My Cuckhold System - Chapter 244: Ruckus In The Battle Arts Hall

They secured access to study it later.
After about fifteen minutes more of searching, they found a movement based art for bloodline users. This would be suitable for Nina no doubt because she was very slow when it came to close quarter combats.
…
Next, they proceeded to search for suitable battle arts for Jax.
It took over an hour to see anything that worked for both ice and katana. Most were just seperate battle arts.
Until finally they stumbled upon one…
~ Frozen Meridian Saber Art ~
A hybrid art merging swordplay with internal elemental flow… designed for ice bloodlines.
Jax whispered. “…This was made for me.”
West nodded.
There were no arguments here. They scoped the wing deeper and soon spotted another.
Glacial Severance Steps
It was a movement battle art that amplified speed on frozen surfaces.
Jax was practically glowing as he thought about the multitude of ways he could apply it. “I’m learning this.”
“You’re marrying it,” Nina shook her head.
After a couple minutes more, then finally moved onto the summoner wing.
This section felt stranger like older secrets lived here.
Manuals for beast integration… summoned battlefield formations… multi-entity synchronization…
All sorts of arts in relation with summoner, lined the path.
West skipped a lot of arts until a particular title made him pause.
~ Triad Dominion Method ~
His eyes narrowed as he stared at the info. Three-summon resonance art…
“Resonance?” West looked further at the inscriptions on its surface and realized that it synced summoners with their summons in ways that the branches doesn’t.
When he grabbed it to check the contents, he realized they were incomplete. At the last page, it pointed out that the other part was located on a higher floor.
Unfortunately, that floor was restricted to them due to Shadow Reapers current rank.
Laughter suddenly rang out from nearby.
Four awakeners who seemed to have noticed them from their arrival here bumped into them while returning from higher floors.
Their gang jackets were marked with a flame insignia. Burning cloud gang… they were no doubt higher in rank.
One sneered. “Well well.”
“Shadow Reapers.”
Another laughed. “More like bottom dwellers.”
The third added. “Didn’t know starter gangs got library cards.”
Jax turned slowly with a smile. “Oh?”
He tilted his head. “You lot talk a lot for decorative traffic cones.”
West immediately covered his mouth to stop laughing while the expressions of the four immediately turned offended.
“What?”
Jax continued. “You all look like the kind of guys who compare dick sizes in school bathrooms.”
West snorted while Nina actually choked laughing.
One of the gang boys stepped forward furious. “You wanna say that again?”
Jax folded arms. “I said your whole squad looks like failed character customization.”
The four erupted in anguish.
“Yours against mine, we’ll fold every last one of you,” the tallest stepped forward.
Jax cracked his neck. “We don’t even need that.”
“I alone can handle you four.”
West muttered. “We can get banned… don’t fight in here.”
Jax immediately backed down upon hearing that but it only made the four louder.
“Ohhh,” one mocked.
“What was that?”
“Scaredy cat?”
“Yeah that’s what I thought.”
“Weaklings.”
One pushed closer, deliberately bumped Nina’s shoulder as they stepped away.
A hand clamped his shoulder from behind before they could take another step.
CRACK!
A bone shattering sound echoed causing the guy to scream out as his arm twisted.
Before anyone could process what was happening, West leaned close.
“Ohhh sorry.”
“My bad.”
“I just wanted your attention.”
He looked almost concerned.
“I didn’t realize your arm was so weak.”
Then stepped forward with a look of concern like he wanted to help and ’accidentally’ clipped the guy’s leg with his foot.
SNAP~
The knee folded in the wrong angle causing the man to collapse shrieking.
West blinked theatrically. “Oh… my bad.”
“Didn’t even see you there.”
Nina covered her mouth trying not to laugh while Jax held his ribs as his cheeks swelled.
The other three exploded. “You bastard!”
The moment they charged at West, a pressure wave hit.
BOOM.
A tall figure dropped between them with his voice resounding like thunder.
“ENOUGH.”
It was a security awakener.
He looked at the broken man before staring at West with a somehow impressed look.
“What happened?”
West raised both hands. “Terrible accident.”
Jax turned away pretending not to laugh while the security awakener stared.
He did not believe one word.
The three gang members pointed furiously. “He attacked him!”
West shook his head innocently. “Like I said terrible accident. Was only reaching out to inform that he bumped into my teammate… had no idea he had such fragile limbs.”
Security’s eyes shifted to Nina and then to the aggressors.
“You need to be more careful Mr,” his eyes moved back to West.
“Absolutely, please, here is my card, I’ll handle the hospital bills,” West approached and handed his card over to one of them.
“You…”
Before they could protest, the security official interrupted. “Looks like it’s just a misunderstanding.”
He proceeded to disperse everyone in order to avoid traffic and the four had to step out with their injured teammate, all furious and unable to do anything.
Jax burst laughing while Nina leaned against a shelf laughing too.
West looked down at the manual still in hand. “…Where were we?”
Jax wheezed. “You accidentally crippled a man.”
West shrugged. “He had weak bones.”
Nina pointed at him. “You are a menace.”
West grinned. “And we haven’t even picked my battle art yet.”
The aftermath of the encounter inside the Awakened Battle Arts Hall didn’t linger for long.
West finalized his choices as he stood before a hovering crystalline archive with its surface flickering with layered inscriptions.
“Alright,” he muttered, scrolling through the projection. “Let’s lock this in.”
First, he picked the Triad Dominion Method.
Although incomplete, even in its current state, it resonated with him in a way nothing else had.
He selected it and went for a perception-based art next.
Spectral Familiar Link: Ocular Sync Variant.
This one allowed the user to temporarily see through the senses of their summons.
