My Celestial Ascension - Chapter 817: Meeting Malgar

Chapter 817: Meeting Malgar
“M-My woman?! When did I ever agree to that?!” Yuan exclaimed, completely speechless.
“What are you talking about? I’m confused here. Care to explain?” Yuan asked, giving Vrasha—still lying on the ground—a puzzled look.
“Hahaha!! Yuan, you really need to do something about your face. No matter where you go, you always end up attracting beautiful women!” Valeria burst into laughter as she walked closer, struggling to hold it back.
Yuan’s face twisted in annoyance. He glanced at her with a teasing grin.
“Says the one who practically threw herself into my arms after losing to me.”
Valeria’s cheeks flushed instantly. “W-Well… I only did that because I fell in love with you the moment I laid eyes on you. It’s your fault, not mine!” she huffed, quickly turning her head away to hide her deepening blush.
’Not only did I throw myself at him, but I also… let him lick me down there. Kyaa! Just thinking about it now is so embarrassing!’ Valeria’s face burned even redder as the memories rushed back.
Yuan chuckled at her reaction before shifting his focus back to Vrasha, who was lying on the ground with a wide, seductive smile.
“I told you before the duel, didn’t I? That I’d give you something precious. Do you remember?” she asked with a mischievous glint in her eyes, her expression turning more alluring by the second.
“So… the precious thing you promised me was actually you?” Yuan finally realized, his eyes widening in disbelief.
’And I agreed without knowing what it really meant? Well… Vrasha isn’t ugly at all. In fact, she’s beautiful, scars and all,’ he admitted inwardly, staring at her in thought.
“What are you thinking so seriously about? I already belong to you now. Aren’t you happy?” Vrasha asked, her tone softening slightly. Then, a flicker of disappointment crossed her face. “Or… do you think I’m not beautiful enough?”
Yuan immediately shook his head and met her gaze with a reassuring smile.
“You’re beautiful, Vrasha. I was just… surprised.” He crouched down before her, his expression gentle.
Her eyes softened. “Then… will you accept me as your mate?”
Yuan’s smile deepened. “How could I call myself a man if I refused such a beautiful woman?”
Vrasha’s eyes widened in disbelief. “So… does that mean—”
But before she could finish, Yuan placed a finger gently on her lips.
“Yes.” He nodded and extended his hand toward her with a smile.
There was no need for words—Vrasha immediately understood his meaning. Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she grabbed his hand and rose from the ground in one swift motion.
The moment she stood, a smirk spread across her face. Without hesitation, she pulled Yuan into her embrace and pressed her lips against his in front of everyone.
The move was so sudden that Yuan couldn’t even utter a word before his mouth was sealed by Vrasha’s kiss.
’What the hell?! Well… since I already decided to accept her into my family, it’s only natural to share a kiss with her.’ Yuan sighed inwardly as he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer.
“Oh my…” Valeria chuckled softly, her eyes wide with surprise at the unexpected scene.
Meanwhile, the ogres who witnessed it were struck dumb by Vrasha’s boldness—and even more so by the fact that she had been defeated by a human.
“What in the world did I just witness?! That madwoman—Vrasha—actually lost to a human?!”
“This is insane! Since when did humans become this strong? I always thought they were weak and pathetic!”
“Look at her now! That madwoman is kissing the little monster!!”
“Vrasha has found a mate!! This is unbelievable news!!”
The training ground erupted with shocked murmurs, disbelief written across every ogre’s face as they watched Vrasha passionately kiss Yuan.
Not only were they stunned by her boldness, but they were equally shaken by the fact that Yuan had defeated her so easily—almost effortlessly.
The news spread like wildfire. Within moments, the entire tribe knew that Vrasha had lost to a human and, even more shocking, that she had chosen him as her mate.
Every corner of the tribe buzzed with disbelief. None had ever imagined Vrasha—whose strength had always towered above all—to fall in battle against a human, let alone find a mate.
“It’s hard to believe Vrasha actually found someone to match her… her standards were absurd.”
“And the fact that her mate is a human who bested her in a duel? Completely unbelievable.”
Whispers echoed endlessly, carrying the shocking news across the tribe.
Even the leader himself, Malgar, soon heard of it. His expression darkened, his voice low and grave as he muttered, “This is hard to believe… the human she brought into the tribe is even stronger than her.”
“Leader, what should we do? How do we handle this human?” one subordinate asked, his face tense with concern.
Malgar’s eyes narrowed, his voice cold and firm, laced with authority.
“Though his presence in the tribe is indeed concerning… it would be best if we do not act against them.”
“I’m not suggesting we ignore this matter entirely. We should hold an audience with the two humans and Vrasha before reaching any conclusion.” Malgar explained, his gaze firm as he addressed the council.
“Hmmm… I believe that’s the wisest course,” an old ogre with long white hair nodded, his tone heavy with thought. “The war with the Dragon Blood Tribe is upon us. We must focus on gathering strength, not creating powerful enemies.”
“Absolutely,” another ogre agreed with a sharp nod. “These two humans might even prove to be valuable assets in the coming battle. What are your thoughts, Leader?”
“I share the same opinion,” Malgar replied with a thin grin tugging at his lips. “Tell Vrasha to bring those two humans here. Let her know I formally request their presence.”
“As you command, my Lord.” A young ogre bowed before leaving the hut at once.
—
Vrasha clung tightly to Yuan’s arm as she led him and Valeria back to her hut, her face glowing with unrestrained joy.
“You look happier than I’ve ever seen you, Vrasha,” Valeria teased with a soft chuckle, catching the sparkle in her eyes.
“Of course I am! You have no idea how long I’ve searched for a mate worthy of me. And now, after all this time, I’ve finally found the right one.” Vrasha answered instantly, her golden eyes locking on Yuan with a playful gleam.
“I knew he was different the moment I laid eyes on him. That’s why I came up with a plan to claim him for myself.”
“You’re clever, Vrasha,” Valeria chuckled, “but honestly, I don’t think you even needed a plan.”
“And why not?” Vrasha asked, raising a brow in confusion.
“Because you didn’t notice how this perverted husband of mine kept sneaking looks at you.” Valeria smirked, her grin turning seductive as she glanced at Yuan.
When the trio reached Vrasha’s hut, they found an ogre with a spear standing guard outside.
“Ogaru, what are you doing at my door? Did that useless Leader send you here?” Vrasha asked, narrowing her eyes, irritation lacing her tone.
’So the rumors were true… Vrasha really chose a human as her mate.’ Ogaru thought, his eyes widening slightly as he noticed how intimately she held Yuan’s hand.
“That’s correct,” Ogaru replied with a calm smile. “The Leader has instructed me to formally invite the three of you to his hut. He wishes to meet with the two humans you’ve brought.”
“What does that bastard want now?! And why drag my mate and my sister into this?!” Vrasha growled, her golden eyes flashing with anger.
Ogaru let out a long sigh and shook his head. “I couldn’t say. But… he seemed rather eager to see the three of you for some reason.
“I see…” Vrasha shifted uneasily before glancing at Yuan, her eyes filled with concern. “What do you think, Hubby?”
“Hmmm… I believe we should go. Perhaps he only wishes to judge whether I’m a friend or a foe to the tribe.” Yuan replied after a brief pause.
“Fine then. Tell him we’ll come shortly. I need to clean myself before facing that bastard.” Vrasha’s voice turned cold, her golden eyes narrowing.
At that piercing look, Ogaru’s body trembled. Without another word, he spun on his heel and ran, desperate to escape. After all, no one in the tribe dared provoke Vrasha’s wrath.
“Pathetic. I didn’t even lift a finger, and he fled.” Vrasha muttered with a soft sigh.
—
Some time later, the trio reached Malgar’s hut. From up close, its size was even more daunting, the entrance adorned with towering monster bones that radiated raw menace.
Inside, Yuan and Valeria found several ogres seated upon crude stone chairs. At the very center loomed the tribe leader’s throne—massive, carved from blackened rock—with Malgar himself sitting upon it in a commanding posture.
“So, you’re the human who defeated this madwoman…” Malgar’s lips curled into a wide grin as his sharp gaze sized Yuan up. “You look quite young. Tell me, how old are you exactly?”
“I’m nineteen,” Yuan answered calmly, a faint smile resting on his lips.
“Nineteen?!” Malgar’s grin widened further, his eyes gleaming.
“You’re even younger than I thought. Remarkable! Hahaha!” His booming laugh echoed through the chamber. “I never imagined Vrasha would fall to someone your age.”
“Ah, where are my manners?” Malgar added after a beat, his tone shifting to formal. “I am Malgar, leader of this tribe. And you—what is your name, boy?”
“I’m Yuan. It’s an honor to meet you, Lord Malgar.” Yuan returned politely before gesturing to his side. “And this is my wife, Valeria.”
“Yuan…” Malgar repeated slowly, nodding with a faint smile.
“A strange name—but I like it.” His expression hardened, the grin fading into a sharp, probing stare.
After a long silence, he asked, “Tell me, Yuan. Where are you from, and why risk coming to the Beast Continent? Surely you know how dangerous it is for a human to wander freely here.”
“Well,” Yuan began evenly, “I hail from the Windfall Kingdom, under the Lionheart Empire on the Human Continent. I came here to visit the Elven Kingdom—one of my wives happens to be its queen.”
“I freed her people from the Holy Church, who had enslaved them. That wretched order no longer exists—because I destroyed it completely.” His tone remained calm, but his words carried a quiet finality.
“I was enjoying my time with my wife here when Vrasha appeared and brought us along. My presence in your tribe is nothing but coincidence.” Yuan concluded with a small smile.
The hut fell silent. Every ogre’s eyes widened in disbelief, their jaws nearly dropping to the floor.
“W-What did you just say?!?!” Malgar finally erupted, his voice echoing through the stone hall, his face twisted in shock.
