Jin Wang Dotes on His Concubine - Chapter 19

Chapter 19
With a stabbing pain in her body, she opened her eyes. She felt a strong arm wrap around her body. When she opened her eyes, she saw not the familiar ceiling, but his strong chest that had hugged her the night before.
‘Oh my God, did we really sleep like this?’
Her body trembled in response to the unexpected embarrassment. He hugged her even tighter in his sleep as he felt the movement.
In the beginning, she only felt bare skin. He was sleeping with an even breath when he gave her one side of his arm, despite her arm jerking away.
The bedroom was still dark. The curtains were meticulously drawn to block out the sunlight so they could sleep late.
It was difficult to estimate the time. Meriel gently pushed his shoulder away from her arms.
“…Meriel?”
“Did I wake you up?”
As she was about to leave, he hugged her even tighter and called out in a voice that didn’t wake him up.
Meriel lifted her face from his chest and pressed her hand against his shoulder.
“Aren’t you supposed to get up?”
“……”
As he buried his face in Meriel’s head, he took her breath. He rubbed her face and pressed his nose to her crown. His canine-like behavior was endearing and made her laugh. Nonetheless, it was time to get up.
Klaus, who was still half asleep, acted like a child.
“Klaus, you have to get up, don’t you?”
On the first morning, Meriel twisted her body at his unmanly behavior. Then, from below, a manly part slowly hinted at its presence. Meriel was taken aback by his vivid touch and looked at him in awe.
“Klaus?”
He opened his eyes after a few calls. He blinked several times as he looked at her in front of him. He closed his eyes gently, stroking his soft, bare skin with her.
“Klaus?”
She called out his name once more. In contrast to his closed eyes, she could see his earlobes turning redder and redder. He has clearly awoken.
“Come on, let me up.”
As Meriel pushed his chest away from her, he fell to the edge of the bed, as if anticipating. Meriel raised her freed body. Then she slowly turned her head. The body that bore the marks of last night’s eager kisses appeared to be shameful once more.
‘Shouldn’t I be embarrassed?’
Meriel put on a new negligee that was lying on the bedside table, thinking her position had shifted slightly.
Klaus sat on the bed and watched her.
“I’m hungry, would you like to join me?”
He just stared at her without saying anything.
Meriel can still see him half-sitting on the bed, and she quickly realizes what’s going on.
“First and foremost, I’m going to leave.”
“…….”
He turned his head quietly because he couldn’t make eye contact.
Meriel, who was about to say that there was no need to be so embarrassed, shut the door and walked away.
It was due to his visit to her the night before. She pondered whether she would continue to encourage him.
The sun was shining brightly through the window as she came out of the living room.
She could tell it was getting close to noon because she rang her bell to summon the maid.
“Could you please bring me something to eat?”
Her maid entered, greeted Meriel, and then exited.
It would not have been a mistake to see her wearing only her negligee in order to shed her joyous feelings.
Meriel went to change into her regular clothes in the dressing room.
Perhaps because she had rung the bell, her maids was waiting in the dressing room to assist her with changing her clothes.
“Congratulations, Princess.”
“Congratulations.”
She gave an awkward smile to the maids who congratulated her to the point of embarrassment.
She was dressed in a dark blue dress and underwear.
Her bed sheets from the night before, before going to the bathroom, were stained with blood.
It was gone when she awoke in the morning, as if Klaus had replaced it with a new sheet during the night.
Because he, who is shy, would never have called her maids at dawn.
He would have changed the bed sheets by himself, but she burst out laughing when she thought of him.
He was waiting for her in his shirt and pants when she changed her clothes and went out to the living room.
She sat across from him, her gaze fixed on the plainly set table.
“You must consume it all.”
“Ugh.”
“That is beneficial to your health.”
His eyes showed that he was paying close attention to her food.
Meriel laughed as she drank the juice of the grated fruits and vegetables that were good for her body.
“With this, I have completely transformed myself into the Grand Duke’s hostess.”
“It has been that way since the ceremony was held.”
“You could have been a fictitious hostess.”
“What did you think of me?”
“You are the monster, Grand Duke.”
“……”
“Of course I didn’t know, but……”
Meriel laughed as she took a bite of the soft bread.
“When I think back on last night, it wasn’t entirely……”
“……”
“It’s fine to accept the term monster well.”
Klaus ruffled his hair and grind his teeth as Meriel teased him.
“Meriel, you must understand that what you say carries consequences.”
“I’m familiar with it.”
“No.”
His shoulders shook as a result of the intense emotions he was experiencing.
“You don’t know,” he continued.
It was lust emanating from the man’s belly who had experienced it for the first time.
Meriel flinched, averting her gaze from his.
She swore she wouldn’t tease him anymore, but her mouth moved again.
“Oh, my..”
Meriel smiled at him, her hand raised to cover her mouth.
“Then the responsibility I don’t know…… ”
“……”
“Are you going to start teaching me now?”
“Meriel.”
“Huh?”
“Are you sure you don’t want breakfast?” he asked without hiding his lust.
“…….”
Meriel’s lips were clenched.
Her last night’s pain and fatigue had not been alleviated in the slightest. If she went to bed with him again, she was in big trouble.
“Sorry.”
Meriel apologized and smiled broadly. She let out a deep sigh and raised both of her hands to express her desire to surrender.
The emotion of his desire continued to flow from him as he gently closed his eyes, but he was unaware of her embarrassment.
As she looked at his reddened ears, Meriel swallowed her laugh. She was more concerned with filling her hungry stomach than with making fun of him.

Klaus went to his office after finishing a trouble-free breakfast. He hurried his steps as a meeting that he had previously been unable to attend was scheduled.
The person responsible for hurling the monster’s blood at them on Diana’s orders has already been dealt with.
They were also quiet because Meriel had issued her warning to the emperor first.
Klaus was able to spend his first night with her as a result of this. Having said that, he couldn’t really make a bad prank into a ‘joke.’
“And how about the Emperor?”
“No, not yet.” Bran said, as he trailed behind.
He dashed into the drawing room, but the emperor hadn’t yet arrived.
Klaus couldn’t stand to see Meriel shivering in her sleep every night.
He wasn’t going to stand by her no matter what she did to the emperor. He had no intention of relying solely on his wife for support.
“I haven’t seen you in ages, Grand Duke.”
“How are you, Your Majesty?”
The emperor showed up on time.
He showed how hard he worked to keep his position by wearing the emperor’s crown and displaying his dignity all over his face.
Draven is a man who never stops being greedy. Klaus despised him so much that he refused to look at him.
“Congratulations on your marriage.”
“Thank you very much.”
“Even though something unfortunate occurred, I sincerely hope that the Grand Duke’s future is not overshadowed.”
There was a brief silence between the two. Both of them, who wore expressionless expressions, were attempting to peer into each other’s minds.
“Meriel’s past isn’t spotless, but as her uncle, I’m overjoyed that the grand duke accepted her.”
“How do you say there is no one else as clean as the princess’s past? If the princess hears it, she will be sad.”
“Hahahaha… that’d be it again. She’s never been so clean.”
Klaus did not spare himself from being wary of Meriel. She was already his wife and his beloved.
He also knew why Draven wanted to kill Meriel.
‘I can’t forgive you.’
He was an ambitious man who ascended to the throne by assassinating the previous emperor and his wife and trapping his niece.
He is astute and quick-witted. There must be a reason why he graciously accepted the conversation with Klaus.
“Let’s stop staring at each other.”
“……”
“Tell me what the purpose of this meeting is, Grand Duke.”
Draven spoke first, not wanting to keep everyone waiting too long.
“I know what, Your Majesty, did 14 years ago.”
“……”
Draven was unsurprised. He had guessed it when he heard he was getting married, or even earlier when he heard Meriel was going to the Dustin Estate.
“I tried to remain silent despite the fact that I was aware.”
“……”
“Because the princess wasn’t willing to take part.”
Klaus recalled Meriel’s words, as if she had given up on everything. She always had a bright smile on her face, but she also had a lonely, empty expression on her face at times. When Klaus looked at her, he assumed she had given up on vengeance.
For 14 years, she kept the truth about her parents’ deaths hidden and lived a foolish impersonation of her.
Who can do it, to smile at your enemy in front of you? Klaus is heartbroken as he recalls her fourteen years of agony.
He raised the East and strengthened himself to protect her.
He will always back her up so she can pose a threat to Draven. He will make Dustin even more powerful.
“The assassins sent to the princess and the same bad jokes as yesterday.”
“……”
“I’m not going to let it go like the princess did.”
Draven remained calm despite Klaus’ words.
He stroked his long beard, as if he expected it to be this way.
