MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith - Chapter 1664 1664: Meeting Lunarossa Again

“…We’re here.”
After sending a message to Lunarossa that they were on their way to the Meltierre Imperial Estate, the two promptly met up at the entrance of the Blacksmith Guild before heading to their destination.
Staring at the massive yet ornate gate in front of them for a bit, Valyr could not help but let out a faint sigh in wonder, inwardly wondering to himself how much a gate like that would have cost to create.
‘It’s gotta cost at least a couple hundred mana crystals,’ said his other self to him through their connection, indirectly telling him that he was also curious towards the matter.
‘Probably… but I wouldn’t be surprised if it costs mid-grade crystals.’ The young man pondered Ataraxia’s words for a bit before nodding, staring at the gate for a bit more before shifting his sights towards the estate the gate and its surrounding walls guarded.
Seeing that most, if not the entire estate was covered in all sorts of statues and decor, the two briefly looked at each other, only to then let out a sigh as they returned their sights to what was in front of them once more.
‘Imagine spending that much money just on decor,’ murmured Valyr through the connection, prompting his other self to bitterly smile in return. ‘Not gonna lie, the more I look at it, the more I’m starting to doubt that I’m earning a lot of money through my deal.’
Letting out a faint sigh after that, the young man profusely shook his head as he set his current train of thought aside. ‘Anyways, send me the knowledge you gained on making personal skills later. I think it’s time for me to do some last-minute preparation.’
‘Sure.’ Ataraxia nodded in response, showing no hesitation in sending all of the things he learned from Aeramis during the inheritance, as well as the insights and experiences he’d accumulated while creating his own personal skill.
Deciding to be the one among them to send Lunarossa a message that they’ve arrived, the young man mulled over Valyr’s words for a bit, only to then realize what he meant by it. ‘…Are you saying we’re ascending to Rank 5 soon?’
The latter nodded at the question before looking at his other self with a slightly raised eyebrow. ‘Is there anything stopping you from doing the ascension?’
‘Nope.’ Ataraxia shook his head. ‘Just a bit surprised by the sudden decision.’
‘But then again, with how long it’s been since you’ve ascended to Rank 4, I suppose the ascension was bound to come sooner or later.’
Valyr faintly smiled at those words, sharing some of the plans he had in mind with his other self before undergoing ascension. ‘How long do you think it’d take me to do all of that?’
‘At least half a year,’ replied Ataraxia after giving it a bit of thought. ‘However, once you’re done with all of that, I’d say your foundation would become far more solid than mine currently is.’
‘…You know what? Since you’re gonna go through all that, I’ll do some last-minute preparations as well.’
‘You’re always free to join.’ Valyr let out a chuckle in response. ‘After all, things will go a lot faster if we use [Perception of the Grand Origin] at the same time.’
Creak…
Just as Ataraxia nodded in agreement with what his other self said to him, the gate in front of them began to open all of a sudden, revealing a person they had last seen over nine months ago back at Algerie Kingdom.
“We greet the Imperial Duchess.” Reminding themselves that they were talking to someone of higher nobility, both Valyr and Ataraxia showed no hesitation in their greeting, kneeling down as they showed the utmost respect.
“No need for the pleasantries,” said Lunarossa in response, waving her hands as she let out a slight chuckle. “As part of the Meltierre Imperial Guards, as well as Imperial Barons of the Empire, you shan’t need to show such courtesy next time.”
“Even more so after the massive favor the two of you have done for me,” she continued, giving the two a genuine smile.
Standing in response to those words, both Valyr and Ataraxia looked back at her with faint smiles on their faces, only to then nod in understanding.
“Follow me.” Nodding at the two in return, Lunarossa soon turned to head deeper into the estate, leaving the two with no choice but to follow behind her.
“Let’s head somewhere more private.”
…
Briefly glancing at the small pavilion they were currently in, the two could not help but look around their surroundings with their mouths slightly agape.
After all, what greeted them at the entrance of the estate was a vast clearing that showed the opulent manor those part of the Meltierre Imperial Clan resided in.
Yet, the three of them were currently surrounded by trees, greenery, and foliage, which gave the pavilion a simple yet calming vibe.
“First and foremost, I’m quite glad to see the two of you again.” Seeing that the two were finally done looking around, Lunarossa started off the conversation with a brief greeting.
“It’s been nine months or so since the tournament ended,” she said, a faint smile adorning her face. “Mind indulging me a bit in what the two of you have been up to theses past few months?”
“I’m quite curious, especially since I could sense that the two of you have made massive strides in your strength.”
“Of course,” replied Valyr with a slight smile after receiving a nod of confirmation from his other self.
And with that, the young man went ahead and did a brief narration of the things they’ve done during the past nine months, such as Ataraxia heading to the inheritance, or his establishment of a brand new town.
Naturally, considering the closeness of their relationship, Valyr omitted a great portion of the details that were part of their experiences in the past nine months.
Nevertheless, the information he shared with Lunarossa was more than enough for her to look at them with her mouth slightly agape.
“…I’ve got to say I wasn’t expecting that,” said the woman to the two as she let out a bit of laughter. “In comparison, the things I’ve been doing these past nine months seem utterly mundane.”
“We would still like to apologize for not informing you of our whereabouts these past few months,” said Valyr in response to her words, to which Ataraxia nodded in agreement.
“As I’ve said in my message, it’s fine.” In response, Lunarossa gave them a reassuring smile. “Plus, there really wasn’t a reason for me to contact the two of you to come here back then.”
“Speaking of reasons, I asked you two to come here earlier, right?”
The two nodded at the question, their expressions slightly curious.
“Does this involve what you couldn’t say to us back in the tournament?” asked Valyr in response, with Ataraxia continuing to give her a curious look.
“That it does.” Lunarossa nodded in affirmation, her expression becoming somber.
“Though it would have been fine to discuss about it in front of Julian and the others, Erika’s affiliation with the Crimson Cathedral made me decide that I was better off talking about it at a later time.”
“That’s because what I wanted to tell you two back at the tournament was to see if you two wanted to be a part of a special mission.”
“A special mission?” asked Ataraxia, tilting his head in slight confusion. “What kind of mission is it, if you don’t mind me asking?”
“An infiltration mission,” replied Lunarossa, her gaze becoming solemn.
“Specifically, a mission to infiltrate the territories of the two other races.”
