Chapter 134: Epic Battle!
“Haha, I knew you had also comprehended a Sword Intent Seed!” Ye Beichen’s laughter rang out, sharp and filled with pride. His eyes burned with excitement as he stared at Li Yun. “But do you really think that is enough to defeat me?”
The instant his voice faded, his body blurred and vanished from sight.
In the next heartbeat he reappeared before Li Yun, his sword already thrusting forward, its tip aimed directly at Li Yun’s heart. The blade carried no flashy technique and no elemental power. It was pure Sword Intent, condensed and sharpened to an extreme.
Li Yun’s pupils contracted, yet his expression remained calm. His arm moved almost instinctively as his own sword rose to intercept the strike.
Bang!
The two blades collided with a deafening explosion. A terrifying wave of Sword Intent erupted outward, sweeping across the entire arena. The wind howled violently, dust spiraled into the air, and the stone beneath their feet cracked as if struck by invisible hammers.
Their swords locked together, edges grinding as streams of grey and silver intent surged from both sides, clashing in midair like two storms colliding head on.
The arena trembled under the pressure.
“What is that pressure?”
“It feels like my chest is being pressed down!”
“Their Sword Intent is terrifying!”
The disciples watching from the distance were all shocked. The aura generating from their clash was enough to make them all tremble.
“Haha, you are strong too, Ye Beichen,” Li Yun said, his voice steady despite the overwhelming force pressing against him. “But I want to see the true limits of your Sword Intent Seed.”
His eyes shone with an intense light. He could feel it clearly. His own Sword Intent Seed was on the brink of transformation. It trembled within him, as though eager to break free from its shell and become a true Sword Intent. This battle was not merely a contest of strength. It was the final step he needed.
With that thought, Li Yun grinned. He circulated all three of his cultivation techniques to their limits, each one roaring through his meridians like a rushing river.
At the same time, the Ninefold Origin Flesh Scripture surged within his body, strengthening his flesh and bones to an astonishing degree. The combined force of four supreme arts erupted from him in a single instant.
The pressure around him exploded outward.
Ye Beichen’s expression changed as the locked blades trembled violently. The overwhelming surge of power forced him backward. The clash broke apart and Ye Beichen was blasted several meters away, his feet skidding across the shattered ground before he finally stabilized himself.
“Did you see that?”
“Ye Beichen was pushed back!”
“That force just now was terrifying!”
The disciples were shocked once again seeing Li Yun pushed Ye Beichen back in direct confrontation.
“Now it is my turn,” Li Yun said softly.
His figure flickered as he activated the Phantom Gale Steps. To the disciples watching from below, it was as though he had vanished completely. In less than a breath, he closed the distance and appeared before Ye Beichen, his sword raised high.
A sharp gasp rose from the audience.
“He disappeared!”
“He is too fast. I could not even see him move!”
Li Yun’s blade glowed with a brilliant grey radiance. There was no technique behind it and no decorative movement. It was a pure Sword Intent strike, direct and absolute.
Ye Beichen did not retreat. His own Sword Intent surged wildly, enveloping his blade as he met the attack head on.
Clang!
The impact shattered the ground beneath their feet. Stone exploded outward in all directions, and a violent shockwave rippled through the arena like a tidal wave. Both of them were forced back five steps, their boots carving deep grooves into the stone floor as they slid to a halt.
“Again!” Li Yun laughed, exhilaration rising in his chest.
He moved once more. His figure flashed forward, appearing in front of Ye Beichen as if he had torn through space itself.
Clang!
Another collision. Another explosion of Sword Intent that swept across the arena, causing the protective formations around it to tremble visibly.
“This is good!” Li Yun’s laughter echoed through the chaos.
He could feel it clearly now. His Sword Intent Seed was being tempered by every clash. Each collision with Ye Beichen’s intent was like a hammer striking steel, refining it, sharpening it, pushing it closer to perfection.
His eyes grew fiercer.
Then he attacked in a frenzy.
His sword descended once, then twice, then three times, each strike faster than the last. He did not pause and he did not retreat. His movements became increasingly wild yet strangely precise, like a beast that had tasted blood and grown intoxicated by battle. Every slash carried condensed Sword Intent that split the air and left visible cracks in its wake.
Ye Beichen responded with equal ferocity. His own Sword Intent Seed flared brilliantly, and he met each strike without hesitation. Their blades collided again and again, sparks and intent bursting outward in violent waves.
Soon their figures began to flash across the entire arena.
They appeared at one end in a blur of light, their swords colliding in an explosive clash. In the next instant they were at the opposite side, shockwaves tearing through the ground. They rose into the air and clashed midflight, then descended like meteors, smashing into the arena floor and sending fragments of stone flying in every direction.
The entire arena shook continuously under the relentless bombardment of their Sword Intent.
To the disciples observing from below, the scene was almost incomprehensible. Most of the geniuses at the fifth level of Xiantian Realm could not even perceive their movements. Even some at the sixth level struggled to follow the battle. All they could see were flashes of grey and silver light streaking across the arena and hear the deafening clang of blades colliding.
Each collision was followed by a visible shockwave that rippled outward, distorting the air and cracking the stone floor.
They could not see the swords clearly.
They could not see the footwork.
They could only witness the aftermath of destruction and the terrifying aura of Sword Intent that filled every corner of the arena.
Li Yun and Ye Beichen were not using any martial techniques.
They were not relying on elements.
They were battling purely with their Sword Intent Seeds, refining and crushing each other’s will through the most direct and brutal confrontation.
And with every clash, the air grew heavier, the pressure grew stronger, and the Sword Intent within Li Yun surged closer and closer to breaking through its final barrier.
