Infinite Awakening: My Exp Doubles Everyday - Chapter 477: Guo Yuxuan

Chapter 477: Guo Yuxuan
A boy appeared before a huge house.
“Mom, Dad…” he shouted, waving his hand. “I’m back,” the boy said.
Guo Shantian, who was reading a newspaper from his reclining chair, raised his gaze.
“Are you two years old? Why do you report when you’re back?” Elder Guo spoke with a dissatisfied expression.
The son ignored his father’s tone and showed something in his hand. “Look what I found,” he said.
“That is…” Shantian was shocked for a moment, then returned to his usual expression. “How did you get that boy Liu Feng to give you something?” he asked.
The boy just laughed smugly.
Shantian sighed. This kid didn’t seem that smart. Did he really believe that Liu Feng would give him something so willingly? As he thought of this, he sensed a presence and slowly turned his head.
“Old man…” Huang Fengqi began before pausing. “Ah, son… you’re back,” she spoke.
Suddenly, her expression changed. Shantian’s expression also changed as he got up from his seat. “This is…” He then smiled widely. “Those unfilial disciples finally remembered their old man,” he said.
“Unfilial disciples?” the son wondered. His eyes then widened. There were only two people that his father acknowledged as disciples. He looked at the book in his hand. “The Ancestor and his wife?”
Shantian broke out in laughter. “Hahaha, looks like you’re finally going to get a name,” he said as he ruffled his hair.
“A name?” the boy wondered. He had never received a name, even after living for millions of years. His parents didn’t even allow him to take a Daoist name. Now he finally understood why all those elders always looked at him with envious gazes. The Ancestor was his father’s disciple. It seemed his father wanted him to receive a name from the Ancestor.
At that moment, they saw three figures descending from the sky. It was Sect Master Liu Qing, Xiang Yu, and Li Yao.
“You brats… finally remembered your master after all these years?” Shantian spoke as the three landed.
Xiang Yu was about to kneel to greet his master when both Shantian and Fengqi appeared next to him, preventing him. “Little Yu, don’t make things harder for your master,” she spoke. She thought to herself that the entire sect system of this sect was so broken.
Xiang Yu was now the Ancestor, so him kneeling wouldn’t be good.
“But Master said I was unfilial. I was trying to show my filiality,” Xiang Yu said.
Shantian coughed in embarrassment. This kid even heard him from so far away. How strong was he now?
“Ahem, I just said that in passing. How could you be unfilial?” he said, looking to the side.
Xiang Yu smiled. The Master and Martial Aunt were still the same as always.
“What’s your name?” Li Yao asked, appearing before Shantian’s son.
The kid was frozen for a second. He wondered what the hell that was – one moment she was there with the others, and the next she was before him. Not even Uncle Liu Feng could move this fast.
As he was thinking of what to say, Xiang Yu appeared next to Li Yao.
“Don’t scare your nephew like that,” Xiang Yu said. He then looked at the boy, who also looked at him. He smiled, then extended his hand, placing it on the boy’s head. “From now on, you are Yuxuan. Guo Yuxuan,” Xiang Yu spoke, causing the boy to feel a wave of energy flowing through him.
“What are you doing? Quickly thank the Ancestor,” Fengqi urged.
The boy bowed deeply. “Thank you, Ancestor.”
…
Xiang Yu, Li Yao, and the rest had dinner in Guo Shantian’s house as they caught up with each other.
Although Xiang Yu already knew all this, he didn’t hate it.
After they were done eating, Li Yao stood up. “You… become my disciple,” she said to Yuxuan with a smile.
The others were shocked by this turn of events. After all, Li Yao wasn’t really the kind of person to want responsibilities. But Xiang Yu just smiled. This girl’s way of thinking was really strange.
Li Yao wore a satisfactory smile. “Hmph, don’t think I don’t see it,” she thought. She could tell that the Master and Martial Aunt clearly wanted Xiang Yu to take Yuxuan as his disciple. They had even refused to give him a name for so long.
She wouldn’t let that happen – she wanted all of Senior Brother’s time to herself. As for the disciple, he was already at the Dao Realm. There was nothing to teach in this realm.
It was all just for appearances.
Yuxuan looked at his mother, who nodded at him. “Disciple greets Master,” he said.
Li Yao nodded. “Good, good,” she said. “Take this as a meeting gift,” she said, producing a golden bell from nowhere and handing it to him.
“A… a… a Heavenly Dao Treasure?” Fengqi exclaimed. Her expression then turned more serious. “Xiao Yao…” she began. “I’ve always treated you as…”
But before she could finish, “You can have one too. No need to resort to such methods,” Li Yao said, throwing a pair of earrings toward her. This Martial Aunt had grown even more shameless over the years.
Suddenly, Shantian’s expression became serious too. “Disciple Li Yao…” he began.
“No way. I’m not giving you anything, old man. How can you be so shameless?” she said, shaking her head.
Shantian looked at her. “You never paid dowry for our Xiang Yu,” he spoke, causing Li Yao to freeze.
He then began counting on his hand. “I let you off because you were poor back then, but even after becoming so rich, you don’t want to give anything?” He then looked to the side. “It’s fine. It’s my fault for expecting anything,” he said with a resigned expression.
“This old man’s skills have improved,” Xiang Yu thought.
“Master, you misunderstood,” Li Yao said cheerfully, placing loads of treasures on the table.
Shantian glanced at his wife, who was staring at him with a strange expression. “Hmph, although your skills are good, you’re still a million years too young to compete with this old man,” he thought, picking up the treasures.
…
A/N: Yes, I know li yao’s reasoning here about the disciple thing makes no sense. But then…its li yao…
