My Celestial Ascension - Chapter 890: A Small Misunderstanding

Chapter 890: A Small Misunderstanding
Once they were all out of the Earth Immortal Sect, Long Yuyan looked at her surroundings with a dazed expression before taking a long breath and closing her eyes for a brief moment.
“The world has truly changed… so much that I don’t even recognize it anymore,” she spoke a moment later after opening her eyes.
The world felt completely unrecognizable, as though she had been transported to an entirely different realm, leaving her with the unsettling feeling of being a stranger.
So much time had passed since she was imprisoned within the treasury of the Earth Immortal Sect, and now that she was free, the once-familiar land appeared utterly alien.
’So much time has passed… just what is my fate in this world? Why was I the only one who survived? Is it destiny, or am I merely a chess piece on someone’s board?’
Countless questions surfaced in Long Yuyan’s mind, each one a deep mystery with no answers to be found.
She looked at Yuan, then shifted her gaze to Xi Meili and Fang Xiaoyan.
’Both of them are clearly Divine Beasts… with bloodlines so pure and powerful that they defy logic. And yet, they are following a young human who isn’t even a hundred years old.’
Long Yuyan still couldn’t believe that two proud Divine Beasts were willingly following Yuan and acting so close to him. The sight alone shocked her deeply.
Divine Beasts possessed pride so immense that they would never lower their heads or submit to a human’s command. Even if that human had extraordinary talent, it would still be unacceptable.
Especially phoenixes—among all creatures, they were the most proud and arrogant. They looked down on all others, and even within their own race, they despised those with weaker bloodlines.
’There is something else about this young man… he can befriend Divine Beasts and make them willingly listen to him. This is not something just anyone can achieve,’ Long Yuyan thought as her gaze lingered on Yuan.
“So, where exactly are we?” she asked, glancing around with curiosity.
“We’re on the Demonic Continent—more precisely, within the territory of the Demon Empire,” Yuan replied with a calm smile.
The moment Long Yuyan heard this, her expression turned icy, nearly erupting with rage. Yet, she forcefully restrained herself.
“Demon Empire, you say? So those loathsome creatures still exist, huh? What a bother…” Long Yuyan muttered, her voice dripping with disdain, her eyes colder than ice.
“Hahaha! Miss Long, it seems you’ve misunderstood something. Allow me to clarify,” Yuan said with a light laugh.
And without wasting a single moment, he began explaining everything to dispel her misunderstanding.
“I see… it turned out quite the opposite of what I thought,” Long Yuyan sighed softly after realizing that the so-called ’demons’ of the Demonic Continent were not the same kind of demons that once terrorized the Nine Heavens.
“Indeed. It’s just that humans referred to them as demons… they have no relationship with the real demons at all,” Yuan said, nodding with a faint smile.
“Humans are greedy, and their hearts are weak… they fear everything they don’t understand or anything too powerful. It has been like this since the beginning, and it will always remain that way,” Long Yuyan murmured quietly after a brief pause.
She then asked, “So where are we going now?”
“We will be traveling,” Yuan replied with a smile, then continued, “I’ve been searching for a way to travel somewhere very far away. To reach that place, I need a teleportation device.”
“Unfortunately, I don’t know where such a teleportation device is located in this world. So for now, we’re essentially searching across the world for one,” he explained with a soft sigh.
“I see… so you’re looking for a teleportation device,” Long Yuyan paused briefly before saying, “Actually, I might be able to help you with that. I know the locations where teleportation devices existed in the past.”
“Hmm…” Yuan looked at her for a moment before replying, “Even if you know their locations, that knowledge comes from the past. This is no longer the Divine Heaven you remember.”
Long Yuyan thought about his words for a moment, then nodded softly with a sigh. “You’re right. This world is far too small to be the Divine Heaven.”
“The Divine Heaven was so vast that it would take months for cultivators to travel from one city to another. Most cultivators couldn’t even traverse the entire world in their lifetime.”
“It’s like comparing a pebble to a towering mountain—this world is simply too small,” Long Yuyan said as she sighed quietly.
’Was the Divine Heaven really that massive?’ Yuan and his wives wondered inwardly after hearing her words.
After a moment of thought, Long Yuyan spoke again. “Anyway, there was once a floating island near the Earth Immortal Sect that housed a massive teleportation device. If I remember correctly, it was one of the most powerful teleportation devices ever created.”
“It should still exist in this world, if I’m not mistaken. After all, that floating island was the Holy Land of the Earth Immortal Sect,” Long Yuyan explained.
“I see…” Yuan nodded slowly as realization dawned on him.
The High Heaven—the massive island floating in the sky where the so-called gods now resided. It matched Long Yuyan’s description perfectly, as it was the only island in this world that floated above the heavens.
’So we have to go to the High Heaven now… this is truly unexpected. I was already planning to head there if we didn’t find any clues here,’ Yuan smiled inwardly.
“The Holy Land of the Earth Immortal Sect has a different name now,” Yuan said as he looked at Long Yuyan. “It’s now known as the High Heaven.”
“Oh? Who would dare rename the Holy Land of the Earth Immortal Sect? And with such an absurd name at that,” Long Yuyan raised her brows as she looked back at Yuan, her eyes sharp, killing intent faintly radiating from them.
“There are some fools… they call themselves the gods of this world. They’re so arrogant that they don’t even understand their own standing,” Valeria replied with a small snort.
“Is that so… it seems there’s quite a bit of drama waiting for me in this world,” Long Yuyan muttered softly, her eyes turning cold.
Soon after, Yuan and his wives left the area and flew toward another city.
Since they already knew where the teleportation device was located, they could relax slightly and take the time to look around the continent.
They also didn’t know whether they would ever get another chance to see the Demonic Continent once they left this world.
It was better to explore first and return to Earth later. There was so much to see on this isolated continent, and so far, they had only encountered demons—there were many other races living here as well.
“So, where does this teleportation device lead us?” Yuan asked Long Yuyan, his curiosity evident as he wondered where he and his wives would end up after activating it.
“The receiver is a massive mountain. The entire mountain itself is a giant teleportation device. It’s called Mount Kailash—it’s regarded as a Holy Ground with an unknown origin,” Long Yuyan replied.
Upon hearing this, Yuan’s eyes widened in disbelief. He was so stunned that he couldn’t utter a single word, as the name was extremely familiar to him.
He had heard of this place countless times in his past life on Earth, and even there, it was regarded as a Holy Ground with a mysterious origin.
’Mount Kailash… it’s from Earth! It’s definitely from Earth!’ Yuan exclaimed inwardly, his eyes burning with excitement.
’I’ve really found a way back to Earth! This is completely unexpected…’ Yuan thought, a huge smile spreading across his face.
Anna Grace immediately noticed his expression and smiled as she asked, “Why are you smiling like that, darling?”
“Well, because I’m happy… in fact, I’m extremely excited right now,” Yuan replied with a smile.
Long Yuyan looked at Yuan and realized that he recognized the place she had mentioned. Still, she couldn’t help but wonder how he knew about Mount Kailash.
A few minutes later, Yuan and his wives spotted a massive city in the distance, one that was even larger than the previous city they had seen.
They descended to the ground a short distance away from the city, as they didn’t want to attract too much attention, considering their appearances alone would already draw curious eyes.
As they approached the city gate, the guards stationed at the entrance immediately noticed them and signaled Yuan and his group to stop.
“Who are you people? You don’t look like anyone from the Demon Empire. What is your business here?” one of the guards asked in a stern voice, his sharp gaze sweeping over Yuan and his wives.
“We are a group of travelers… we happened to pass by and decided to stay the night here. We came from Hexoria City,” Yuan stepped forward and replied calmly.
’Hexoria City… are these the group of people mentioned to our Lord by the Duke?’ the guard wondered inwardly as he studied Yuan and his wives more carefully.
“How long are you planning to stay here?” he asked, lifting his gaze slightly.
“Not more than three days,” Yuan answered without hesitation.
“In that case, you may enter our city. However, you must follow our laws and not cause any disturbances,” the guard said as he handed Yuan a small booklet.
“Also, you must pay the entry fee. It’s mandatory.”
Yuan nodded and immediately handed over the required payment before leading his group into the city.
As they entered, Yuan casually flipped through the small booklet before tossing it into his system storage and looking around at the surroundings.
The city looked quite similar to Hexoria City. The only difference was that this city was much larger and significantly more crowded. Other than that, everything appeared familiar.
“Let’s celebrate our gains. We’ve obtained so many valuable treasures, and we’ve also found what we were looking for. This is the perfect occasion for a proper celebration,” Yuan said to his wives as he extended his Divine Sense to search for a restaurant.
Anna Grace and the others immediately nodded, their excitement mirroring his own after such a massive harvest.
Before long, they arrived at the entrance of a restaurant, and even from outside, they could already smell the mouthwatering aroma of food drifting out.
