Little Song Bird Is Pregnant - Chapter 90 - Treasure

Chapter 90 – Treasure
Wren glanced at the feather-shaped key on his hand. "why? I don't need your treasures though," he glanced at Feng who was perched on his shoulders
.Feng squeaked and squawked a few times, shaking his wings around.
"I don't understand,"
Dully Feng peered at him with his vermilion eyes. "squeak…" he pointed his wing towards the other unopened mural.
Sighing, Wren moved closer to the mural. This too was a phoenix mural but the shape of posture of this one was different. The bird had its wings stretched wide in a majestic pose.
Upon closer inspection, he noticed a small feather-shaped dent on it.
He curiously placed the red key there.
The whole mural glowed bright red and split up just like the last one.
"it's neat. How do you do that? Is it an inscription? When you have time teach me yes," he mumbled, scratching Feng's chin.
The passageway for this inner door was much shorter. After walking for just five minutes they reached the interior of the treasure room.
Unlike the last one, this was less stocked.
An enormous amount of spiritual energy spread in this room.
Wren looked around in shock. The walls were mounted with weapons. There were different varieties. From axes to knives to daggers to swords..it was all in here.
Wren walked over to the nearby azure sword completely mesmerized by the beauty. The sword body was completely blue, made up of some unknown material and the sword hilt was wrapped in crocodile leather. There was also a small purple string tied to the hilt.
He gently touched the knot.
An immeasurable surge of spiritual energy passed through his finger tip with just a touch.
"this one is awesome!"
"It suits you well," a sudden voice startled him.
Turning back, he saw Feng standing there with his long red hair hanging over his naked chest. "Take it."
"How did you change back? I thought your spiritual energy was lacking," he tied his coat over his naked waist and hid his lover's modesty.
Feng gently kissed his cheeks. "this room has a constant spiritual flow from the weapons. I can take in some without any problem. But right after we leave here I will change back to my bird form."
He walked over to the wall and took down the sword. "it's slightly curved in the ti and sharp. It really suits your martial arts technique. By the way, I forgot to mention. You really must harness your martial arts on land. Onside water, your flow of attack was flawless but out here is slightly flawed. That is the first thing you need to correct after joining the academy,"
Wren took the sword from him.
He hovered his fingers over the tip. The invisible spiritual energy wafting out of it like a shark knife cut into his fingertip.
"What an amazing sword? Why did you store it here? you could have used it."
"Nope, it doesn't suit me. I have been using a soft sword for a very long time."
"Soft sword?"
Feng glanced at him. "You haven't once seen my weapon?"
"Didn't have the opportunity to? I have seen your weapon in your pants but not the one tied to your belt,"
Blushing Feng playfully swatted his arm. "come here," he walked over to the right wall and pointed to the coiled whip-like sword mounted there.
He picked it up and handed it to him. "this is my sword. I call it the snake edge. Its movements are fluid like a whip but at the same time, the flexible blade cuts through anything with ease. Stand back,"
Wen backed away a bit.
Feng swished the sword. The flexible rope-like sword suddenly moved like a snake and sliced into the wall.
Few weapons mounted on the damaged wall fell down complexly sliced through.
Wren looked at it in shock. "wow…."
Feng glanced back with a proud look. "Even without my spiritual energy, I can protect you well in my human form,"
"When in bird form?" he raised a brow.
Feng pouted. "When I'm in bird form I'll hide in your shirt. You have to protect my cute feathered ass,"
"Got it," smirking Wren tied the azure sword to his waist.
"Aren't you going to name your sword?"
Wren glanced at it. The connection he felt towards the sword was quite lacking. Somehow he felt like he was not the true owner of it. "I'll name it after a while…"
The azure sword slightly shook in disappointment.
"Now that we have got these, let's get going." He said, walking over to the door.
"Whoa, wait a bit. Didn't you listen to Mu Zheng? This is just the second layer." Feng grabbed his hand and pulled him in.
"There's more?! What else do we need? We have clothes food and we can pick up a few cold coins on the way out and we are set for our journey."
Feng raised a brow. "On foot?"
"Yeah, if we can keep up pour speed, maybe we can reach the location in just fourteen days. Well, have one day to integrate ourselves in Rene and maybe we can even shop,"
Feng chuckled loudly. "Oh my naive darling. If you go by foot, it will take you a year maximum to get to Rene,"
"Huh?"
Feng walked over to the empty wall at the end of the room and opened it.
It looked like a normal closet, with clothes and shoes on either side. Wren gently touched the shirt close to him. The material felt so soft that he feared he might tear it. he let go of it immediately.
"It's not delicate. In fact, that cloth is made up of spider silk. It's very precious and very hard to break. It can even withstand a sword slash." Feng picked it out off the shelf and tossed it to Wren.
Wren silently walked behind him.
"' we'll need some pants as well. Coats.. oh, my favorite minx fur coat, hey look at this. I have a matching pair." He took out the matching white and black fur coat and tossed it to Wren.
"But we have clothes,"
"They won't last that weather," Feng said, leaning down to pick the folded pants.
Wren gently pinched his ass.
"hisss…" he glanced back with a smirk. "hands to yourself when I'm working. what else do we need?"
"How is the weather in Rene?"
"Cold as heck. Your balls will turn blue of you don't cover-up. Normal clothes will just turn into stiff sheets of paper." Feng whispered tossing a few pants into his arms. "hmmm we need a space pouch. The one you have is only two hundred square foot space. I have one here that has at least a few thousand square feet space… where is it?" he opened a drawer and sorted through a ton of colorful pouches.
Seeing this Wren was more than shocked. "Feng, are we rich?"
"rick? No…yes, maybe. I don't know how much these are worth though. I just picked them out in different places whenever I get the time to travel. It cost me only a few golds to acquire these. Now the prices have increased and values of these have increased,"
"oh…" Feng nodded. "So we are rich,"
His mate had lived for more than a thousand years. He was bound to have a bountiful collection of treasure. He on the other hand only had…. the clothes he was wearing. 'gosh looks like I need to earn a lot to keep up with my mate's spending,'
Feng stood there deep in thought. "I think I'm forgetting something.. what is it…"
"Water bottle? Food?"
"Those are basics. It will be in the first level of the treasury, ah! I got it,"' he ran to the center of the room and stomped on the floor twice. The tile rose up into a small storage area.
Inside there was a small glass bottle with a miniature ship in it.
Feng gingerly took the glass bottle and held it up to Wren. "We are flying."
Wren curiously looked in.
The white crystalline ship was very detailed. It had three tiers and about fifteen windows n each side. The sails were made up of translucent fabric that was much more beautiful than a dragonfly's wings.
"How can we fly in this? It's miniature…"
"It will get big when we get it out of this bottle,"
Excitedly, Feng dragged him out.
As they walked out, the respective gates closed on their own.
After reaching the main gate they walked carefully through the path.
Just as they exited the treasury Feng shifted back to his bird form. The clothes draped around his waist fell down.
Wren picked it up and added it to the pile in his arm.
"Squeak!" Feng held the space pouch on his beak.
"All done," Mu Zheng who was waiting nearby glanced at them both. "come here. place it in the pouch. Why are you carrying things around like an idiot,"
He pushed the piles of clothes inside the space bag carelessly. "I've asked also cooked a few dishes. Store it in here. it won't get spoiled. Feed my master well. he has lost a lot of weight…" he glared at him.
Wren nodded. "I will,"
"Good, you better. Or else I will tear your throat out,"
