Chapter 1706: A Meeting Between Universes (3)
“I see now.”
Going over Mimir’s explanation in her head for a bit, Eve briefly glanced at both Adam and Azazel, who looked back at her before nodding at her in understanding.
Nodding at the two in return, she shifted her gaze back to Mimir as she said, “Though the names are different, the realms of existence in your universe are the same as ours.”
“In here, we call those at the Immortal level as Myth-level beings, those at the Celestial level as Divine-level beings, and those at the Celestial Ancestor level as Primordial-level beings.”
“Beings at those realms of existence in our universe also has similar abilities to the ones in your universe, actually,” she continued, causing a faint smile to appear on the old man’s face.
“However…” As these words left Eve’s mouth, the old man’s expression briefly froze. “Even though the realms of existence in both our universes are similar, there’s one realm where the abilities in both our universes differ.”
Hearing those words, Mimir glanced at his companion for a bit before looking back at her with curiosity. “What realm of existence would that be?”
“The highest realm,” she replied, only to shift her gaze towards Adam and Azazel beside her after that.
“You know what I’m getting at, right?”
“The comprehension,” replied Adam as both he and Azazel nodded in agreement. “Though those at the Primordial level on our side are capable of creating their own universes, their comprehension of concepts is definitely lacking compared to theirs.”
“…Eh?” Mimir’s eyes widened in surprise after hearing that. “Correct me if I’m mistaken, but did you just say that your Celestial Ancestors are capable of creating universes… without needing a corresponding level of comprehension?”
“They still need an insane level of comprehension regarding the secrets of the universe,” clarified Adam. “However, compared to those on your side, the Primordials here don’t need to comprehend a concept to a level where it needs to rival the universe.”
“If a Primordial does end up comprehending such a concept, then our universe doesn’t call them Primordials anymore,” he continued. “Instead, they’re called…”
“Adam.”
Not expecting Eve to call out his name all of a sudden, the man immediately stopped where his explanation left off.
Though, as he briefly went over the words that left his mouth just earlier, he soon realized why she called for him out of nowhere, shooting her a look of gratitude in response.
Although he was still curious as to what kind of classification their side gave beings that had comprehended concepts rivaling entire universes, Mimir already understood from Eve’s actions that it wasn’t something that should be spoken that easily.
Especially in a meeting between two universes for the first time.
“I suppose now’s a good opportunity to properly introduce ourselves.” Wanting to diffuse the awkwardness that arose just now, the old man took it upon himself to shift the topic of their conversation to something else.
Shooting his companion a knowing look, Mimir soon returned his attention towards the three before him with a slight smile. “As I’ve mentioned before, my name is Mimir.”
“I’m a peak Celestial-level being from the Asgard Sector of the Realm of Myths,” he continued. “In our universe, I’m known as a God of Wisdom and Knowledge.”
Though Adam and the others noticed that there was something slightly off in the old man’s introduction, the three faintly nodded in understanding as they shifted their gaze towards the other old man that came along with Mimir.
Unlike the latter, whose appearance more or less matched that of an actual old man, the only signs the former showed that he was an old man was the sparse head of gray hair he had, as well as the crow’s feet that surrounded his eyes.
Wearing what looked to be a more opulent version of a formal suit, the old man swept his gaze among the trio with his golden eyes before giving them a slight nod.
“I do apologize for not saying anything ever since we’ve arrived through the gate,” said the old man, giving the trio a slight bow after that.
“Though I should’ve originally been the one to give you a better idea of the workings of our universe, I thought that it would be better for Mimir to do so, given his expertise in that area.”
“Wait…” Listening to the old man’s words, Eve glanced at Azazel for a bit, only to then notice the faint smile tracing the latter’s lips.
Understanding that her thoughts weren’t unfounded, she soon returned her attention back to the old man, asking him, “Are you… the representative we were originally going to meet alone?”
“That would indeed be me.” The old man nodded, giving the trio another bow before proceeding to introduce himself.
“Though I’m sure you’ve already heard my name from Sir Azazel once or twice, it wouldn’t be proper for me to rely on that after Mimir had gone out of his way to introduce himself.”
Taking a couple of steps forward, the old man looked at the trio with a faint yet confident smile. “My name is Odin.”
“Just like Mimir, I hail from the Asgard Sector of the Realm of Myths,” he continued. “However, unlike Mimir, I’m a Celestial Ancestor-level being.”
Whoosh!
Just as those words left his mouth, Odin went ahead and released his aura in its entirety, prompting both Adam and Eve’s expressions to turn solemn the moment they felt it.
Enduring the inherent majesty they felt from the old man’s aura by releasing a bit of their own in response, the three eventually restrained their respective auras, giving everyone a better idea of the strength each side had.
Looking at Adam and Eve with newfound respect, the old man continued where he left off. “Though the strength I wield is enough to put me in the top echelon of our universe, I am nowhere near the pinnacle of that strength.”
“However, because I’ve been recognized as a Celestial Ancestor, I’ve been given a unique epithet by our universe.”
“That epithet… is the Allfather.”
