Chapter 1971: Why?

Everyone knows that Death Monarch leave a clone to Sasha.

That is something that is now common knowledge to the people of the world now

But what they didn’t know however, was what did Death Monarch do in those years?

Some said he went to seclusion trying to learn methods of power

Some said he went out of the solar system trying to find a way to breakthrough

Some said he is meditating. There are many theories of what he had done during all of those years.

But….no one knows for sure.

What if…what if Death Monarch is injured right now?

Maybe in those years he did something and got injured? Maybe a backlash. Or an attack by an old enemy or just bad luck while travelling in the universe?

And that is why he did not return home.

Not because he didn’t want to return home. But because he can’t

And so, he stays in Arturia and sends his orders there. If this is true, then some people would be eager to make a move.

This is an opportunity for many people.

If this is true, then this might be Death Monarch weakest time in years.

So, how could people not make any schemes?

The people are not stupid.

They could sense something wrong. Whether the news is true or wrong, both possibilities mean there is something to be exploited. If it’s false, there is not much that could be exploited.

But if it’s true…. Then there is a lot that could be done

She could not help but be worried.

The clouds parted, the sound exploded, the world distorted, a sword light pierced through the lines between dimensions, a white sword bringing about the cold

A woman of unparallel beauty, bringing winter with her, flying high up above the clouds, and wherever she passes, she brings with her, the coldness of winter.

Katarina the Ice Queen is flying through the clouds, and she is trying to determine her direction.

The world is vast and flying even with her speed already reaching supersonic speed is not enough

Not to mention even with her speed there is friction.

Not with air, but energy.

She uses magical energy to fly. Ignoring certain physics and other worldly laws.

But the price is none other than being hindered by magical energy

Though, that would not stop her that much. The real obstacle is the direction. The current world is hard to navigate even with maps.

“Wait for me” Katarina mutters in her heart.

Unlike other people, she did not doubt the news that Arthur had brought.

Because the oracle had told her. And Erika will not lie to her. It is not because she trusted Erika character. It is just that she knows Erika could not lie.

There is a price when an Oracle lies about what she saw

Of course, those who dare to listen to her words also need to pay a price. Katarina had never liked Erika.

This is one thing she has in common with Azief.

They both dislike Erika.

Not her as a person but her ability.

This time, Katarina was prepared to pay the price when she asked Erika the question. But Erika said she did not have to pay. Because someone else had paid it

Arthur relay that Death Monarch is in Arturia. She got the news from her Snow Maidens in Moskovia Novaya

The new capital of the Republic is in the center of what used to be Europe.

When the news arrived, she knew that the news was true.

And she was ready to set off.

She wanted to know, did everything go as planned. She only knew that Azief would do something dangerous.

Well, he rarely does something safe after all. Even if he did not know the full story, something that makes him come out from his seclusion must be something important.

After all, it is something he had divined the moment he begins learning the methods of Etherna

So, she was anxious. But just before she could go, Erika told her something lese and this made her even more anxious.

And in her anxiousness, she was ambushed by Rosulka.

She could only sigh at this matter.

Unlike other people in the world, she knows some of Azief plans for Pandemonium. Because of that when Erika told her that Azief is now in bad condition, she must be beside him right now

The moment the world knows that he is not in his best condition….then some old forces that has been hiding might be coming out.

And if the momentum is strong enough, then even the world powers might come out to fan the flames.

The Republic and her do not always agree on things and there is a high chance that if the Republic could see there are advantages, while they might not attack Pandemonium and Azief, they surely would not mind fanning the flames

“And my brother never liked Azief”

Of course, right now Boris did not hold power.

He has been resting in her villa and for now, the position of the right chancellor is suspended

Erika knows this. And she told her to go to Azief and tell him that the Oracle has a way to heal him.

Katarina does not know what Erika means and how she knows all of this but considering that she is the oracle it might be her ability of seeing the future that allows her to know all of this thing

But if only this was the case, Katarina would not be this anxious. It is because Erika told her that some people would surely have trouble when they hear about this.

Rosulka…. Suddenly coming to block her just at this time?

Katarina would not believe there wasn’t anyone pulling the string. She is no longer a naive woman holding the reins of power

She knows people have intrigues and schemes and she could spot them. She might not be as savvy as her brother, but you pick up a thing or two when you are the High Chancellor of one of the Three Great Powers in the world.

Even though she did not leave Earth and everyone knows she is on Earth that did not mean ordinary person knows where she is.

Even when coming to Erika, she disguises herself and chooses different routes.

And in this world, it is even harder to track someone unless you are a tracker. And even then, Katarina has done all the methods to fool any trackers.

But Rosulka, who did not even have any of these sets of abilities, suddenly could track her down and block her way.

Katarina doubts Rosulka knows what Katarina is about to do or why she is anxious, but Rosulka somehow knew she was going to be there?

When Katarina looked back at what had happened before, it was like Rosulka was waiting for her in that area.

“I need to be faster”

With all this concerning thoughts Katarina speed become faster and it would not be long before she reaches Arturia

Arturia, the jewel of the sea.

That is the title Arturia had been given once it’s allied with Pandemonium.

Not other regions, or other world powers that get this title but Arturia.

This island continent that gets its name from its leader, is called the jewel of the sea is not an empty title

Since its incorporation into pandemonium structure of power, it has developed many things. City states rose all over the entire island continents all paying homage to King Arthur of Arturia.

The many regions in the world are now like the time of feudalism where there is great nobles holding powers.

But the common people in this world are not like the common people during the time of Arturia nor is the lords and kings are like the lords and kings of the time of feudalism

The structure seems the same but the relationship between the rulers and the people is different.

As much as the people rely on the ruler to keep them safe from external invasion and internal division, the ruler relies on the people to fight for him

It is like those stories of ancient noble kings and the people in symbiosis with each other.

People need a ruler to make sure the order is not chaotic, the ruler needs the people so that it could protect the kingdom.

The king of this world in a way are elected by the people.

They have a cooperative relationship.

And if there is a rift, that kingdom would not last long

And Arthur embodies this more than the others. Maybe because his name itself is Arthur, he has the Round Table Conference where he would call al of the lords every three years to formulate policies and hear out grievances.

There is development all over the island continent, beautiful structures built, people living in peace, and there is prosperity all around.

All natural resources are used appropriately, the people are at peace and the kingdom is prosperous.

With a king like this and a rising kingdom in one of the most dangerous routes of the sea, this is how Arturia is known as the jewel of the sea.
