Lord of the Truth - Chapter 2059 The disc that will turn everything upside down

Chapter 2059 The disc that will turn everything upside down
“A new Law?!” Richard exclaimed in shock, his voice filled with disbelief, his entire body tensing as the words sank in.
“…”
Robin showed a faint, knowing smile, then looked forward again, his gaze calm and steady. “The Flame of Life was originally created for Mila,” he said quietly. “I made it to protect her from injuries, and to make her prefer staying in the rear lines instead of charging into battles against enemy leaders and commanders… What man would ever want to see his wife throw herself into danger and gamble with her life?”
Then he continued, his tone growing more serious, more deliberate, “But you’re different. It’s true that, with the help of the cursed Manifestation, you discovered a way to turn the Flame of Life into a deadly weapon, a tool of destruction rather than protection. But it’s still limited. Crude. Incomplete. You still need long preparations, ritual setups, the killing of many different beings, and the accumulation of a massive amount of negative karma…”
He paused briefly. “Negative karma you don’t need at all, since misfortune already follows you everywhere, clinging to your path like a shadow. So, since Anti-Life appeals to you, I’ll create a new merged Law for you. One that allows you to use that ability freely, and develop it at your own pace, and without drowning yourself in corruption.”
“A new Law…!!”
Richard’s eyes shone brightly, filled with excitement and awe, then suddenly calmed as doubt surfaced. “But the competence trials were bad enough,” he said cautiously, “and I already have a dual merged Law. What happens when I add a third? What kind of hell will that bring?”
“Don’t worry,” Robin waved dismissively. “It was exaggerated because of the Young Belt restrictions, because misfortune on your back is overwhelming, and because you were storing a massive amount of energy in your body before starting.”.
He then patted his son’s back firmly. “Next time you try, there will be no Young Belt restrictions at all. You will try to restrain yourself from wishing anything prior, And I strongly recommend you empty your body of life energy before starting. Strip it clean. Reset it properly. Just use whatever you have inside your energy gathering center and you’ll break through without a doubt. You’re not wea, and you’re not lacking in worth for mere test to stop you.”
“There won’t be any Young Belt restrictions?”
Richard frowned deeply. He had passed everything, and the Breaking Limits Trial had almost killed him. If it hadn’t existed, he would have become a
catastrophe to the world without question.
“Yes,” Robin nodded calmly, then stood up. “I’ll pave the way for you. I’ll deal with the obstacles. I’ll clear what needs to be cleared.”
Richard stared at his father for a long moment, studying him carefully. “With the power I’ve seen from you,” he said slowly, “and all those Master Laws you use… I don’t think the Rule-Enforcement Spirits will show you any mercy in the trial.”
“Haha, let them do whatever they want,” Robin laughed lightly. “I’m used to headbutting obstacles. Easy paths scare me. Smooth roads make me uneasy.” One last time, Robin patted Richard’s head, slow and firm, before jumping off the beast’s back. “Stay around until you receive your new technique and find someone to help you adjust your foundations properly. After that, go wherever you wish. Your path will be yours again.”
“And where are you going now?!” Richard raised his voice as he saw his father moving away.
“To the Dawn light Stellar Academy,” Robin called back loudly. “I’m going to say goodbye to my comfortable apartment there one last time. Looks like I’ll be
staying in this Sand Bath for a long time!”
Then his voice dropped, becoming something only he could hear as he walked forward, “…How many centuries did I spend there?”
Robin smiled with dreamy, distant eyes. His age now exceeded nine hundred by a little, and almost all of those years were spent in seclusion, exploring something, studying something, or searching endlessly for something unknown.
Between Jura’s cave, where he spent two and a half centuries in two separate periods; Nihari’s cave, where he spent more than a century healing Jabba; and his hotel room on Planet Zaron, where he stayed for two hundred and seventy consecutive years… his apartment at the academy held the record.
A quiet place.
Clean.
Mentally comforting.
Wide enough for him and his work without any problems or constraints.
“Hmm,” Robin murmured as he walked, “I wonder what kind of room Leonid will prepare for me this time.”
With a simple wave of his hand, a teleportation array appeared with a sharp bzzzt, opening in front of him to transport him to the other side of the planet, near the space portal.
“Hmmm,” he added softly, “it seems my standards have risen after staying there for so long.”
Hooom
“Huh?”
Just before taking a step into the gate, Robin suddenly noticed a square-shaped portal opening not far from him, its edges glowing with strange light. From within it, the Cosmic Elder emerged calmly, as if stepping out of an ordinary doorway rather than a dimensional rift.
Robin lifted his hand and waved, raising his voice with casual familiarity. “Yoo~”
Then he added with a grin, “So, you’re already prepared to cross?”
More than an hour earlier, the Cosmic Elder had left, saying he would prepare for departure and begin exploring beyond the barrier.
Robin had assumed that kind of preparation would take years, maybe even decades, but clearly, that wasn’t the case at all…
The Cosmic Elder was wearing completely new clothes. His beard and thin hair
were neatly braided in an orderly, almost ceremonial style, and he carried a bag embroidered with flowers and butterflies, a strangely gentle contrast to the
brutal world around them.
“Little Robin.”
The Cosmic Elder turned toward him slowly. “Am I late?”
“Heh? No, you’re not late.” Robin laughed lightly.
It was obvious that the old man’s passion hadn’t died, no matter how much he tried to pretend otherwise. The fire was still there, burning quietly beneath the
surface.
“Good that you’re still here,” the Cosmic Elder said, stepping a little away from the yellow gate. Then he raised his hand and pointed toward Robin.
“This is your godfather. Move out!”
“What?”
Robin’s expression froze, then twisted into pure shock.
“Godfather Robin?”
A young girl’s voice came from beyond the barrier, soft and hesitant. A girl who
looked about fourteen stepped out slowly.
After her, a whole herd of boys and girls of similar age followed, pouring out one after another. They looked around at Robin like lambs leaving a barn for the first time, wide-eyed, curious, cautious, and overwhelmed. They began moving toward him slowly and randomly, unorganized and hesitant, while the sights of monster corpses and ruined terrain seemed disturbingly normal to them, as if this world was all they had ever known.
“…A hundred this time?”
Robin tilted his head to the side, barely lifting his eyes from the children before
turning them toward the old man in disbelief.
“Weren’t you joking about founding your own tribe?!”
“Nope.”
The Cosmic Elder replied curtly, without the slightest hint of humor.
Then he reached into his bag, took out a small disc shaped like a coin, and
tossed it toward Robin.
“Hm?”
Robin caught it easily. “A light disc?”
“Robin,” the Cosmic Elder said calmly, but with unmistakable seriousness in his
voice, “think very carefully before using that disc. Think about the consequences. Think about the chains it will place on you. Think about the
enemies you will make for yourself.”
“….
Robin stared at the disc for several long moments, turning it slightly between
his fingers, studying its surface and feeling its energy. Then he slipped it into
his ring and lifted his head a little.
“I’ll take your advice into consideration.”
“Heh~”
The Cosmic Elder laughed. “No, you won’t, you arrogant bastard.”
Then he slowly began rising off the ground and moving toward the passage.
“Do whatever you want. Walk whatever path you choose. But remember: dragging my name into your affairs doesn’t mean I’ll fight your battles for you.”
“Don’t disappear for too long.”
Robin waved to the Cosmic Elder as he moved away, clearly having no intention of continuing that conversation any further.
He kept watching until Holak shoved his way in like a curious cat and entered,
pushing through the opening. Then Holak returned and stuck his head into the gap, watching the battle happening on the other side with open curiosity.
“Godfather…”
“Godfather!”
“Where are our brothers?”
“…..?”
Robin glanced to the side from the corner of his eye. A hundred boys and girls
were all staring at his face with excitement, awe, and wide smiles. Their expressions were full of hope and curiosity, and it was obvious that thousands of questions were swirling in their minds, fighting to come out all at once.
He took a breath, then shouted loudly, “Leonid, I need some help here!!”
