MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith - Chapter 1667 1667: Entering the Ocean

Whoosh!
Soaring through the skies on their respective movement skills, the two had calm expressions on their faces as they kept an eye on a certain structure within their field of vision.
“You know… we could have probably asked Lunarossa about the ocean’s location before heading to the kingdom.”
As these words left his mouth, Valyr briefly looked back at his other self, feeling a hint of envy at how the latter was easily keeping up with him.
“We didn’t know any better.” Ataraxia wryly smiled in response. “Who knew one of the rewards we’d obtain from participating in a kingdom’s tournament… would actually be situated far away from it?”
Listening to his other self respond back to him, the young man had a wry smile of his own as he briefly thought back to the time he made a journey to Algerie Kingdom’s Akashic Fields.
Though that visit reminded him that the signs of war between the three races were already apparent long before it even began, it also made him wonder if the kingdom had other important places like the ocean that were situated beyond its walls.
“In any case, I’m glad Julian and Noel know where it’s located,” said Ataraxia the moment Valyr was done with his train of thought, prompting the latter to faintly nod in agreement.
“…But then again, we could have contacted other people regarding its whereabouts if the two had no clue about it.”
Hearing those words, the young man nodded in agreement once more, only to then shift his focus back to the world around them.
Swoosh!
Continuing to fly in a certain direction away from Algerie Kingdom’s walls, both Valyr and Ataraxia eventually came to a stop after seeing a mountain that was clearly out of place appear within their field of vision.
“From what they told us, the Ocean of Crystallized Truths is located at the base of a mountain within the center of a large forest,” murmured Ataraxia as he assessed the surroundings around the out-of-place mountain.
“…Yep. Checks out.”
“…Let’s go, then.”
Double checking to see if there were any other mountains nearby that were as out of place as the one before them, the two soon continued to move in the mountain’s direction after confirming that there were none.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
By the time the two were only a few hundred meters away from their intended location, the two went ahead and deactivated their movement skills, only to then activate their own abilities to cushion their fall.
Thud. Thud.
Briefly taking note of where they landed, Valyr and Ataraxia looked at each other for a bit and nodded before proceeding to head towards the solitary mountain.
“…Woah.”
Though the two were moving towards the mountain at a somewhat leisurely pace, it only took them a few minutes of brisk walking to arrive at the mountain’s base, allowing the two of them to be greeted by the sight of what looked like an entrance to a dungeon lair.
“Halt!” Just as the two were about to make their way towards the entrance, one of the men standing guard by the side took notice of them and had them stop where they stood.
“State your identities and your purpose in visiting this place.” Making his way to where they were, the guard then flared a bit of his aura before looking at the two with a solemn expression.
Unperturbed by the slight intimidation the guard was giving them, Valyr and Ataraxia looked at each other for a bit before they went ahead and brought out the badges Lunarossa gave them a couple of hours earlier.
“I am Ylvar, and beside me is Ataraxia,” said Valyr, his tone calm yet confident. “We’ve come here to redeem our opportunity at the Ocean of Crystallized Truths as the top 128 winners of the Myriad Prodigies Tournament.”
“Myriad Prodigies Tournament…?” Though slightly taken aback by the mention of the tournament that had finished over nine months ago, the guard still acted according to protocol, briefly noting down the badges the two showed him before heading back to the base of the mountain.
“I apologize for my earlier behavior.” Around 10 minutes later, the guard returned before them once more.
However, this time, the man looked at the two of them with respect.
“Sir Ylvar and Sir Ataraxia, correct?”
The two nodded in response to the question.
“I’ve just confirmed that you two are indeed part of the top 128 winners of the Myriad Prodigies Tournament, and that you two have yet to redeem your opportunity within the Ocean of Crystallized Truths.”
“Also, I’ve been notified that the two of you are affiliated with the Meltierre Imperial Guards,” the guard continued as he looked at them with even greater respect. “With that, the maximum time you’ve been permitted to stay within the ocean has been extended to three months for both of you.”
“Would you like me to lead the two of you into the ocean?”
“Apologies for the trouble.” To no surprise, the two obliged at the favor the guard was giving them, prompting the latter to smile as he went ahead and led the two into the base of the mountain.
Whoosh!
Surprisingly, at the very instant they entered through the dungeon-like entrance, both Valyr and Ataraxia felt as if their connection with the world had been strengthened by at least tenfold, giving them the feeling that even a bit of contemplation would cause them to grasp a new concept.
Faintly smiling at the slightly dumbfounded looks the two had the moment they entered the place, the guard returned his attention back to the path they needed to take, having to go through a number of winding twists and turns before ending up at their final destination.
“Here we are,” said the guard, a hint of admiration in his tone. “The Ocean of Crystallized Truths.”
Hearing those words leave the guard’s mouth, the two immediately shifted their attention away from their senses, only to then be greeted by a sight that could only be described as otherworldly.
Whoosh!
Though what appeared before them was a vast body of water, an iridescent sheen covered its entire surface, a result of the rays from the light crystals on the ceiling colliding with the water as calm yet constant waves ebbed and flowed.
Taking a brief glance at this iridescent sheen, both Valyr and Ataraxia soon felt new ideas regarding their comprehended concepts pop up in their minds, which prompted them to let out sighs of wonder in response.
Though, rather than continue focusing their attention on the ocean’s iridescent sheen, the two instead shifted their attention towards the guard that led them, taking note of the slightly amused smile that appeared on the latter’s face.
