My Celestial Ascension - Chapter 900: A Shocking Revelation

Chapter 900: A Shocking Revelation
Rhex moved everyone to a different room to discuss some serious matters. Yuan and the others followed his lead without question, simply because they were curious about what the Demon Emperor was planning.
However, none of them was worried about anything. They were ready to face any situation, as they possessed the strength to escape without any problem.
“Please have a seat, everyone,” Rhex said as he gestured toward the sofas with a smile before settling into one himself.
Yuan and the others nodded and took their seats on the sofas. The four dukes followed suit and sat down as well.
The servants moved swiftly, bringing tea and pastries to the table, and within seconds, the table was filled with fragrant tea and all kinds of delicious pastries.
Rhex signaled for the servants to leave the room, and they obeyed immediately, bowing their heads slightly before exiting.
Once the servants left, Rhex looked at Yuan and asked, “So, young man, what was the reason behind taking such a risk and crossing the mysterious storm barrier to come here?”
“You must have had a significant reason, considering how dangerous it is. We don’t even dare to approach it, let alone cross it.”
“You’re right about one thing. We did have a reason for coming here—an important one,” Yuan nodded with a faint smile, not denying it.
He then continued, “However, we’ve already achieved what we came for. Now, we’re simply traveling the continent before leaving. We couldn’t let such an opportunity to explore the famous Demonic Continent go to waste.”
“And what exactly were you searching for? Surely it couldn’t have been something insignificant,” Duke Hexryn suddenly spoke, her curiosity evident.
With a slight grin, she continued, “I’m quite curious to know what could make you come all the way here, taking such a huge risk by crossing the mysterious storm barrier…”
“Even if I told you, you wouldn’t understand. It’s beyond mortal understanding,” Yuan replied calmly before taking a small sip of tea.
Upon hearing this, Duke Hexryn’s expression twisted slightly, unable to hide her displeasure.
At the same time, Emperor Rhex, Duke Alric, and Duke Corvin raised their brows as they all looked at Yuan. They, too, were deeply curious about what drove him to the Demonic Continent.
With a displeased look, Duke Hexryn spoke, “Young man, you shouldn’t underestimate someone so lightly. I have lived for a thousand years, to be exact, and there is little in this world that I do not know.”
“It is not about age, Lady Hexryn,” Yuan replied with a soft sigh, briefly glancing at Long Yuyan before looking back at her.
With a proud grin, he continued, “In fact, Lady Long Yuyan here is the oldest among us. She has lived for tens of thousands of years. In her eyes, you are nothing more than a child.”
This revelation shocked everyone inside the room. Even Emperor Rhex lost his composure as his eyes widened in disbelief after hearing this.
It sounded absurd to them, as they had never heard of someone living for such an incomprehensible length of time while still looking as beautiful as a goddess.
Duke Hexryn’s mouth opened and closed, but not a single word escaped. She was too stunned to respond, never having expected that someone in this room could be so ancient.
’To think this woman is that old… yet she looks so young, as if she were in her early twenties. Is he lying about her age?’ Duke Hexryn pondered, finding it difficult to believe.
After all, Long Yuyan didn’t look old in the slightest. Anyone would assume she was a young woman barely in her twenties.
However, her overall demeanor was completely different from that of someone so young. There was a depth to her presence that time alone could carve.
“One’s age is merely a number. It has nothing to do with knowledge,” Long Yuyan spoke calmly and indifferently, as though everyone present was beneath her—aside from Yuan and the others.
“I have seen many people far younger than myself who possessed knowledge far greater than mine,” she continued in the same detached tone.
“Unfortunately, everything has changed now. The entire world has changed… It’s a pity that such people will no longer exist in this world,” she sighed softly before sipping her tea with elegant composure.
’This woman is far too mysterious… I don’t fully understand her words. The world has changed, yes—but not to the point of becoming unrecognizable,’ Emperor Rhex thought, sighing inwardly.
A few seconds later, he sighed aloud and said, “It’s difficult to believe that someone so profound is sitting right beside us. You truly are a mysterious individual, Yuan.”
Yuan merely smiled and said nothing.
“However, I would like to offer you some advice,” Rhex continued. “Someone like you is destined to bring about enormous change in this world.”
“Please, go ahead. I’m listening,” Yuan replied with a calm smile.
Emperor Rhex’s expression turned serious as he said, “You must be careful of the Gods residing in the High Heaven. They desire this world to move strictly according to their ideology.”
“They fear the unknown. Anything they cannot comprehend, they treat as a threat—and in their eyes, you are precisely that,” he paused before continuing, “I can sense that all of you possess power comparable to ours. That alone makes you dangerous to them.”
Yuan raised his brows slightly as he listened. This information was new, though he was already aware that the Gods coveted his power, having fought and defeated many of them before.
Seeing the subtle change in Yuan’s expression, Emperor Rhex took a deep breath. He could already tell that Yuan had encountered the Gods, just from that look alone.
’So it seems the Gods have already begun making their move against him… I truly didn’t expect this,’ he thought with a heavy sigh.
“Thanks for your concern. However, they have already started making their moves against us. In fact, I have killed a few gods before coming here,” Yuan responded casually, as though it were nothing worth mentioning.
“…” Silence fell over the room, and everyone was stunned the moment they heard this. Their eyes widened in sheer disbelief.
For the next few minutes, the entire room remained silent. Not a single person uttered a word, as the shock of what they had just heard left them speechless.
“Young man, do not joke about killing gods. This is no trivial matter. A single god could level an entire city—they are that powerful,” Duke Corvin said with a grave expression on his face.
