Chapter 1970: Ice Age

“What is this method?”

“Ice Age”

Katarina sighed. The snow is falling, the water is dissipating, the forest turns into a white wasteland

Each snow is like a sword, the cold added to the sharpness

There is silence in this forest, and only the wind becomes noise. There was a flood before but even that flood is frozen.

An Ice Age. This is Katarina strongest Ice method. When she uses it, she could turn an entire continent into ice.

A true Ice Age.

In any lower realm world, her Ice could encase an entire planet.

Earth, however, is too big and full of chaotic magical energy that any attempt to freeze the entire world would have her being struck by the Heavenly Will

But in any other world, this method of freezing could encase the entire world in ice. And not only would it freeze the physical state of a being, but it also freezes laws and rules

Time and space, dimensions and intangible concepts could be frozen.

This method that Katarina had developed had reached the state of rules and laws of the Omniverse

It is a high-level method.

A powerful method in the eyes of the common warriors are the ones that explode things the most, inflict great damage to the surroundings and the enemy

When the Fall started to happen, and people were just discovering the power that they could exert, explosive power was preferred.

It is only later when more powerful beings emerge from the chaos, that people know those who controls rules and laws of the world, would be like true god.

But for beings like Katrina and the powerhouse of the world, the real method is on laws and rules

Hence, when these powerhouses battle each other, common warriors could not understand it. It might even seem boring.

Death Monarch for example when he is fighting low level realm warrior, he did not even need to lift his finger. A word is enough to destroy people

When he told you to kneel, the entire rules and laws of the world would force you to kneel

It would be like mountains stacked upon mountain bearing down on you to follow the rules and laws.

When he told you to die, then all the laws and rules would conspire to make you die. Words spoken by such beings, would then be more than just words.

At times, it could be a blessing. Other times it could be a curse. A Word to change the world!

How is that any different than a godlike being?

When laws and rules of the world could be used, the common method would not work against such being

And this technique could be used to preserve things, or it could be used to destroy things.

The flood in the ice is still there.

If Katarina wanted to, she could melt all of these ice and the flood would still be there.

Or she could make the water of the flood into ice and when she melt it all away, the flood would disappear with it leaving the leftover forest intact.

Even the animals that are encased in the ice are still alive. This is Katarina growth. The last time she did such a method, she did it for Azief

And at that time, she had to burn her life force. Now, she didn’t need to do such a thing.

Any other person who would dare do what she did, dares to delay her would have died.

But she just couldn’t do it.

She could kill many people.

But she couldn’t kill her.

Because there is already emotional attachment.

Katarina could be considered cold by many.

And she really is.

For people who she have no emotional attachment to, her methods are quite ruthless.

Yet, when it is people who she has emotional attachment to, she could ignore their flaws and would do her utmost to protect them

That is how she is with her brother and that is how she is with Azief. And that is the same way she is with Rosulka.

This problem could have been solved if she just moved the sword tip just a few inches forward.

But she only sighed, and swiped away the sword back into the sheath

“That hand of yours is sealed. In a few days, the flesh below the elbow could be reconstructed back. I hope you stop, Rosulka”

She paused for a moment

“He is already dead. You had your vengeance. The world is not at fault. You do not have to follow the footsteps of your father” she said and for a moment and then she sighed.

She wonders if her words could even move that child heart

And she shakes her head. For people who have bene too long into the darkness, light would be seen as aberration.

She knew only how to survive. And there are anger and hatred. Was the world really not at fault?

She herself is not sure. A society that does not care about its people, how could it expect its people to become people?

You are only raising beast. And when this beast is unleashed, you could not really complain that beast acted like beast.

All of her sufferings, and all of her anger, are transferred to the world. The place where she grows up was hell. But not everywhere was hell

But how do you expect someone like her not to have warped mind? Any other people who have such a warped mind would have already been slaughtered by Katarina if they dared do what she had done

But Katarina also has a flaw.

This flaw only intensified the stronger she became

To those who she has a connection with, she could not let go. Katarina did not know. Azief did not know. Sofia doesn’t know

But Loki, Yewa Hafar, Erika knows.

This woman obsession runs deep.

The stronger she became, the stronger her emotions. What she could not forgive in others, she could forgive for those she loved and care.
