MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith - Chapter 1666 1666: Fostering Loyalty

“…I know I’ve repeated this a few times already, but it really is nice to see you two again.”
Once their conversation regarding the special mission was done, the three made their way out of the estate, with Lunarossa standing by the gate as she looked at Valyr and Ataraxia.
“Though the two of you have already given me confirmation that you’ll be taking part in the mission, I’ll still remind you two about it either during or after the Nine Heavenly Pillars Tournament is done,” she said to them.
“If ever the two of you change your minds at that time, then I won’t hold it against you.”
“Considering the rewards that we’d be obtaining if we were to complete the mission, the chances of us changing our minds are pretty low,” said Valyr in response, letting out a slight chuckle after that.
Though the two of them knew that it was obvious that they’d receive rewards from the empire after risking their lives to that degree, it was still better to obtain confirmation from the person that was giving them the mission in the first place.
…As well as the specific list of rewards they would obtain if they were to complete it.
“I suppose the next time I’ll see you two would be before the tournament, then.” Briefly recalling the conversation the three of them had regarding the rewards attached to the mission, Lunarossa inwardly let out a faint sigh before changing the topic of their conversation.
Whoosh!
Taking out a couple of ornate-looking badges out of her spatial storage, she then gave these badges to both Valyr and Ataraxia, who immediately took note of the fact that their names were engraved on said badges.
“Although hindsight has made me realize that my invitation to you two into the Meltierre Imperial Guards feel insincere, I still appreciate the fact that the two accepted my offer,” she said with a smile.
“These badges I’ve given you are usually given to a guard after they’ve gone through their induction ceremony.”
“However, I get the feeling that the two of you aren’t really keen on ceremonies and all that, so I’ve taken it upon myself to give the badges to you directly.” The smile on Lunarossa’s face widened at those words.
“Of course, if it hadn’t already crossed your mind, these badges are proof of your affiliation with the Meltierre Imperial Guards.”
As these words left her mouth mouth, the two took another look at their badges, noticing the various motifs throughout the badge that were connected to the Meltierre Empire.
“In terms of their usage, they’re pretty much the same as the identification badges you obtain from your class guilds,” she told them, only to let out a chuckle soon after. “However, I’m quite confident that the badges I’ve given you are far more useful.”
“Anyways, I won’t have you stay here any further.” Seeing that the two kept their badges into their respective spatial storages, Lunarossa nodded in satisfaction as she bade farewell at the two.
“The two of you are free to contact me at any time, whether it be related to the Meltierre Imperial Guards, or if you need my assistance in specific matters,” she said, prompting the two to nod in response.
“Also, if you don’t mind me asking, where do the two of you plan to head after this?”
“Algerie Kingdom.” Still feeling a bit guilty about not informing her of their whereabouts the past nine months, Valyr took the initiative to tell her of where they were heading. “We were planning to claim the rewards we’ve yet to obtain from the tournament.”
“Is that so?” Lunarossa looked at them with curiosity. “What have you two obtained from the tournament so far?”
“The plots of land, as well as the rewards related to my affiliation,” replied the young man as his other self faintly nodded in agreement.
“So, that means you two haven’t entered the Algerie Imperial Treasury yet.” The woman faintly nodded in understanding, the gears in her head turning. “Nor have you two entered the Ocean of Crystallized Truths, I presume.”
“Nope.” The two shook their heads.
“I see.” Going silent for a bit, Lunarossa eventually looked at the two with a slightly mischievous smile as she told them, “Though I was the director of the tournament, I have no way of improving the rewards you shall obtain from the treasury.”
“However… I can definitely extend your stay in the Ocean of Crystallized Truths.”
Faintly wondering why she was asking about their rewards from the tournament all of a sudden, the two looked at her with joyful shock once they heard the words that left her mouth.
Seeing the expressions the two of them were giving her, Lunarossa let out a chuckle as she nodded at them in confirmation.
“If I remember correctly, the longest duration one of you could stay at the ocean is two months, right?”
“Now… what if I allowed the two of you to stay there for three months?”
…
“…And here I was thinking you’d be doing the same thing I did for you back when you were still at the inheritance,” said Valyr with a bit of laughter as they made their way back to the Blacksmith Guild.
“Honestly, I was already prepared to do that,” replied Ataraxia, a faint smile creeping up onto the edge of his lips. “But of course, having the two of us stay at the ocean for the same duration is far better.”
“Totally.” The young man profusely nodded in agreement. “Imagine how much our concepts would improve, especially with us using [Perception of the Grand Origin] at the same time.”
“Speaking of concepts, do you have an idea which concepts you’d be focusing on while we’re there?” asked Ataraxia in return, to which Valyr nodded with confidence.
“I already have an idea of which ones to focus on at the start, as well as the ones I’ll leave for the end. You?”
“…I’ll probably do what you did for me back then this time around,” replied Ataraxia after giving the question a bit of thought. “If I do end up focusing on a concept though, then it’d be probably be the Intents I got back at the inheritance.”
“Well, whatever you end up doing while we’re at the ocean, this is our final push to improve our strengths before ascension.” Valyr grinned in response.
“Let’s see how much we can improve ourselves before we can’t improve any further.”
