My Online Girlfriend Has a Twin Sister - Chapter 77 - 58: Daily Life 3

Chapter 77: Chapter 58: Daily Life 3
As she got closer, Jiangg Yao immediately covered her nose and furrowed her pretty brows.
“I didn’t drink. Someone splashed it on me.”
“Huh?”
“I’m going to take a shower first. I’ll tell you about it when I get back. I’ve had the worst luck!”
Jiangg Ning took off her top, holding it in her hand, a haggard look on her face.
…
In the early morning, warm sunlight streamed through the gaps in the window, casting a long patch of light on the clean floor.
In the cozy room, the left side was piled with all sorts of dolls and stuffed animals, their messy arrangement giving the space a very lived-in feel.
On the right, however, was a small, tidy desk. On it sat a glass of plain water and an unfinished copy of *Rashomon* with an exquisite fountain pen marking the last-read page. The desk lamp’s head was slightly bowed, as if leaning down to kiss the cluster of succulents in the small, oval pot.
On the soft, large bed, two identical-looking women slept soundly, the thick blanket pulled mostly askew. The woman in the black slip was barely half-covered, revealing her slender shoulders and the gentle rise of her bust before it disappeared beneath the blanket.
The other woman’s sleeping posture, however, was not nearly as elegant. One of her legs was hiked up high, and she was leaning diagonally against her sister, her forehead pressed to her neck, her warm breath puffing softly against her shoulder.
Beneath the gray blanket, four small, fair feet were intertwined, making it impossible to tell them apart. All were equally pink and smooth, as aesthetically pleasing as carved works of art.
“Mmm~”
Jiangg Ning let out a soft hum, opening her drowsy eyes and ruffling her disheveled hair.
As she woke up a bit more, she tried to get up but felt a sudden pain in her head. She looked helplessly at Jiangg Yao beside her.
’Sigh… she’s lying on my hair again.’
After washing up and casually applying some light makeup, Jiangg Ning looked at herself in the mirror, reasonably satisfied.
She had gone to bed late, leaving faint dark circles under her eyes, but it was nothing a little concealer couldn’t fix.
She even made a point of applying eyeliner to make her eyes look bigger.
However, as she opened her closet to pick out an outfit, Jiangg Ning’s outstretched hand froze in mid-air. It was as if she could hear a certain someone’s words echoing in her ears.
“Dress more conservatively at school from now on!”
On some strange impulse, Jiangg Ning pulled her hand back, her gaze shifting to the thin down jacket she had bought last year and never worn.
’This doesn’t mean I’m listening to him!’
’It just… might be cold outside today…’
…
“December 17th, sunny.”
At Lanjing University, in her office.
Jiangg Ning wrote down the line and paused to think for a moment.
To sort out her feelings, she had decided to officially start keeping a diary. By recording her emotional state, she hoped to accurately determine whether she truly liked Chen Yuan or not.
Looking back on it later, she might glean some useful information.
Perhaps she would find her answer.
December 17, Sunny
Today, I was busy all day, mainly handling various tasks left by the previous Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee. I didn’t have time to prepare for my classes until the afternoon.
Chen Yuan… Okay, fine. I thought of his name a total of nine times. I wasn’t looking forward to class, but it seems like teaching is my only chance to see him.
It’s weird. Why do I feel like I have to see him? He’s just some clueless college kid. Jiangg Ning, oh, Jiangg Ning, get a grip. This won’t do. I have to keep myself busy.
…
December 18, Cloudy
I’m absolutely speechless! After writing in my diary last night, I went home to rest and actually dreamed about Chen Yuan. And it was one of those really embarrassing, blush-inducing dreams.
Just thinking about it now makes my face burn, and it’s the middle of winter! Jiangg Ning, what is wrong with you?!
I promised myself I wouldn’t think about him, but on top of my mind wandering to him all day, I have to dream about him at night, too. But… I’ve mostly forgotten the details. I think I remember it getting to the most crucial part before the scene just cut out. Could it be that I’m so inexperienced I can’t even dream up the good parts? (crossed out)
Thankfully, I have self-control even in my dreams. My subconscious mind hurriedly stopped it at the most critical moment. Way to go, Jiangg Ning. Rational even in your dreams.
P.S. What’s even more embarrassing is that I ran into Chen Yuan during an open lecture today. I didn’t even dare to look at him. If people found out that the role-model instructor, Jiangg, was secretly like this…
…
December 19, Cloudy turning to Overcast
Woke up bright and early and made a big breakfast.
The student union held a meeting, and I went to assign some tasks. A ton of students were there, including Chen Yuan. He looked really handsome, and he was standing a mile away from that Liu Tingyue, which made me inexplicably happy…
During the meeting, Chen Yuan kept staring over at me. He probably noticed my change in attire. He even winked at me!
Honestly, was he flirting with me? To do that in front of so many people is so bold. What if someone saw…
Though, my heart did seem to skip a beat at that moment.
All in all, a perfect day.
…
「On the fourth day.」
When Jiangg Ning woke up that morning, she had a sudden realization.
’Wait a minute. Why is my diary filled with nothing but Chen Yuan?’
