My Cuckhold System - Chapter 124: Detonate

Chapter 124: Detonate
It swung swung the enlarged fist and slammed into the nearest Verdant Pyre Behemoth’s flank.
Baaammm!
Despite the creature’s liquid nature, the blow carried devastating force.
The Behemoth was launched sideways, smashing into the cavern wall hard enough to fracture stone. Green fire flared wildly around it as it skidded to a halt.
West clicked his tongue.
“Annoying.”
The fallen Behemoth rose quickly, furious rather than defeated as it slammed burning paws slamming into the ground.
Wherever those paws struck, smoldering marks branded the stone.
From those scorched imprints, thick gnarled roots burst forth instantly, writhing like serpents. The vines lunged toward the green creature, attempting to bind it in place.
But as they wrapped around its limbs, they passed through…
The creature’s body rippled and its lower half liquefied entirely as the vines sliced harmlessly through.
It flowed sideways like a wave and reformed once more.
The Verdant Pyre Behemoths were monsters of fire and muscle but this thing wasn’t playing by normal rules.
West inhaled sharply as he reached up instinctively toward his neck, brushing against the pendant resting there.
He hesitated before pulling it off and slipping it into his inventory.
“No way I’m wasting that on you.”
The creature charged again, directly at him this time.
West stepped forward while his mind got to work, thinking of ways to deal with this bothersome situation as he ducked beneath a slashing arm that split apart mid-swing and reformed behind him, aiming for his spine.
One of the Behemoths intercepted, slamming into the creature from the side.
Green liquid sprayed again, sizzling wherever it touched flame.
West jumped backwards, leaving a distance of nearly twenty feet between himself and his initial position to avoid getting doused in the corrosive green liquid.
However, he seemed to noticed that’ll th thing’s body wasn’t purely liquid… it could solidify momentarily to strike.
Which meant it had control over its density… which meant it could be disrupted.
He sidestepped another lunge, delivering a heavy punch straight through its torso. His fist met no resistance, passing through as if punching thick gel.
The creature twisted witg its body spiraling around his arm as it tried to climb up his limb.
West ripped his arm free and leapt back while feeling a stinging sensation across his skin.
The only two reasons he didn’t get burnt too badly was due to how quickly he pulled his arm out and his increased durability from consuming contents from the chalice continously.
“Where is Jax when you need him?” he muttered under his breath.
Jax would’ve frozen it if he was here. His glacial sovereign bloodline was a direct counter to this creature.
But unfortunately, he wasn’t here…
The creature rushed him again, splitting into two thinner forms mid-charge before merging back together.
The Behemoths roared and attacked in tandem, with the greenish flames around their limbs intensifying as they increased output.
One slammed both paws down and the ground fractured as flames exploded upwards like a pillar.
The creature split apart as the flames burst upwards from underneath, completely missing it.
Roots exploded outward in a web-like pattern from the flaming paw marks across the ground while the other VerdantPyreBehemoth lunged at it with its maw agape.
The creature liquefied entirely, flowing between them like a river slipping between rocks.
Then it re-solidified behind West.
Unfortunately, he sensed it a fraction too late.
A hardened green spike shot toward his back…
Twwwhiii~
West pivoted sharply but the spike grazed his side, tearing fabric and a bit of his flesh.
A droplet of blood splashed outwards but fortunately, it wasn’t a deep wound.
Fortunately, this move confirmed things for West…
It confirmed that, it could shift states rapidly from liquid to semi-solid and from semi-solid to liquid…
That meant its cohesion was dynamic… and dynamic cohesion could be disrupted.
West exhaled slowly.
“Alright.”
He extended his hand, gathering energy…
<[ Volt Manipulation Activated ]>
A spark of electricity crackled faintly at his fingertips as the creature charged again with its fist enlarging mid-swing.
West didn’t dodge… instead, he thrust his palm forward.
A concentrated bolt of electricity exploded outward.
CRACK—!
The bolt tore through the creature’s torso and for a split second, nothing happened…
All of a sudden, it’s body convulsed violently. The green mass flickered erratically as its surface rippled out of control.
Instead of reforming smoothly, it began spasming and sections of it lost cohesion entirely.
Its arm tried to solidify but collapsed back into liquid… it attempted to stabilize but failed.
Electricity disrupted molecular cohesion… and whatever unnatural structure held this thing together.
It couldn’t handle the interference.
West didn’t stop there, he increased output sending out chained bolts across the creature’s surface, crackling violently.
The cavern lit up in sharp blue and white flashes as the creature writhed soundlessly.
Its form melted, collapsing completely and spreading across the ground in a quivering puddle of viscous green liquid.
It tried to rise again but each attempt resulted in unstable splashes.
West lowered his hand slowly while the Behemoths approached cautiously with their flames intensifying in case it reformed.
As it twitched weakly, West opened his inventory and selected an item.
He pulled out a thin, rectangular card inscribed with complex runic circuitry that glowed faintly.
It was the explosive card…
He walked forward calmly and dropped it directly onto the trembling puddle.
He stepped back and the Behemoths retreated further.
West raised two fingers.
“Detonate.”
The card activated instantly.
BOOOOOOM!!!
The explosion tore through the cavern causing white-hot light to swallow everything in a violent sphere of force.
The shockwave slammed outward, blasting fragments of blue crystal from the walls.
The puddle of green liquid evaporated instantly, vaporized into nothing under the explosive force as heat rolled through the tunnel like a storm front.
Dust and debris rained from above causing West to shield his face as shards of rock clattered around him.
The Verdant Pyre Behemoths dug their massive paws into the ground to stabilize themselves.
And then…
CRRRRRAAAACK—
A section of the cave path behind them gave way.
The explosion had weakened structural supports embedded in the crystalline wall causing stone to crumble as chunks of cavern ceiling collapsed.
Within seconds, the tunnel West had come through was completely blocked by tons of debris.
