Chapter 226: Dominating the Battle!
“What is that form?”
Even Xiao Fanyun could not hide his surprise as he stared at the lightning armor enveloping Li Yun. The crackling wings, the blazing gauntlets, and the radiant chestplate all gave off an overwhelming sense of power.
However, unlike the elders, he knew nothing about the history behind the Heavenly Lightning Battle Armor. To him, it was merely an impressive technique. Although it looked extraordinary, he did not take it too seriously.
“Li Yun, do not think that such tricks make you special.”
Xiao Fanyun sneered coldly. Then he formed a seal with his palm, raising and lowering his hand in a swift motion as his voice rang out across the arena.
“Great Cloud Hand!”
A deep humming sound spread through the air as an immense surge of qi erupted from his body and rose toward the sky. In an instant, it condensed into a massive cloud palm that loomed high above like a mountain. The pressure it released was suffocating, distorting the surrounding air as faint ripples spread outward from its surface.
Within that vast cloud palm, a mysterious force gathered.
This was the power of Cloud Intent.
“Fall!”
A chilling killing intent flashed through Xiao Fanyun’s eyes as he thrust his hand downward. The colossal cloud palm descended from the sky with terrifying speed, leaving behind a streak of white light as it crushed downward.
Before it even reached the ground, the sheer pressure it emitted reduced the surrounding arenas to dust. The earth trembled violently, collapsing inward as a massive hand-shaped crater began to form beneath it.
Such power was enough to overwhelm even a first level Qi Sea Realm expert in an instant.
Li Yun watched the descending cloud palm with shining eyes.
“So this is twenty percent Cloud Intent. Impressive.”
His lips curved into a faint smile, yet there was no trace of fear in his expression. Instead, his gaze burned with excitement.
As the massive cloud hand came crashing down toward him, Li Yun suddenly clenched his fist and drove it upward. Lightning surged wildly around his arm, gathering into a blazing force.
A deafening explosion erupted the moment his fist collided with the cloud palm.
The immense cloud construct shattered instantly, breaking apart as if it had struck an indestructible force. The remnants of qi scattered in all directions before dissipating completely.
“This is impossible!”
Xiao Fanyun’s eyes widened in disbelief. One of his strongest attacks had been destroyed so effortlessly that he could not even process what had just happened.
“Xiao Fanyun, you are too weak.”
Li Yun’s voice was calm, almost indifferent, as arcs of lightning continued to flicker around his armor.
“You disappoint me.”
Before the words had fully settled, his figure blurred into a streak of blue lightning. In the next instant, he appeared right in front of Xiao Fanyun, his fist already driving forward toward his opponent’s abdomen.
“Fast!”
Xiao Fanyun’s expression changed instantly. Without hesitation, he mobilized his twenty percent Cloud Intent and condensed a dense wall of cloud in front of him, attempting to block the incoming strike.
A thunderous impact echoed across the arena.
Li Yun’s lightning-covered fist tore through the cloud barrier as if it were nothing more than loose earth. The defensive wall shattered in an instant, and the force of the blow slammed directly into Xiao Fanyun, sending him flying backward.
“Do you really think clouds can stop lightning?”
Li Yun let out a faint laugh, clearly feeling the overwhelming power coursing through his body under the enhancement of the Heavenly Lightning Battle Armor.
Xiao Fanyun rolled across the ground before finally coming to a stop. Blood seeped from the corner of his mouth as he struggled to steady himself. His eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at Li Yun.
“How can you be this strong?”
A furious roar escaped his lips as he raised both hands. Qi surged wildly, and he immediately activated a sixth-tier secret art.
“Cloud Forming Swords!”
In an instant, ten cloud-forged swords appeared around him, each one carrying a sharp and concentrated Sword Intent. The aura surrounding them was fierce and oppressive.
Xiao Fanyun’s strength was not without reason. Not only had he cultivated his Cloud Intent to twenty percent mastery, but his Sword Intent had also reached ten percent.
Had he faced anyone else, victory in the Four Peaks Tournament would have undoubtedly been his.
Unfortunately for him, his opponent was Li Yun.
“Take this!”
With a roar, Xiao Fanyun summoned another ten cloud swords, bringing the total to twenty. With a single motion, he launched them forward. The swords shot through the air at terrifying speed, their momentum alone generating visible shockwaves.
“Weak. Far too weak.”
Li Yun smiled faintly. Lightning gathered in his hand and condensed into a radiant sword, while the wings behind him flared with explosive force. In the next instant, he surged forward like a bolt of lightning, charging directly toward the incoming swords.
As he met the barrage, his arm moved with incredible speed.
A series of sharp explosions rang out one after another.
Each swing of his lightning sword deflected the incoming cloud blades, sending them flying back toward Xiao Fanyun. In mere moments, Li Yun had neutralized the entire attack, his movements so fast that they left behind streaks of light in the air.
“Xiao Fanyun, is that all you have?”
Li Yun’s voice was calm as he looked down at his opponent.
Xiao Fanyun slowly lifted his head, his expression dark and heavy. The confidence he once held had begun to waver. At this point, not only had his revenge for his younger brother become uncertain, even victory itself seemed out of reach.
A bitter thought surfaced in his mind.
If the Alchemy Pavilion had not granted Li Yun the status of Supreme Alchemist, he could have acted earlier. He could have dragged Li Yun out and crushed him before he had the chance to grow.
But now, everything had changed.
The opportunity was gone.
Seeking revenge against Li Yun had become nothing more than an impossible dream.
