Chapter 107: Chapter 75: Little Bear Panties, Jiangg Ning’s First Clue
Once his eyes adjusted, he saw it was Jiangg Yao.
But she didn’t seem to have seen him there at all.
The next moment.
Jiangg Yao reached for her waistband and started pulling down her panties… then plopped right down onto Chen Yuan’s lap.
’Huh?’
’Does the toilet seat have an automatic heating function?’
She squinted, thinking for a moment that it was actually quite comfortable.
A few seconds later.
“AHHHH!!!!???”
…
…
How unbelievably awkward!
Jiangg Yao was so startled it almost scared her cold away. She sat on the sofa, her face beet red. Her entire body felt like a boiled shrimp, and she didn’t dare lift her head.
Head bowed, she took small sips of her second cup of cold medicine.
She didn’t dare to even think about what had just happened. Her heart was racing, and if you looked closely, you could see that the hand she held her cup with was trembling.
Chen Yuan was equally at a loss for words. He could almost still feel the sensation on his lap—that smoothness and elasticity… It wasn’t something he’d be forgetting anytime soon.
The sensation of that instant was indescribable.
As he watched Jiangg Yao finish her medicine, his gaze drifted down uncontrollably to her perky bottom as she sat on the sofa.
’Just now…’
“You’re still looking!” Jiangg Yao, mortified, shot him an angry glare.
Chen Yuan quickly looked away. It had been subconscious, a man’s instinct. He couldn’t help it.
“Are you feeling any better?”
“Much better…” Jiangg Yao set her cup on the coffee table. She lifted her chin and thought for a moment, then blinked as she gazed at Chen Yuan and asked tentatively in a small voice, “You didn’t see anything, did you?”
“I didn’t see a thing. The bathroom was too dark,” Chen Yuan said, shaking his head frantically.
“Good.”
Jiangg Yao bit her glossy lip, looking relieved.
After a long moment.
They both fell silent for a while, each seeming to nervously rack their brain for a way to subtly change the subject.
Jiangg Yao suddenly spoke in a low voice, “Is it childish to wear those kinds of panties, Little Young Master? You don’t find me childish, do you?”
“Of course not! The little bear panties are cute, especially with the two round ears. I wear SpongeBob boxers sometimes. It’s nothing, really!”
“You said you didn’t see anything!” Jiangg Yao flared up, rushing over to Chen Yuan and grabbing his ear. Her eyebrows shot up in anger. “You lied to me.”
“Oww—I only saw the panties! You had your back to me when you were pulling them up, so I couldn’t help but see them. I shut my eyes the moment I realized what was happening!”
But Jiangg Yao wasn’t listening to his explanation. She tormented him mercilessly for a little while longer before her anger finally subsided, and she didn’t feel quite so embarrassed anymore.
’If Little Young Master had really seen everything, I’d never be able to face him again.’
…
「At seven in the evening.」
Jiangg Yao was back at her own apartment. She’d been out all day, and if she didn’t get home soon, she’d probably get an earful from her sister.
Back home, Jiangg Yao felt exceptionally lighthearted. The gloom that had been hanging over her for the past few days—caused by her sister trying to seduce Chen Yuan—seemed to have mostly dissipated after spending the day with him.
’Love really is sweet. It can chase away any bad mood.’
When she arrived, Jiangg Ning wasn’t back yet. She was probably still out with Ms. Qin and the others.
So, Jiangg Yao went to her studio in the spare bedroom, practiced the piano for a while, and then wrote out the schedule for tomorrow’s livestream.
’Oh, right!’
Halfway through writing, Jiangg Yao suddenly remembered that she needed to edit the photos they had taken.
Jiangg Yao unlocked her phone, connected it to her computer with a data cable, and opened up professional photo-editing software. She began sorting through all the pictures they’d taken over the past few days, one by one.
There were some from a few days ago when they went shopping and tried on matching outfits, taking pictures in front of the mirror.
There were photos from the comic-con today, and from their walk in the park.
And she’d snapped one last time at Chen Yuan’s house during a heavy downpour; the atmosphere had been perfect.
As she browsed through the photos, she would stop at each one, cupping her chin in her hand and studying it for a long time with a sweet smile. These pictures were the progress bar of their relationship, a digital memory book.
She became completely lost in the memories as she looked through them.
CLICK—
The front door opened.
Jiangg Ning stood there, laden with bags of all sizes. She had clearly come back from a successful haul, and she was panting with exhaustion.
After running around all day, her legs felt like jelly.
She quickly swapped her shoes for slippers and headed excitedly toward the spare bedroom, carrying a huge pile of snacks.
’Hee hee, let’s see if I can’t stuff this little glutton Yaoyao this time,’ she thought.
’Jiangg Ning is back!’
…
“Yaoyao, I bought you some hawthorn cakes!” The sudden, excited shout made Jiangg Yao jump. With lightning speed, she closed the photo viewing window.
“Sis, you’re back?”
She turned her head, a flustered smile on her face.
“I am! Come give your big sister a hug.”
“Mwah~ Love you the most.”
Jiangg Yao leaned in, feigning a casual air as she kissed her sister’s cheek.
But she failed to notice one thing.
Jiangg Ning’s eyes were still fixed on the computer screen. In the instant she had opened the door, she thought she’d seen an incredibly familiar face appear on it…
