My Celestial Ascension - Chapter 861: Two Random Monkeys

Chapter 861: Two Random Monkeys
The Golden Lion Empire was still mourning the sudden death of Emperor Raghar. To this day the Imperial Family had not disclosed the identity of his killer.
The people remained curious about the emperor’s abrupt demise. Noble households were frantically digging for any scrap of information that might identify the culprit.
Despite the chaos, commerce in the capital thrived; every market area bustled with activity.
Suddenly the citizens noticed a giant Silver Eagle descending from the sky, and panic spread at once.
“H-Hey, look up! There’s something huge coming toward the city!” someone shouted in full panic, pointing at the massive Silver Eagle.
“That’s a Silver Eagle! An SSS-rank monster!”
“Run! It’s coming this way! Save your lives!”
People scattered like frightened rabbits as the entire capital gripped with alarm at the looming threat.
The Imperial Guards sprang into action, and the strongest warriors from the noble households rushed to gather around the palace.
Shortly, Empress Lindy and her son appeared outside the palace; everyone expected her presence, for she was the empire’s matriarch.
’This Silver Eagle is definitely not an ordinary monster… it’s an ancient magical beast with the power to leve l nations!’ Empress Lindy thought in panic, her expression frozen and her heartbeat accelerating by the second.
The Silver Eagle was no common beast: it was an ancient creature described in history books, often used by the gods of the High Heaven as a mount.
’Why would an ancient creature like the Silver Eagle appear over our empire…? This pressure…!!’ Empress Lindy’s eyes widened as two powerful presences suddenly made themselves known.
The pressure was so intense she dared not look directly toward its source; it pressed on her chest and made breathing difficult.
“Your Highness, what are your orders? Shall we take down this monster or wait?” one noble asked, his face grave.
“Let us wait and see,” Empress Lindy replied firmly. “This is an ancient magical beast from the history books — a creature of the High Heaven.”
“What?!” the nobleman gasped, perspiration beading on his brow as the weight of the situation hit him.
If this creature truly hailed from High Heaven, drawing its attention carelessly could invite consequences that might destroy the Golden Lion Empire entirely.
The confidence that had filled the nobles moments ago crumbled instantly after hearing Empress Lindy’s words. Every sword-wielding warrior hesitated, unsure if they could raise their weapons against the descending Silver Eagle.
Shortly after, the massive beast landed before the Imperial Palace, sending clouds of dust swirling across the area and igniting widespread panic.
As the dust slowly settled, two figures stepped down from the Silver Eagle’s back. The presences they exuded were unlike anything anyone had ever encountered; even the air itself seemed to tremble before them.
’T-They are… gods!! Gods from the High Heaven!!!’ Empress Lindy and everyone else thought in sheer panic, trembling uncontrollably at the sight.
The two figures, Zephar and Nerion, stood imposingly before Empress Lindy, their aura brimming with arrogance and overwhelming power.
“Are you the Empress of this nation?” Zephar asked, his tone dripping with authority, his expression calm yet exuding dominance.
Empress Lindy immediately knelt on the ground and bowed her head. Seeing this, everyone else in the vicinity followed suit, unwilling to show any disrespect toward the gods.
“Yes. I am the current ruler of this nation after my husband’s sudden death,” Empress Lindy replied respectfully, keeping her gaze lowered.
After a brief pause, she slightly lifted her head and asked, “May this lowly person know the reason for your arrival in our empire?”
“We are looking for someone. A human, to be exact. That is why we have arrived in your empire. We believe he was here a few days ago,” Zephar responded, his voice measured but firm.
“May I ask whom exactly you are seeking? We did see a human in our empire a few days ago, and we will do everything in our power to help you find him,” Empress Lindy replied promptly, her tone polite and deferential.
After a moment of thought, Zephar continued, “The person we are seeking is very special and exceedingly cunning. He is also handsome, surrounded by many beautiful women… Has such a person recently arrived in your empire?”
“A very handsome man… surrounded by many beautiful women…” Empress Lindy repeated softly, trying to piece the description together.
Suddenly, a very handsome face appeared vividly in her mind—the young man who had arrived with Queen Mireya and her entourage. She had never forgotten that face; it was too striking to erase.
’Could this be the same person these two gods are after?’ she wondered, trying to connect the dots.
Zephar and Nerion’s eyes narrowed as they observed her closely. From the look on her face, it was clear she had seen the very person they were seeking.
“Have you seen the person?” Zephar asked, his eyes locking onto her face with a steely intensity.
“I think I’ve seen this person… I don’t know if it’s the same one you are searching for. However, I saw a very handsome young man surrounded by several beautiful women alongside the Queen of the Elves—Queen Mireya,” Empress Lindy replied after a brief pause, her tone firm and laced with vengeful undertones as she uttered Queen Mireya’s name.
“Queen Mireya of the Elven Kingdom… this is quite unexpected… he even managed to woo the Elven Queen,” Nerion muttered, his eyes widening in surprise at the revelation.
“This is not entirely surprising considering his capabilities. Every woman in his group is extremely powerful; each has the strength to destroy nations on their own,” Zephar added with a dry chuckle, equally impressed and slightly amused.
’What?! Not only is Queen Mireya strong, but all the women with her also possess similar strength?!’ Empress Lindy thought, her eyes widening in disbelief and her heart pounding.
After a moment of silence, Zephar spoke again, “Furthermore, from what we know, this young man is incredibly dangerous. He destroyed the entire Holy Church before arriving on this continent. We must capture him as soon as possible!”
“What?! But he seemed so harmless. I couldn’t sense any Mana from him, nor from any of the women with him, including Queen Mireya!” Empress Lindy exclaimed, her face a mixture of shock and disbelief.
“That is precisely what makes them more dangerous… their strength is highly unusual. They don’t rely on magic at all; their combat style is completely different from anyone else in this world,” Nerion added, his expression grave and serious.
A few moments later, Zephar and Nerion mounted the Silver Eagle and took to the sky, leaving the people of the Golden Lion Empire utterly speechless.
Once the massive bird disappeared into the distance, the citizens finally exhaled, feeling as though a tremendous weight had been lifted from their chests.
Yet what truly amazed them was the sheer rarity of the event: two gods had descended upon the capital city. Such a phenomenon was nearly unheard of, as gods would never appear in the mortal world without absolute necessity, and most mortals would never see a god with their own eyes in their lifetime.
For the people of the Golden Lion Empire, today’s events were nothing short of miraculous—a phenomenon that could only happen once in a thousand years.
Soon, whispers and discussions spread throughout the empire, curiosity rising in every corner as the citizens speculated and sought to learn more about the two gods who had visited their capital.
—
“Shall we head directly to the Elven Kingdom?” Nerion asked, glancing at Zephar with a curious expression as he noticed him deep in thought.
“Of course. We cannot allow a dangerous man like him to roam freely. We must bring him to High Heaven and present him before our God King as soon as possible!” Zephar replied, snapping out of his daze. His eyes were fixed on the horizon, his expression serious and resolute.
Nerion nodded, then raised an eyebrow as he looked at Zephar. “Do you think he will agree to come with us without a fight?”
“Absolutely not! From what I’ve learned about him, he is extremely arrogant and will not bow to anyone. Without subduing him completely, it would be impossible to bring him along,” Zephar said firmly.
“Makes sense. He is so strong and has so many beautiful women by his side… if he were weak, no way would so many of them flock to him like that,” Nerion commented thoughtfully.
“Indeed,” Zephar nodded, a small chuckle escaping his lips.
Shortly after, the Elven Kingdom came into view, the towering Mother Tree visible from miles away, its majesty unmistakable.
“So, this is the Elven Kingdom I’ve heard so much about… truly, it is unexpectedly beautiful… almost too beautiful,” Nerion murmured, captivated by the sight.
“I never knew mortals were capable of building something like this… some of them truly are exceptional in their skills and talents,” Zephar added with a smile, his gaze admiring the grand kingdom before them.
—
Inside the Elven Palace, Mireya was working diligently in her office, guiding Elaris through the many responsibilities and intricacies of being a Queen.
She intended to prepare her cousin, Elaris, to become the next Queen of the Elves before leaving the kingdom to travel with Yuan. Mireya wanted Elaris to be capable and powerful, ruling the kingdom wisely and ensuring its prosperity. This way, the future of the kingdom would be secure, and Mireya could leave without worrying about her people’s well-being.
“Sister Mireya, are you really going to leave the Kingdom? Can’t you stay and rule?” Elaris asked, her voice tinged with concern.
“No, I cannot stay here forever. My place now is by my husband’s side,” Mireya replied, shaking her head. She continued thoughtfully, “Moreover, my presence here would disrupt the natural order of the continent and make our people more arrogant.
“If I continue to rule, our people would become greedy, as no other nation or tribe would dare challenge them. That would only create chaos. I must consider the long-term future, not just the present,” Mireya explained, her smile calm yet determined.
“I see…” Elaris nodded slowly, a hint of sadness in her expression as she absorbed her sister’s reasoning.
Suddenly, Mireya’s expression shifted, her eyes narrowing as she sensed something approaching. Elaris looked at her in confusion, noticing the change.
“What is it, Sister Mireya?” she asked, puzzled.
“It’s nothing… just two random monkeys coming toward our kingdom on a bird,” Mireya replied with a small, amused chuckle, her tone laced with calm confidence.
