Chapter 161: Fu Ting’s Concern!
“Take this punch!”
At the same moment, Zhu Ximen stepped forward and finally made his move. He did not even draw upon his full strength and likely used less than a fraction of his true power. He threw out two seemingly casual punches, yet the force behind them was terrifying. The air in front of him shattered as if struck by a heavy hammer, and visible ripples surged outward like waves crashing across the battlefield.
A deafening explosion followed. In the blink of an eye, five or six Blood Zombies were obliterated, their bodies bursting apart and dissolving into clouds of blood.
“Die!”
A cold light flickered in Li Yun’s eyes as he moved immediately after Zhu Ximen.
He did not draw a weapon. Instead, he raised his hand and used it like a blade, slashing forward through empty air. A sharp arc of cold light shot outward, slicing through the space before him. Seven or eight Blood Zombies were cleaved cleanly in two, their bodies collapsing before they even understood what had happened.
The battle ended almost as soon as it had begun. Within moments, nearly the entire group of Blood Zombies had been wiped out by Li Yun and the others. Only their leader remained, the one whose cultivation had reached the fifth level of the Xiantian Realm.
The leader’s expression changed drastically. “This is bad. We have encountered true experts.”
He was no fool. The overwhelming display of strength made it instantly clear that these were not ordinary opponents. Without hesitation, he turned and tried to flee.
“Trying to escape? It is already too late.”
A faint, cold smile appeared on Li Yun’s lips. Once again, he formed his hand into a blade and slashed forward. The sharp streak of light vanished almost as soon as it appeared, cutting through the air and striking the fleeing Blood Zombie leader.
A miserable scream echoed across the ruined town.
Under his own horrified gaze, both of his legs were severed cleanly from his body. Blood sprayed outward as the detached limbs spun through the air. His upper body crashed heavily to the ground, unable to support itself.
Li Yun walked toward him step by step, his expression utterly devoid of warmth.
“No. No. Do not kill me,” the Blood Zombie leader cried out in terror, his voice trembling as fear overtook him.
Li Yun stopped in front of him and looked down coldly. “Tell me where the Blood Zombie Young Master is.”
Originally, he had only planned to eliminate a few elite Blood Zombies to earn contribution points. However, after witnessing the hellish scene within the town, his thoughts had completely changed.
This group of Blood Zombies had to be eradicated without mercy.
And the most direct way to accomplish that was to eliminate the so called Blood Zombie Young Master, the true head behind this slaughter.
“If you promise not to kill me, I will tell you where the Young Master is.”
The Blood Zombie leader stared at Li Yun with overwhelming fear, his voice shaking uncontrollably as he spoke.
A cold glint flashed across Li Yun’s eyes. He let out a faint, disdainful snort. “Do you believe you are still in a position to negotiate with me? If you speak truthfully, I will grant you a swift death. If you refuse, I will show you what it truly means to beg for death and not receive it.”
Terror flooded the Blood Zombie leader’s face under Li Yun’s icy gaze. He swallowed hard and hurriedly said, “I will tell you. The Young Master is hiding in the Blood Demon Cave, three thousand miles from here.”
Li Yun’s expression remained unchanged as he continued, “How many Blood Zombies are stationed inside the Blood Demon Cave?”
He had already suspected that this so called Blood Zombie Young Master had likely inherited the legacy of the Blood Zombie Demon General. Such an opponent would not be easy to deal with. He understood that to defeat a powerful enemy, one must first understand them clearly. He had no intention of acting recklessly.
The Blood Zombie leader did not dare to conceal anything. “Inside the Blood Demon Cave, there are fifty Blood Zombies at the fourth level of the Xiantian Realm, thirty at the sixth level, and eight at the seventh level. As for the Young Master, his cultivation has reached the peak of the ninth level of the Xiantian Realm.”
“Very well. You may die now.”
After obtaining the information he needed, Li Yun casually waved his hand. A sharp force swept through the air, and the Blood Zombie leader’s head was severed cleanly from his body. It spun upward before falling heavily to the ground. His corpse lay motionless in a spreading pool of blood.
Once it was over, Li Yun turned toward Fu Ting. “We now know the location of the Blood Zombie Young Master. However, you are the captain of this mission. Whether we proceed to the Blood Demon Cave and eliminate him should be your decision.”
Fu Ting’s eyes flickered with conflicted emotions. “I also wish to go directly to the Blood Demon Cave and kill that despicable Blood Zombie Young Master,” she said with clenched teeth. “But based on the information we just heard, there are too many powerful opponents gathered there. With our current strength, charging in would be no different from throwing away our lives.”
Though anger burned within her, she did not allow it to cloud her judgment. Facing so many Xiantian Realm experts, including one at the peak of the ninth level, their current lineup simply did not possess the strength to storm the Blood Demon Cave without courting certain death.
At that moment, Zhu Ximen let out a relaxed laugh. “There is no need to worry. With Li Yun and me here, unless a Qi Sea Realm expert is hiding inside the Blood Demon Cave, a mere Blood Zombie Young Master at the ninth level of the Xiantian Realm is nothing we cannot handle.”
Fu Ting looked at him with clear doubt in her eyes. From her perception, Zhu Ximen’s aura seemed to be only around the seventh level of the Xiantian Realm, while Li Yun appeared to be at the third level. Both of them were still far from the peak of the ninth level, which was where the Blood Zombie Young Master stood. Under such circumstances, Zhu Ximen’s confidence naturally sounded questionable.
“Are you certain?” she asked again.
