Chapter 1273: Getting two more sisters soured their mood.
After Nightfire had her tasty lollipop, Aether noticed the soldiers gathering outside Nyx’s mansion.
Their armour clinked as they shifted uneasily, asking them to leave the house as soon as possible, as this place was going to be their new base.
Aether tilted his head, “This house… isn’t even yours?”
Nyx only shrugged.
Aether parted his lips to speak, but he snapped his mouth shut with an audible click. Finally, he forced out, “Where are you going now?”
Nyx blinked at him, as though the question itself puzzled her. “Of course, where my husband lives,” she replied, her voice firm with a matter-of-fact cadence, as if it were the most obvious truth in the world.
Aether froze, then parted his lips again. But once more, no words came, and he shut them.
It’s not that she was wrong, but she could have at least fought for her rights here!
“Sigh… Aether has no home right now,” he muttered in a lost tone.
Yup, Aether really had no house built right now.
He was, at that very moment, a lost homeless man… a cruel irony, considering he bore the title of Emperor, the ruler of Dragons…. And yet here he stood, confused.
Aether’s eyes slid toward the soldiers, their boots scraping the stone as they prepared to march forward and step into the mansion at any moment. His face hardened like stone, voice dropping into a cold command, “Inform your Empress that we will leave this place and if anyone dares to step in… you know what happened, right?”
The soldiers flinched, shoulders jerking under the sharpness of his words. One by one, they nodded quickly, their heads bobbing like puppets. Without daring to meet his gaze, they stepped back, retreating with almost desperate haste, boots clattering against the pavement as they distanced themselves.
Aether turned back toward Nyx. “Well, let’s go then.” His voice softened into a half-smile.
He had lost so many things here.
This cursed place had torn apart his carefully spun plans.
Lia’s memories were gone.
The empire he had intended to capture slipped out of his control.
Everything seemed to fail… everything except one.
His gaze lingered on Nyx, his lips curving.
At least he had gotten this cutie~
Nyx nodded with a small smile of her own before striding toward the front door.
Crack.
She pulled the entire door from its frame, wood splintering as easily as parchment.
“What are you doing?” Aether frowned, stunned at the sight of her hefting the front door like it was luggage.
“Unfortunately, I was unable to move my personal realm once it was allocated,” Nyx replied, voice calm, as she gripped the massive door as though it were a treasure to be preserved.
Aether’s frown loosened into a soft smile. He nodded slowly, eyes half-lidded in thought. “I need to learn a lot of things, it seems…” His voice trailed off as he shrugged, turning toward Nightfire, who stood in the corner, shoulders trembling, her eyes wet with unshed tears.
“Please be safe… sniff… don’t forget me… sniff… sniff… remember this pitiful widow waiting for yo—OUCH!”
Aether flicked his knuckle against her head with a sharp boink. “What the hell are you talking about? You’re coming with me too!”
“Ah?” Nightfire squeaked, eyes widening in surprise. Then, with a sudden shake of her head, she burst out, “Hell no! I can already see my normal daily life of Nightfire ending the moment I follow you! Who knows what kind of shitty situation I’ll get dragged into?
Nope, absolutely not!” She crossed her arms into a stiff X across her chest, chin tilted high in defiance.
Aether only stared at her with a blank face. Then, without a word, he crouched, slid his arms under her, and hoisted her onto his shoulder like she was nothing but a sack of grain.
“You’re coming with me~” he declared as he slapped her ass!
PAT!
“HIKK!!” Nightfire yelped, voice breaking into a squeal, her legs kicking wildly in protest.
Unbothered, Aether strode toward Nyx, who stood watching with an amused glimmer in her eyes. Sliding an arm around her waist, his hand pressed firmly against her hips, Aether leaned close.
“Well then, let’s say goodbye to everything!”
Nyx’s face turned soft and gloomy, her eyes glimmering with a sadness she could not hide. She couldn’t believe she was being forced to leave her own place, the home she had once nurtured, the walls she had watched grow around her with years of care.
She was still reluctant about leaving, her body trembling with the urge to turn back. Some part of her still wanted to face the Empress, to beg forgiveness, to plead for mercy… but… but—
“Nyx, I promise you… You will be back to this house.” Aether said with a reassuring smile.
Nyx’s lips trembled before curving into the faintest smile. She lowered her head, cheeks flushing pink, and nodded.
“L-Let me go!!” Nightfire, on the other hand, shattered the heavy moment with her shrill cry. She squirmed on Aether’s shoulder like a captured beast, thrashing her arms and legs in protest.
Aether, of course, didn’t loosen his grip… leaving her behind was never an option.
Who knew what those bitches might do to her if she stayed?
Maybe something similar to what had happened to Lia.
That would be the last thing he ever allowed.
“Why are you not coming with me? Do you hate me now?” Aether’s tone dropped into misery, his eyes wide, his lips trembling as he looked up at her with the most pitiful expression imaginable.
Nightfire froze mid-struggle, her sharp eyes narrowing at him. “Don’t you dare use that face.”
“R-Really?” His features twisted into something even more pitiful, his voice cracking like a wounded puppy.
“Arrgh!! Fuck you!!” Nightfire groaned, her shout echoing down the hall. She exhaled sharply, shoulders sagging, before muttering under her breath.
“Fine… maybe being with you means I could at least get your cock all the time, but…” She bit her lip hard, “You better not get into fights or some weird things, you got it?”
Aether just smiled, lips curving like he held a secret. He knew there was no way he could answer her honestly.
Weird things? Trouble? Danger?
Those were like shadows bound to his footsteps.
Nightfire clicked her tongue, “Tsk, I knew it! You fucking asshole! Let me go!!”
But Aether could see through her act. If Nightfire truly wanted to escape, she could have slipped from his grip long ago.
She wasn’t trying to run — she was making a scene, her way of masking hesitation. Beneath the noise, it was her own twisted way of showing she cared about him.
“Did you pack your things?” Aether asked casually, turning his head as though her tantrum hadn’t shaken him at all.
“Of course, duh—Wait, no! That’s not what I meant… arrgh! Let me go, you pervert!!” Nightfire’s face burned crimson as though he had just caught her red-handed with a secret she didn’t want to admit.
See… that was her way of showing concern for him!
“I will fuck you for an entire week if you come with me,” Aether said with a sly smirk.
Nightfire ground her teeth, her whole body stiffening. “I am not falling for that trick!! Hmph!!”
“Two weeks?”
“N-No… I-I would not… no…” Her voice wavered, her lips trembling, until she shouted in frustration. “Fuck!! I am Nightfire! I would not bend my normal life for any—”
“A month.”
There was a silence, and the next second she moved from his shoulder and picked up her bags and things and put a hat on her head, walking forward, as she looked at them with a weird face,
“What are you waiting for? Let’s go! YAY! New home!!” Nightfire shouted with a pure smile.
“…..”
“…”
Both Aether and Nyx blankly stared at her.
Cough, cough…
Nightfire coughed awkwardly, her cheeks turning pink as she averted her eyes.
Anyway, Aether quietly gathered their belongings, slipping them into his storage space.
Then, he lowered his mask over his face, its black surface catching a faint glimmer. His arm wrapped firmly around both Nyx and Nightfire. In the next instant, black energy surged around their bodies, cloaking them like living smoke… and then, with a whispering rush of air, they disappeared from the spot entirely.
Meanwhile, back at Mary’s mansion.
“It seems they left the place, sis,” Morgana said, her tone cold, her arms folded as she peered out the window.
Mary smirked faintly, though her eyes flickered with mild disappointment. “Here I was hoping for some more fun… sigh.”
“What about Grenthollow? We still haven’t found where it is.”
Mary shrugged with casual indifference, her fingers lazily tracing the rim of a wine glass on the table beside her. “It’s not our problem anymore. The grace disappeared along with Grenthollow… that’s it, and that’s the story that people need to know”
Morgana blinked, then her lips twisted into a smirk. “Good. We can divert the people by saying that… anyway, have you readied everything?”
Mary turned her gaze back toward her sister, a slow nod. “Everything is set and ready. The moment it begins… we will be the first.”
Morgana’s expression brightened with satisfaction. She gave her sister a sharp thumbs-up.
“You’re getting good at this, sis.”
Mary blinked, then suddenly brought a hand to her cheek, fluttering her lashes,
Oh~ please don’t tease me, sis~ I’m blushing, you know!”
Her voice turned singsong as she acted like a shy girl caught in a compliment, though her smirk betrayed her act.

Meanwhile, in the Pyra Empire.
Victor appeared in a shimmer of black energy along with Nyx and Nightfire, their figures stabilising inside the grand palace. The moment their feet touched the polished obsidian floors, both women’s eyes widened, awestruck, as if they were witnessing it for the first time.
“Shit… this always amazes me,” Nightfire muttered.
Her gaze darted around, following the palace walls that stretched high and endlessly, their surfaces carved with ancient symbols that pulsed faintly with power.
The designs seemed alive, absorbing the light into the dark.
“Welcome.”
Nightfire flinched, instinctively stepping back before darting behind Victor, peeking around him like a startled child. Her body tensed the moment she realised Emberlyn was standing before them.
But Emberlyn was not alone.
Behind her stood Selene, Thalia, Raven, and Lyirrs.
Selene’s sharp eyes narrowed, Thalia’s lips pressed into a thin line, Raven’s expression hardened with quiet irritation… all three carrying the same annoyed look, as if the very idea of gaining two more sisters soured their mood.
Fuck!!
Their family was growing larger and larger by the day. And that only meant one thing… less and less time to spend alone with Victor/Aether.
Of course, Nyx, seeing the gathered group, had her own wandering thoughts, ’Baby making is tough,’ she mused with a quiet sigh. With so many rivals already clinging to Aether, she doubted she’d be getting a child from him anytime soon.
Nightfire, meanwhile, peeked curiously from behind Victor’s back, her eyes darting over each of the women one by one before turning back to Aether.
“Did you just fuck all the women in our class?
And… is your cock able to handle all these women at the same time?
Are you sure you’re not an incubus?” She barged out the questions like arrows loosed in rapid succession, her tone so blunt it echoed through the grand hall.
“….”
Everyone froze for a second, stunned into silence. Then, a few cheeks reddened as the realisation of her words sank in.
“Hahaha! Did she just say that?” Thalia burst into laughter, clutching her stomach.
Truth be told, some of them had thought the same thing, but none had dared to voice it so boldly. He never answered them when they prodded, yet Nightfire blurted it out without restraint.
Victor ignored her barrage of words and shifted his gaze toward the others. His voice calm, he announced, “Please welcome these two of my idiotic wives—ouch.”
Before he could finish, both Nyx and Nightfire struck his forearm in unison, glaring at him with heated cheeks.
’I am not an idiot!’
Their eyes said that!
That little exchange cracked the tension. Selene and the others smiled, their irritation fading as they beckoned forward and welcomed the two new arrivals into the fold and took them to their new room.
Meanwhile, Victor moved past the greetings and strode toward Lyirrs.
“What’s the current status?”
Lyirrs straightened, her face growing serious as she bowed her head respectfully. “60%, Sir.”
Victor raised his eyebrows in surprise… ’60? That’s fast’ he thought.
