My Celestial Ascension - Chapter 888: Long Yuyan

Chapter 888: Long Yuyan
The attack was so powerful that it blasted everything apart. The shockwave and aftermath were so intense that Fang Xiaoyan and Xi Meili had to create a protective barrier around everyone to prevent them from being blown away by the force of the explosion.
Once the smoke and dust finally settled, the sight that appeared before them left everyone dumbfounded—especially Nyx, whose eyes widened in disbelief.
’What the hell was that attack?! It was so powerful it could erase an entire mountain from the map with ease!!’ she exclaimed inwardly after witnessing Yuan’s most powerful technique, leaving her completely speechless.
She then looked at Yuan, who stood calmly before the devastation with a confident smile on his face, and she let out a deep sigh.
’With such strength… there is no one in this world who can fight him. He has the power to crush everyone in this world…’ she thought, sighing softly once more.
She then turned her gaze toward Emma and smiled gently. ’My Emma is so lucky to have found such an outstanding son-in-law. He is truly a handsome young man…’
The massive metal door was nearly destroyed by the attack, with a gigantic cut carved into its center. It had bent inward, creating an enormous gap through which even an adult could easily pass.
’I didn’t expect that it would cost me nearly half of my Qi… that door is really something else,’ Yuan thought as he examined the damaged door with a surprised expression.
Turning to his wives, Yuan said, “Let me recover my Qi before we go inside. I can feel a powerful presence behind this door.”
“It’s fine. We don’t know what kind of surprise is waiting for us inside, so we’d better prepare for the worst,” Valeria said with a calm smile.
Yuan nodded and sat down in a lotus position, closing his eyes as he began to recover his Qi.
He absorbed a massive amount of Qi through every pore of his body, replenishing his reserves at an astonishing rate.
In just a short while, he had fully recovered his Qi and was once again ready to enter the treasury to see what awaited them inside.
“I’ve recovered my Qi. Let’s head inside now,” Yuan said as he stood up and slowly approached the ruined door.
Anna Grace and the others nodded and carefully entered the treasury through the broken opening, moving cautiously to avoid the sharp edges.
The door itself was a treasure, and those jagged edges could easily cause serious injuries.
Once inside, Yuan and his wives were shocked by the scenery before them; it didn’t feel like they were inside a mountain at all.
A massive lake lay at the center, with a towering pagoda standing in the middle of the water. The surroundings were breathtaking, as the surface of the lake was covered with countless beautiful lotus flowers.
The sweet and refreshing fragrance of the flowers filled the area, bringing a breath of fresh air. However, Xi Meili and Fang Xiaoyan’s eyes sharpened as they both stared intently at the still surface of the lake.
“The filthy scent of a dragon…” Fang Xiaoyan muttered in a low voice, her gaze piercing as if it could see far beyond the calm water.
Xi Meili shot Fang Xiaoyan a sharp glare, her teeth clenched in anger.
“She isn’t talking about you, Meili,” Yuan said as he stepped in, calming her with a gentle kiss on her cheek, causing her to blush slightly.
Before Yuan and his wives could shift their gaze, ripples spread across the surface of the lake. Soon after, bubbles emerged as if something massive was rising from the depths below.
Slowly, the water surged upward before a gigantic dragon burst out of the lake, soaring into the air and circling around the massive pagoda at the lake’s center.
ROOAAARRRRRRR!!!!
The dragon let out a terrifying roar as it looked toward Yuan and his wives standing near the lake—only to suddenly shudder in fear.
Its gaze locked onto Xi Meili and Fang Xiaoyan, filled with such terror that it seemed as though it had already witnessed its own death.
“Hmph!” Xi Meili sneered coldly at the dragon as she stood proudly beside Yuan.
The dragon sensed Xi Meili’s godlike bloodline and trembled uncontrollably. The overwhelming pressure terrified it so much that it froze in place, not daring to move an inch.
“We won’t kill you if you comply with us,” Yuan spoke calmly to the dragon, his expression composed, showing no surprise at its appearance.
The dragon hurriedly nodded its massive head before its azure-colored scales began to glow with a soft blue light, its form gradually shrinking as it transformed into a human.
The enormous dragon turned into a woman, her curved horns elegant and beautiful. She possessed an ethereal appearance comparable even to Yuan’s wives.
“Please forgive the rudeness of this lowly one,” she said as she immediately bowed toward Xi Meili, her body still trembling in fear.
’T-This is unbelievable!! How could a dragon with such a pure bloodline exist in this world?!’ the dragon cried inwardly, overwhelmed by disbelief and terror.
“Calm down. As promised, we’re not going to kill you,” Xi Meili replied calmly, her posture proud and composed.
Once the dragon finally steadied herself, Xi Meili asked, “Now tell me—what kind of dragon are you? It’s the first time I’ve met another dragon. I’m quite curious about your origin.”
“Forgive me for not introducing myself earlier. I am Long Yuyan, and in the past, I served as the guardian beast of the Earth Immortal Sect,” Long Yuyan introduced herself to Yuan and his wives, her tone filled with utmost respect.
She then continued, “I belong to the Azure Dragon Bloodline, but I have no relationship with the Azure Dragon Clan of the Divine Heaven, as I was merely a flood dragon before my bloodline evolved.”
“Hmmm, you evolved your bloodline? Is that even possible?” Yuan asked with a curious expression, clearly surprised.
“It is indeed possible. And don’t forget that she is a Divine Warrior–level cultivator,” Fang Xiaoyan responded, nodding softly.
After taking a deep breath, Fang Xiaoyan began to explain, “Most Spirit Beasts possess the ability to evolve their bloodline, but it can only happen once in their entire lifetime.”
“If they carry even a trace of a powerful bloodline, such as the Azure Dragon Bloodline, they can evolve it after awakening. However, doing so requires an enormous amount of Spiritual Energy and an extremely long period of time.”
“And considering how long she has been trapped within the treasury of the Earth Immortal Sect, she had both the resources and the time needed to evolve her bloodline naturally,” Fang Xiaoyan explained calmly.
“That is correct. I evolved my bloodline naturally after awakening it. It was all thanks to the Spiritual Spring beneath the lake,” Long Yuyan replied, nodding softly.
“I see… no wonder the water of the lake emits such powerful Spiritual Energy. So there really is a Spiritual Spring at the bottom,” Yuan muttered quietly.
“Since you’ve been trapped in this place for a very long time, do you know what happened to the sect? And why all the cultivators abandoned this place?” Yuan asked, finally voicing the question that truly mattered.
“I do know what happened. However, it’s not what you think,” Long Yuyan replied as her expression hardened, rage flickering in her eyes.
She continued, “Everything was normal until one day, when the sky suddenly turned dark and everyone collapsed to the ground without warning.”
“When I checked, their souls had already left their bodies. It was as if a powerful curse had been cast upon this world, shattering everyone’s soul. That day is something I will never forget for the rest of my life.”
“And that was also the day I was imprisoned inside this treasury by a mysterious force. Before I realized it, I was already sealed inside with no way to escape. Ever since then, I have lived here alone,” Long Yuyan explained with a sorrowful expression.
“I see… so everyone died that day. Perhaps you were fated to survive,” Yuan said softly.
After a brief pause, he continued, “How about you come with us after we finish exploring the treasury? The world has changed, and there are no cultivators left in this world anymore.”
“Besides us, you won’t find a single cultivator in this world,” Anna Grace added with a gentle smile.
Long Yuyan froze upon hearing this, her eyes widening in shock.
“W-What do you mean there are no cultivators left in this world anymore?! Just what in the world happened?!” she exclaimed in disbelief.
Yuan stepped forward and said, “We don’t know what exactly happened in the past, but the knowledge of cultivation has been lost over time.”
“And I believe that the event back then must be connected to this. That’s why the people of this world have forgotten cultivation, even though there is still an abundance of spiritual energy here,” he explained calmly.
“That’s very unexpected…” Long Yuyan muttered in disbelief, her eyes still widened from the shock.
After calming herself, she said, “You can find the treasures inside the pagoda. In the meantime, I’ll wait for all of you here.”
“In that case, we should hurry inside,” Yuan said as he and his wives nodded before immediately flying toward the pagoda, leaving Nyx behind with Long Yuyan.
Nyx looked at Long Yuyan with a strange expression, still unable to believe that she was standing before an ancient being who had lived for thousands of years.
Moreover, the being before her was a dragon—a true Dragon from the ancient past, unlike the dragons of the present era.
Long Yuyan also looked at Nyx with curiosity, unable to determine what kind of bloodline Nyx possessed.
’This woman… she is a mortal, yet she possesses a powerful bloodline. I can sense it just by standing here,’ Long Yuyan thought as her gaze lingered on Nyx.
Meanwhile, Yuan and his wives arrived at the pagoda. However, a massive door blocked their path forward.
Boom! A tremendous explosion erupted as Yuan suddenly attacked the door with his sword, using Sword Aura to amplify its destructive power.
When the dust settled, Yuan and his wives collectively gasped upon seeing that not even a single scratch had appeared on the door.
“What in the world is this door made of? I didn’t even leave a mark on it?!” Yuan exclaimed in shock, and his wives were equally stunned.
Suddenly, Long Yuyan appeared before them, holding a jade token in her hand.
“I forgot to mention that the pagoda can only be opened with this token,” she said with a strange smile as she handed the token to Yuan. “You may open the pagoda and take whatever you want from inside.”
