Chapter 422: Killing the fire dragon prince
After making his plans, Ethan sat down in the time field.
It was time to start his most important task.
He was going to create his first Omega Clone.
He knew this was a huge risk.
To make this clone, Ethan had to take one of his emotions and pull it out of his soul.
He was worried about what would happen next.
If he had no feelings in the end, would he still be the same person?
Would he lose his humanity?
He was afraid he might become a monster, but his gut told him this was the only way to reach his goal.
“Yumiko,” Ethan said to his AI assistant.
“If I lose my mind because I have no emotions, I need you to act.”
“Help my other clones stop me.”
“I am making seven of them for a reason.”
“As long as one of them stays alive, I won’t truly die.”
“If things go wrong, do not wait.”
“Just stop me.”
Yumiko’s voice was calm and kind.
[I will do whatever you ask, Master! But I have full trust in you.]
[I don’t think you will lose your mind.]
[Even without feelings, you will still be the same Ethan.]
[You are stronger than you think.]
Ethan felt a little better.
He gave a small smile.
“Thank you for trusting me,” he whispered.
Then, he began.
He reached deep inside his own spirit.
He had to cut the emotion away from his very existence.
Once it was out, he would use them to build the clone.
It was like being a sculptor.
But he wasn’t using clay or stone.
He was using blood, flesh, and soul.
He had to be very gentle.
One wrong move could ruin everything.
He knew this would take a long time.
Creating a perfect life from nothing was hard work.
But Ethan wasn’t worried about time.
He had as much time as he needed.
This was his first real step toward becoming a god.
While Ethan was working on his clone, the world outside was full of anger.
At the grand banquet, Trian Valentine was watching everything with eyes full of hate.
Trian was a prince of the Fire Dragon race.
He was used to being the most important person in the room.
But tonight, everyone was looking at Ethan.
Most importantly, Rose was looking at Ethan.
Trian had wanted Rose for a long time.
Usually, Rose was cold to everyone, so Trian didn’t feel jealous.
But now, she was smiling and being kind to this new man.
Trian couldn’t take it anymore.
His mind snapped.
“You slut!” Trian screamed, pointing at Rose.
“How dare you flirt with other men?”
“You belong to me!”
“If I can’t have you, nobody will!”
He started laughing like a crazy person.
He began to say terrible things.
He promised to hurt Rose and her sister.
He wanted to steal their power and keep them as toys forever.
He thought he was untouchable because he was a prince.
“I am Trian Valentine!” he yelled.
“No one can stop me if I want something!”
He was jealous and humiliated.
Ethan was more handsome than him.
Ethan was richer.
In just one night, Ethan had become more famous than him.
But what hurt the most was that Rose actually liked Ethan.
Trian turned to his bodyguard, an older man named Ren.
Ren was an Eternal Sovereign, a being with massive power.
“Uncle Ren!” Trian barked.
“Kill that bastard Ethan right now!”
“Take all the women from Rose’s family.”
“They are going to serve me tonight!”
Trian didn’t even get to finish his sentence.
Suddenly, a shadow appeared right in front of him.
No one saw it move.
It was like the person had just spawned out of thin air.
It was Ethan.
Ethan looked at Trian with cold eyes.
He wasn’t loud, but his voice reached everyone’s ears.
“You filthy lizard,” Ethan muttered slowly.
“You have been alive for far too long.”
“It is time for you to go to sleep forever.”
Boom!
With a loud blast, Trian was gone.
He didn’t just fall over.
He blew apart into tiny glowing dust.
The 13th prince of the Fire Dragons, a royal blood, died just like a tiny bug.
For a few seconds, the whole room was frozen.
It felt like time had stopped.
No one could believe what they just saw.
A prince had been murdered in front of everyone.
But it happened so fast that even the strongest warriors didn’t see the attack.
They heard Ethan speak slowly.
But his body moved faster than light.
“No… no, no!” Ren, the protector, let out a scream that made the ground shake.
“Trian! My son!”
“Wake up!”
“This can’t be happening!”
Ren’s grief turned into pure rage.
He stopped looking like a man.
His skin turned into red scales.
He grew and grew until he was a massive crimson dragon, 50 meters tall.
His wings were so big they covered the hall.
Fire spit out of his mouth with every breath.
“I am declaring war!” the dragon roared.
His voice was like thunder.
“I will kill everyone here!”
“Every one of you will be buried with my son!”
Ren was too scared to attack Ethan directly.
So he aimed his anger at Rose and her family.
“You caused this!” he hissed at Rose.
“You will die today!”
The dragon took a deep breath.
He started to pull in all the energy from the air.
He was getting ready to use his strongest move.
The Dragon Breath.
This move could turn a whole city into ash.
“Get down!” the other leaders in the room shouted.
They were terrified.
They knew how strong a Fire Dragon’s breath was.
Rose, her sister Zara, and their friend Erina turned pale.
They felt the heat and knew they couldn’t survive it.
Melida jumped in front of them.
She threw up a magic shield to protect them.
But her hands were shaking.
She didn’t know if she could stop a dragon.
But they didn’t need to worry.
Ethan was way too angry to let the dragon finish.
In an instant, Ethan vanished again.
He reappeared high in the air.
Right in front of the dragon’s giant face.
He looked tiny compared to the monster.
But he didn’t look scared at all.
“You lizard,” Ethan said.
His voice was calm and clear, even over the sound of the roaring fire.
“You even slept with your own Empress?”
“What a ’loyal’ protector you are.”
“I’m sure the Fire Dragon Emperor would love to know that Trian wasn’t his son.”
“He was yours.”
The dragon’s eyes went wide.
The whole room went quiet.
They had just heard a shocking secret.
Before Ren could even react to the words.
Boom!
The air itself seemed to explode.
The giant dragon, an Eternal Sovereign level beast, was simply erased.
He didn’t leave a body behind.
He vanished into nothingness, just like his son.
Ethan floated in the air for a moment.
Then he landed softly on the ground.
He straightened his clothes.
He looked around.
The room was silent.
Every person there was looking at him with total fear.
The prince was dead.
The dragon was dead.
And Ethan hadn’t even broken a sweat.
Ethan looked at Rose and gave a small nod.
The danger was over.
