Chapter 1526: Being Sucked feels good, right?
Aether letting his blood be drunk by others?
Wasn’t it dangerous, perhaps even fatal, to allow someone else to taste something so deeply tied to his existence, his lineage, his will?
Well, it had been dangerous once and, in truth, it still was.
Yet everything changed after Aether began sensing his blood not as a passive substance but as something bound to his consciousness. Aether started to control his blood, connecting through his consciousness many times. Aether slowly started to understand how his blood worked… and no, he couldn’t control his entire bloodline ability.
It was not something he could regulate gently.
Like either 0 or 100!
When Aether was wounded, when blood spilled from torn flesh and broken skin, that blood was nothing more than blood. It carried no intent, no power, no authority. It flowed and soaked and dried like any other.
But the moment he offered it deliberately, the moment he chose to let another being drink from him, his blood acted weird and deadly.
Even then, he could not guide it. He could not shape its flow or command its outcome.
Still, Aether noticed something vital. Blood lost through injury was fundamentally different from blood given with intent.
To test this truth, he experimented.
He fed several monsters with blood offered deliberately, his thoughts focused on dominance, on control, on ownership. Those creatures did not last even a breath. Their bodies shattered, reduced to drifting particles before they could scream.
Then he tried again, this time bleeding as if by accident, letting the blood spill with the mindset of injury, helplessness, and lack of choice.
Nothing happened.
No reaction.
No power.
No destruction!
So his Intent was the key.
So far, Aether’s ability existed only at the extremes. 0 or 100%, a.k.a… no power or fully fucking powers!
There was no middle ground.
That was why he allowed Lia to drink his blood now.
As long as his mind framed this act as a wound, as something taken rather than given, his blood would remain harmless.
It would not bind her or destroy her.
’Isn’t that right, Log?’ Aether asked silently.
!~Ding~!
[Affirmative! Took you long enough!]
His lips curved faintly as his gaze lifted to Lia, standing before him, while he remained kneeling at her feet.
Her eyes were cold, sharp as winter glass, studying him.
“So,” she said slowly, “if I drink your blood now, you will never come after me again. You will never seek me out, never look at me again, and never lie to me again. Is that what you’re saying?”
Aether met her gaze without hesitation. His nod was firm, sincere, almost solemn.
“I swear on my love,” he said quietly, “I will never break my word. If you don’t remember, I will leave your life. That is the condition. That is my promise.”
Lia stared at him in silence…. This was perfect. Better than perfect!
It was the cleanest way to sever his presence from her daughter’s life forever.
She had come here only to negotiate, to strike a deal and leave. She never imagined this man would offer something so final, so absolute, something she had never dared to hope for.
After all, the only reason she had worried all this time was him. His persistence, his presence, the way he lingered too close, too often, threatening to pull her daughter into something dangerous, something irreversible!
Her daughter might fall for this bastard again!
But now, if she cut the tie completely, without mercy or hesitation, everything would end here.
Clean and Permanent.
And there was another truth she did not voice…. She had wanted to taste his blood for a very long time.
If he had not been such an irritating, infuriating man obsessed with her daughter, she would have done it long ago, without regret.
Even though the scent of his blood had tempted her more times than she cared to admit, Lia refused to believe she could be swayed by something like that… She was not some mindless creature ruled by hunger alone.
But now… he was offering it to her willingly, presenting it as if on a golden plate.
’This is actually a win-win for me,’ Lia thought, a sly curve forming at the corner of her lips.
Tasting his blood and having her daughter all to herself!
There was no reason to refuse.
Definitely, she wanted it.
’It’s not like I’m going to crave his blood again. Just one time,’ she told herself with a smirk.
She nodded slowly, lifting her chin as she spoke, “Okay. I will drink your blood. But if you trick me, or if you don’t follow our deal even once, I will inform my mother and Aria. You understand that, right?”
Aether nodded immediately.
’Shit. Please work!’ he prayed inwardly. He needed his blood to be tempting enough, powerful enough, to linger in her memory, to make her want it again.
Otherwise, he was making the biggest gamble of his life.
Losing her was never an option. Not now… Not ever!
Lia drew in a slow breath, her tongue slipped out briefly, wetting her lips.
“Give me your wrist,” she said quietly.
Aether blinked, genuinely surprised.
“You don’t want it from my neck?”
She shook her head almost immediately, her brows furrowing as if the suggestion itself offended her.
“Drinking from the neck is sacred,” she said flatly, while thinking, ’As crazy as I might be, there’s no way I’m drinking from his neck.’
Aether exhaled and shook his head in response. He knew vampires usually drank from the neck if the person was close to them.
But there was also another reason… Blood drawn from near the heart was richer, warmer, alive with rhythm.
That warmth lingered on the tongue, crawled through the veins, and made craving inevitable!
And right now… that was exactly what Aether wanted.
He couldn’t afford to lose that advantage.
“You’ve already drunk from my neck before,” he said with a serious tone, “If not from there, I won’t go through with this deal. And I’ll keep nagging you until you remember everything.”
“…”
Lia groaned softly, exhaustion creeping into her expression as her eyes drifted toward his neck.
It wasn’t shyness holding her back.
It was disgust.
She hated the idea of getting that close. Hated the thought of pressing her lips against this bastard’s vulgar neck, of feeling his warmth beneath her mouth.
Just imagining it made her stomach twist.
’Disgusting,’ she thought, nearly gagging at the image alone.
But still… this was her only option. He had already put everything on the line. If she pushed further, she might lose this chance entirely.
And who knew? This could very well be the last time she ever tasted his blood.
She bit her lip, exhaled sharply, then muttered, “Fine…”
Aether smirked.
That’s it.
The bat took the bait~
He tilted his head slightly, exposing his neck, his voice dropping into a low whisper meant only for her.
“Come on. Drink me.”
Lia stared at him, her expression twisting into something between disbelief and irritation.
’Is he seriously trying to look seductive right now?’ she screamed internally. ’That’s not working at all.’
Crouching down, her body folding closer to his, Lia’s lips parted slowly as she inched nearer.
Aether clenched his eyes shut hard, forcing his thoughts inward, gripping onto a single fragile idea… Wounded… Taken… Not offered.
He repeated it like a mantra, his jaw tightening as he braced himself.
He truly was preparing for pain… almost like needles!
Those freaking terrifying needles! Caused trauma to every child!
Lia noticed his tightly shut eyes, the tension in his neck, the way his pulse jumped beneath his skin. A slow, predatory smirk curved her lips as she leaned closer still.
The lingering trace of blood from the knife cut clung to his neck, sliding straight into her senses.
’Fuck.’
The scent flooded her… Rich! Her breath hitched, shoulders tightening as instinct roared awake inside her. Her fangs slid free without permission, her control fraying the moment her tongue brushed the faint smear of blood.
She licked it slowly.
“Hmmm…”
Her body shuddered, a tremor rippling down her spine as her eyes glowed brighter.
’Fuck… this isn’t normal. This is too good!’
Her hands pressed against him as she shifted, drawn toward the hollow between his neck and shoulder where his warmth pulsed strongest, where his heartbeat whispered directly to her hunger.
Chuck!
“ARH!”
Pain exploded through Aether’s neck, like twin lances driving into him. His hand moved instinctively, gripping her tightly, fingers digging into her back as a raw groan tore from his chest.
For a heartbeat, nothing happened.
Then Lia swallowed.
The blood hit her tongue, slid down her throat, and…. everything shattered.
“HMMMMFFFF!!!”
Her eyes flew wide as bliss crashed through her, violent and overwhelming.
Crimson light burned within them as her entire body shuddered. For a fleeting instant, her form flickered like an old T.V channel before returning.
A low, broken sound escaped her as she lost herself to it.
She pushed him down suddenly, driven by instinct rather than thought.
Aether’s back slammed into the ground, the impact knocking the air from his lungs. His eyes snapped open just in time to see her looming over him.
Her face… God! She looked terribly horny!!
He gulped seeing her sexy face, red cheeks and horny looks.
“L-Lia—ARH!”
Chuck!
She bit him again, deeper this time, sealing her mouth to his neck with ruthless hunger. Her arms wrapped around him, holding him down as she drank, pulling his blood into her like it was the only thing that mattered in the world.
Slurrrrrrppppppp~
“Aahhh…”
Aether’s voice broke, the sound torn from him as his body reacted against his will. His toes curled, his spine arching as sensation poured through him. Pain burned hot and sharp, yet tangled with something dizzying, intoxicating, almost euphoric.
Yes, It hurt!… And it felt dangerously good.
“So hot… fuck…” he groaned, forcing himself to stay still even as his body twitched uncontrollably. His breathing turned ragged, his cheeks burning as heat spread through him, ’This is what being sucked by a vampire feels like… fuck, I might get addicted to this. Arh!’
Lia’s thoughts were spiralling just as violently.
’What the fuck… what the fuck is this? What in the Arcane’s name… this blood is so pure, so hot, so intoxicating. Fuck! Fuck! How did my daughter drink this and stay sane? What kind of monster carries something this delicious?!’
Her mind screamed even as her body surrendered. The blood was impossibly pure, thick and rich, flowing like molten warmth. Every swallow sent pleasure rippling through her veins, lighting her nerves on fire.
So hot… So deep…. So perfect~
Her grip tightened unconsciously, holding him closer as she drank, as if afraid the source might disappear.
Hmm~
Her lips stayed sealed to his neck, drinking deeply, greedily. This was the first time she had ever tasted blood like this.
She had tasted the Crimson Elixir of the Null before and known it as exquisite. But this made that feel pale, hollow, meaningless… Compared to this, her ex-husband’s blood wasn’t even worth remembering; the difference was humiliating, in fact.
That wasn’t even worth calling blood… That was filth!
Not metaphorically. Literally!!!!
If she had to rate it, this would shatter the scale entirely. A thousand points wouldn’t even begin to cover it.
And then—
Her body jolted as the taste shifted suddenly on her tongue. The richness deepened, turning sweeter, smoother, layered with something intoxicating, almost wine-like.
This blood wasn’t just delicious.
It was becoming irresistible.
What the fuck was happening to her?
Lia’s cheeks burned red as she continued sucking his blood, her body growing hotter by the second. Heat pooled beneath her skin, spreading fast, making her muscles tense and loosen in uneven waves.
She squirmed unconsciously on top of him, breath coming heavier as instinct drowned reason.
Aether was trembling just as badly. His hand clenched around her back, fingers digging in as heat surged through his body in unfamiliar pulses.
Every nerve felt lit, buzzing, overwhelmed.
“L-Lia… I think it was supposed to be just a sip, right—aarhh~”
The words barely formed. His voice broke, breath hitching as sensation crashed over him again and again.
It felt wrong, confusing, and terrifying, how good it felt, how his body reacted as if being drunk from was pleasure rather than pain.
Yet somewhere beneath the haze, relief flickered.
’This means she’ll come for me again…’
But still,
’Fuck, Lia!’
He tried to steady himself, but she kept drinking, kept pulling him deeper into the heat and dizziness until both of them were slick with sweat.
Their bodies burned, thoughts dissolving into nothing but sensation and hunger.
And finally…
Drip… drip…
Lia finally lifted her head, slow and unsteady, her movements heavy as if gravity itself had doubled. Blood slid from her lips in thick droplets, her crimson eyes unfocused, glassy, and drunk.
“Ha… Ha… Ha”
She panted heavily.
Aether wasn’t any better. His head spun violently, vision swimming as the world blurred beyond her shape. He could barely focus, barely think. A warm drop fell from her lips onto his own, smearing across his mouth as he stared at her through a haze.
Lia’s gaze drifted downward.
His lips.
Stained with blood.
Her body shivered sharply, a tremor running through her as her breathing hitched.
Slowly, unsteadily, she leaned down, lips parting as heat flooded her again.
They hovered inches apart, staring into each other’s eyes for a suspended, dangerous moment.
Blood gathered at the tip of her mouth, thick and dark, before slipping down.
And then her lips collided with his.
“Hmm~”
The sound escaped her before she could stop it.
Aether reacted without thought, without restraint, kissing her back as instinct overpowered sense. Their lips moved, slow at first, tasting, exchanging warmth and blood without understanding how it happened.
“Hmm~ Hmmm~”
Lia groaned softly into his mouth, the taste deepening as blood mixed with saliva, richer and more intoxicating than before. Her hands clenched tightly into his back, pulling him closer as the kiss grew heavier, hungrier.
“Hmmm… Hmmm~”
Aether’s grip slid to her hips, tugging her closer against him. Her body felt cool despite the heat flooding his veins, her lips cold and addictive, the contrast dizzying, like tasting ice while burning alive.
“Hmm~ Hmmm~”
“Lia…”
Those words from Aether’s lips snapped Lia’s messy and drunk expression as her eyes widened when she realised Aether was kissing her lips.
“THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!”
BOOM!!
“Arh!”
Pain exploded across Aether’s face as her fist connected, the impact snapping him out of the haze instantly.
His head jerked sideways as he groaned, vision flashing white.
“W-What was that—”
He didn’t get to finish.
“GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE BEFORE I KILL YOU!”
Her voice was pure ice, sharp enough to freeze fire itself.
Aether froze. His mouth opened to explain, to say it wasn’t intentional, that she had leaned in first, that neither of them had been thinking clearly.
But one look at her eyes stopped him cold… They were exactly as her mother’s.
Cold… Deadly… Mericless!
She wasn’t in a state to listen.
So he said nothing.
He stood up immediately and left the room without hesitation.
