My Celestial Ascension - Chapter 926: Isolde Ashveil’s Residence

Chapter 926: Isolde Ashveil’s Residence
The outcome of the duel between Yuan and Countess Isolde shocked King Evander and the vampire nobles to their very core.
They had expected Countess Isolde to achieve an easy victory over Yuan—the actual result was something they had never even imagined.
Her defeat shook them deeply, shattering their pride and broadening their understanding—that there would always be someone stronger in this world.
What shocked them most was that Yuan’s victory came so effortlessly. He had not even been serious throughout the entire duel, making it even harder to accept just how overwhelmingly powerful he truly was.
Countess Isolde was renowned throughout the Vampire Kingdom and beyond for her brutal training methods, which many considered cruel even by vampire standards.
No one had ever endured her training for more than a single day. Even those with the strongest will eventually gave up under her regime.
Many vampires feared her name more than that of their own king—not only because of her harsh methods but also because of her peculiar personality.
Furthermore, Countess Isolde possessed a very unique bloodline among vampires, one comparable to the royal lineage itself.
’I trained my entire life and risked my life countless times… and yet I was defeated so easily by a human… This is something I never expected,’ Isolde thought as she silently followed Yuan, her gaze fixed on his back.
’However… since he defeated me fairly and squarely… should I devote myself to him? After all, he is the only person who has managed to stir my heart…’ The thought made her heart skip a beat, awakening a sensation she had never experienced before.
Throughout her life, she had pursued strength above all else. She had never once considered having a partner, nor had she ever thought of giving her heart to anyone.
Yet after witnessing Yuan’s extraordinary power and experiencing such overwhelming defeat, she began to realize that becoming stronger through endless suffering was not the only path forward.
There were still many things in the world she had never experienced. Perhaps, by following her heart’s desires, she might even achieve a new breakthrough in strength.
She walked quietly behind him, her attention entirely focused on Yuan. The expression on her face was unmistakable—it was the look of someone who had begun to admire him deeply.
Valeria and Princess Nerith subtly noticed her lingering gaze, like that of a lovestruck girl, but they chose to remain silent and continued walking.
Some time later, the vampire nobles departed from the castle to prepare their soldiers for the coming war—a war that would determine their future.
However, Countess Isolde decided to remain at the palace a little longer, as she intended to personally escort Yuan and the others to her own castle.
Vampire King Evander was quite surprised by her request. He could hardly believe that someone as cold and ruthless as Countess Isolde would take the initiative to invite Yuan and his companions.
Even Queen Carmilla was astonished; she had never imagined that Isolde would take an interest in a human after remaining single for so long.
As a fellow woman, she immediately understood the meaning behind the invitation. The expression on Isolde’s face made everything obvious to her.
King Evander quickly instructed Butler Sebastian to gather all the soldiers in one place so that he could personally prepare them for the approaching war that would shake the entire Demonic Continent.
He needed to muster every ounce of strength available to face the Undead King and his vast army of millions before they reached the border.
Queen Carmilla likewise mobilized all of her shadow soldiers and informed each of them of the unfolding situation.
Some time later, Yuan and the others decided to bid farewell to the Vampire Royal Family and soon left the castle.
“By the way, why are we visiting Countess Isolde’s castle? Do you have some important business with her?” Princess Nerith asked, a puzzled expression on her face.
Yuan had suddenly informed everyone about their detour to Countess Isolde’s residence, which had surprised them all.
Moreover, Countess Isolde stayed close to Yuan like a shadow, wearing a strange expression as she continuously looked at him with an unmistakably lovestruck gaze.
Nerith, being inexperienced in matters of love, failed to notice anything unusual. Unlike her, Yuan’s wives were practically giggling among themselves, exchanging knowing glances and silent messages.
“I gave her my word that I would visit her castle after the duel. It’s as simple as that,” Yuan replied with a gentle smile.
“I see…” Nerith nodded in understanding.
As a warrior, she valued her word above all else. It would be disgraceful if a warrior failed to honor their promise and such a person would not deserve to be called a warrior.
Thus, she asked no further questions about the matter.
As for Anna Grace and the others, they remained silent, though the mysterious smiles on their faces suggested they understood far more than they were letting on.
“Should I fetch another carriage? I did not anticipate this situation, so I did not prepare additional transport,” Countess Isolde asked, visible embarrassment in her expression, as her carriage could not accommodate more than two people.
“It’s fine, Lady Isolde. We’ll follow your carriage from the sky. Instead, you should give my mother-in-law Nyx and Princess Nerith a ride,” Yuan said with a smile.
Isolde was clearly surprised to learn that the snake demi-human woman was Yuan’s mother-in-law. She had not expected this at all.
“Oh? She is your mother-in-law… I did not expect that,” Isolde said, looking at Yuan and Nyx with surprise.
“Of course. And this is her daughter, Emma,” Yuan added, pulling Emma gently into his embrace with a confident smile.
Emma, however, felt slightly embarrassed as Yuan suddenly drew her close in front of someone they barely knew.
“In that case, please come inside and ride with me, Lady Nyx and Princess Nerith,” Countess Isolde said politely, opening the carriage door and gesturing for them to enter.
“Thank you, Lady Isolde,” Nyx replied with a soft smile as she boarded the carriage, with Princess Nerith following behind her.
—
The castle where Isolde resided was enormous—a grand structure with an elegant yet refined design, resembling a historical monument more than a place of residence.
It overlooked breathtaking mountains and valleys, with a massive lake behind it, giving the entire estate a fantastical atmosphere, as though it had come straight out of a fairytale.
The castle was heavily guarded by vampire soldiers, each one strong and disciplined—the unmistakable result of Isolde’s harsh training, which had forged them into capable and obedient warriors.
This alone showed how serious Isolde Ashveil was about both training and command.
“Welcome back, My Lord!!”
As soon as the carriage passed through the main gate, the guards bowed deeply, their voices loud and filled with both respect and fear.
Isolde and Nyx stepped out of the carriage and waited at the entrance for Yuan and the others to descend from the sky.
Moments later, Yuan and his companions landed before them. Countess Isolde was still astonished by their ability to fly and could not help but wonder how they accomplished such a feat.
