even deeper into the Absolute End.
In the real world, Xiang Yu observed his body with interest. His stellar, war, and chaos bodies were all upgrading to the next realm. Xiang Yu couldn’t wait to see what would come from the upgrade.
He wondered if he would really unlock the dao.
As he thought about this, he suddenly found himself floating before an endless chaos. He wondered if chaos was breaking through first. He observed the chaos around him, then saw it begin to shift and change.
It started off slow but quickly gained speed until he couldn’t keep up anymore.
As the chaos shifted, it gained more and more unique properties, gradually becoming more and more complex until it transformed into something completely different that he couldn’t comprehend.
He wondered if this was the day, reaching out toward it. But before he could grasp it, the scene shattered and he found himself witnessing another scene.
This time, it was combat. Just like with chaos, it started simple and understandable before quickly spiraling into a jumbled mess he could barely comprehend. Next was stellar, and the same thing happened.
Xiang Yu opened his eyes. Something was definitely wrong here. His bodies had already finished upgrading, but he didn’t feel any different.
His eyes widened. “It’s a glimpse,” he thought.
Instead of comprehending the dao, level eleven actually let you glimpse the dao. Did this mean he needed another level up to actually unlock the dao? No, what if it was another glimpse?
He closed his eyes. There was no need to wait. He focused his attention on the glimpses he had witnessed, specifically the chaos one – it was the one he had understood the most. He tried recreating the scene in his head the way he remembered it.
He began by making a model of imaginary chaos. He then slowly began shifting the chaos, adding more and more complexity to it like he had witnessed. But after a few rounds, the entire thing would become unstable and collapse in on itself.
Since he wasn’t able to keep up with the shifting process or comprehend the resulting product, he was unable to recreate it exactly. But Xiang Yu didn’t give up. He continued trying to recreate the concept, using trial and error to eliminate guesses and slowly narrow down the process.
Even so, there were so many shifts that even with his creator-level mind that made it appear as though time was standing still, he would still need an extremely long time to figure it out. But this wasn’t an issue for him. Now that he had narrowed down the problem to just a matter of completing a puzzle, he gave this train of thought to his clones in the inner world.
At the same time, he made another fresh batch of one thousand.
With these over two thousand clones, Xiang Yu could use them as a super powerful computer with many cores and spread the work among them to make the entire process easier.
He smiled. It wouldn’t be long before he cracked the puzzle.
…
Xiang Yu wondered what would happen if he learned the dao.
He supposed his realm would probably stay the same just like before, still needing to progress in the sage realm. Even so, the power sure wouldn’t stay the same. Even though his realm would stay in the first path of the sage realm, he should be able to take on a dao realm.
This meant that he would be able to take on the sage easily.
Problem solved.
Although he had already erected the sage-level formations, having his own strength was the best.
Xiang Yu observed his soul that continued going deeper and deeper into the Absolute End.
It seemed to be advancing as it easily adapted to the situation around it, gaining resistance to the absolute end. Even so, this was slowing down as exp had stopped flowing.
Xiang Yu decided not to stop even after the exp flow stopped. As long as it advanced, even though slowly, it should be able to break through at some point. He was doing the same thing with his bloodline after all.
As he thought of this, his expression changed.
There was an even better way of speeding up the advancement. He summoned his system screen and looked at the fusion function. He wasn’t completely sure about this but decided to give it a try anyway.
He used the remaining upgrade chance.
Before, he had tried using it to upgrade the cultivation library to source level but failed. He decided to use it on the fusion function this time.
