Chapter 425: Creating the auction materials
Inside the Space Cube, the air hummed with a power that felt separate from the laws of physics. Ethan stood before a figure that was his exact mirror image, yet the atmosphere around the figure was fundamentally different.
This was his first Omega Clone.
To create it, Ethan had performed a ritual of self-severance. He had reached into the core of his psyche and pulled out the concept of “Happiness.” As a result, the main body of Ethan Hunt stood there with a face like carved marble, handsome, but utterly devoid of joy.
His eyes were neutral, seeing the world as a series of equations and tactical moves.
In contrast, the Omega Clone radiated a vibrant, almost overwhelming energy. Its aura was thirty percent higher than Ethan’s own.
“Go and protect the family. I am counting on you,” Ethan said. His voice was flat, lacking the warmth he usually reserved for his sisters.
The clone grinned, a wide, infectious expression that the real Ethan could no longer mimic.
“Leave it to me. I’ll make sure they stay safe while you play the architect.”
Ethan handed over the Sword of Infinity. It was a heavy responsibility, but necessary. If an Absolute Continuum being, one of the true masters of existence, decided to interfere, the clone would need that blade just to survive the first exchange.
Furthermore, Ethan had severed the clone’s karma. It was a ghost in the records of destiny, untraceable by the prying eyes of everyone.
With a flash of light, the Omega Clone vanished.
It reappeared instantly inside the Tower in the Dragon World, standing right next to the previous, weaker clone.
“Damn,” the new clone muttered, flexing its fingers and feeling the raw power surging through its veins. “This feels incredible.”
But he didn’t have time to waste. He needed to stock the auction with items that would make the richest kings feel like beggars.
First, he focused on Eternal Grade weapons. With effortless precision, he crafted four masterpieces: a longsword that could cut through space, a bow that never missed its mark, and a short dagger that dripped with a poison capable of melting souls.
The fourth item was a whip. As he braided the metallic fibers, he remembered his promise to Melida. This whip was designed specifically for her, supple, fast, and imbued with an icy bite that would complement her aura.
But these were just the appetizers. Ethan wanted to create something absolute.
He closed his eyes and visualized a weapon that could link infinite timelines. He imagined a mirror that could find every version of an enemy across all parallel worlds and extinguish them simultaneously.
It was a terrifying concept, a weapon of total erasure.
“Creation,” Ethan whispered.
Immediately, the golden cells in his main body flared. The heat was so intense that the air around him turned into plasma. His skin glowed like a dying star, and for a moment, the Space Cube trembled.
Then, the light abruptly died out. The cells turned dim. Ethan felt a rare pang of physical exhaustion.
[Master, you just tried to create a weapon whose power must surpass the Origin Grade. As a Source Authority level being, you do not have the power to create such a weapon right now.]
Ethan stared at his hands.
“So that’s how it is. The knowledge is there, but the vessel is too small.”
He realized the danger of his thought process. If he could create a mirror to see other worlds, he might be able to see the other Absolute Continuum beings there.
It was a forbidden realm of knowledge, which should only belong to those gods outside.
“Fine,” the clone sighed. “I’ll stick to a standard Source Authority level weapon.”
He changed his design. This time, he pictured a violin. He wanted it to be a weapon of sound, a tool that could vibrate the very atoms of a Source Authority being until they disintegrated.
It would destroy both positive and negative matter, leaving nothing behind.
This time, the process was smooth. As the final string was placed on the dark, polished wood, a boom shook the tower.
A supreme aura erupted from the violin. It didn’t just stay within the tower; it surged outward in a massive golden wave. It swept across the Ice Dragon domain and traveled through the void, hitting the nearby worlds of the lesser races like a physical blow.
In the surrounding territories, the reaction was immediate.
“What is this aura?” an Eternal Sovereign gasped, falling to his knees as the pressure washed over him. “Is a Source Authority ancestor throwing a tantrum?”
But the true monsters, the Source Authorities themselves, felt something much deeper. They didn’t feel anger; they felt the birth of an object.
“This is impossible,” a Progenitor whispered from his dark throne. “That isn’t a person. That is a weapon. But Source Authority weapons are myths! They are stories we tell to children!”
To these beings, a weapon of that grade was a logical contradiction. How could an object hold more power than the soul of a primordial being?
Yet, the vibration in the air told them that the “impossible” was now sitting in a tower.
Outside the tower, the air shimmered. Lucifer appeared, his eyes fixed on the top floor. He looked less like a threatening demon and more like a scholar witnessing a miracle.
“The Land of the Ancients,” Lucifer murmured to himself. “He has to be from there. No one else has the blueprints for such things.”
He looked around, sensing the hidden eyes of other spies in the shadows. With a faint, mocking smile, he vanished again.
He had seen enough. Now, he needed to find the specific demon who had dared to threaten him earlier. He suspected that person was another piece on Ethan Hunt’s chessboard.
In the royal palace where Rose and her family stayed, the windows rattled in their frames.
Melida and Mr. Harrow were sitting in a meditation chamber, trying to process the sheer amount of energy in the air. Both were powerful, but this new aura made them feel small.
“That came from Mr. Hunt’s tower, didn’t it?” Melida asked, wiping sweat from her forehead.
Mr. Harrow nodded solemnly. “There is no doubt. The ripples are reaching the far edges of the galaxy. This isn’t just an auction anymore, Melida. This is a summons. Every Source Authority big shot is going to show up at our doorstep.”
“Can the Ice Dragon Empire handle that many monsters at once?” Melida asked, her voice trembling.
“We don’t have to,” Harrow replied, looking toward the tower. “They aren’t coming for us. They are coming for him. We are just the host.”
After that, Ethan created the blood serums too.
After a while, the clone smiled.
“The stage is ready. Let them come now. I want to make as many connections as possible.
Only after that, I’ll start searching for a Origin world to establish my Human empire.”, he thought to him self.
The day was already over.
Ethan saw that Zara and Rose were standing infront of the tower.
Melida and Mr. Harrow were standing behind them.
The gate opened automatically. Because Ethan included their aura in the tower. So they didn’t need permission to enter the tower.
“Please come to the 20th floor.”
