Chapter 99: Chapter 70: Do You Like Nuns or Succubuses? (Part 2)
As he was spacing out, a soft scoff suddenly sounded by his ear.
He turned his head to find Jiangg Yao glaring at him, her eyes full of anger.
Her arms were crossed, her expression indignant. She furrowed her brow and shot a subtle glance at the high school student before her eyes locked onto Chen Yuan’s face.
“Is she that pretty?”
“No, I just recognize the character from the source material, so it was surprising to see.”
“Is that so?” Jiangg Yao’s face was cold for a moment, then she suddenly bit her lip and broke into a perfectly sweet smile. “It seems I’ve been slacking in my duties as a girlfriend. I’ve never cosplayed for you in private, which is why you’re paying so much attention to other girls~”
A few passersby caught a fleeting glimpse of Jiangg Yao’s sweet smile and were so stunned they nearly broke their necks rubbernecking.
“In that case, you can just tell me what you want to see, Young Master. A nun, a JK, a teacher, a spider-girl, a Succubus…” Her voice dropped to a whisper, so low that she had to rise onto her tiptoes to speak right into his ear, her warm breath tickling his skin. “I can cosplay any of them.”
“I was wrong.” Chen Yuan could feel the bone-chilling cold behind Jiangg Yao’s words and immediately caved.
“You did nothing wrong. It’s my fault.”
“I’m truly sorry. From now on, I’ll only have eyes for you.”
“You said it, not me. I didn’t force you, little Young Master. I’m not that petty when it comes to relationships.”
“Of course, of course.”
Satisfied, Jiangg Yao reached out, hooked her arm through his, and snuggled up against him affectionately.
’And she truly believed it. If she weren’t so magnanimous, she would have dropped all pretenses and had it out with her sister yesterday, instead of holding back until now.’
’Speaking of which, she hadn’t even gotten his first kiss! Every time Jiangg Yao thought about it at night, she’d bolt upright in bed, clenching her fists, wishing she could just drag the sleeping Jiangg Ning out for a proper, no-holds-barred girls’ duel!’
Jiangg Yao’s Fantasy:
“You dare kiss him, huh?! You dare…”
“I was wrong, Yaoyao! I’ll never dare to again.”
“You think there’ll be a next time?!”
“No… I misspoke! I get it, I’ll remember. Chen Yuan is your private property. I won’t even touch him…”
“Hmph. As long as you understand.”
“Can you let go of my hair now? Ouch—that hurts.”
…
…
“Hee hee.”
As the two of them entered the convention hall, Chen Yuan suddenly heard Jiangg Yao’s quiet giggle and asked in confusion, “What is it?”
“N-nothing.”
Jiangg Yao quickly composed herself, snapping out of her fantasy.
Inside the convention, besides the cosplayers in all sorts of amazing outfits, there were also plenty of regular visitors like Jiangg Yao and Chen Yuan.
Before long, Chen Yuan’s head was spinning. All sorts of anime characters were walking back and forth around him.
It was early winter, yet two girls were dressed in black ninja shoes. A Sasuke in a white robe and black skirt had a thick purple rope wrapped twice around their waist, and a Naruto in an orange jumpsuit clutched a blue crystal ball with a paper cutout swirling around it to imitate a vortex.
Princess Mononoke, Kagura, Captain Levi…
Chen Yuan even saw a woman with milk-tea brown hair wearing white lace gloves and bunny ears. She was both beautiful and cute, but the key feature was the breathtaking curve of her chest. If her bow tie hadn’t been made deliberately large, any children present would have had to avert their eyes.
A circle of photographers surrounded the bunny-eared woman, taking pictures as she diligently struck various poses for them.
“Asuna! I want a picture! I want a picture!”
Jiangg Yao had also noticed the woman and suddenly became very excited. She didn’t even register Chen Yuan’s gaze; her eyes were locked on the cosplayer. “Her figure is amazing,” she said, her eyes glinting with envy. “I wish I had her waist-to-hip ratio…”
“Want me to take the picture?”
“Yes, I want to go ’collect a stamp’.”
“’Collect a stamp’?”
Chen Yuan didn’t understand what the term meant, but Jiangg Yao was already walking over, attracting the attention of many photographers. She went up and quietly spoke to the cosplayer. After listening, the bunny-eared woman nodded repeatedly and gave a friendly V-sign.
Jiangg Yao pouted slightly as she cozied up right next to her, completely unabashed as she got close to the beautiful woman.
She was so close she almost kissed her on the cheek.
Seeing this, Chen Yuan took out his phone and crouched down to take the photo.
The people around them didn’t seem to find it strange at all. It was as if girls being affectionate with each other was perfectly normal. Far from being put off, they seemed to think the two women standing together were a feast for the eyes.
“Are you done? Let me see.”
Jiangg Yao minced back over, habitually took his hand, and leaned against his shoulder, wrapping an arm around him. This gesture made quite a few guys nearby look over. After a single glance confirmed they were a couple, their expressions became a mixture of envy, regret, and even outright jealousy.
’Such a beautiful girl, and she’s already taken. What a shame.’
’Otherwise, many of them were eager to try hitting on her. It was no loss if they got rejected, but getting her Green Bubble would have been the ultimate prize. Jiangg Yao was attractive in every way, from her height to her face. If she were their girlfriend, they’d be smiling in their sleep.’
“Hey, this isn’t bad. It actually came out pretty nice.”
Jiangg Yao took the phone and glanced at the screen, a flicker of surprise in her eyes. Her little Young Master seemed like such a typical clueless guy; she’d expected a quick snap from one of those “fatal angles” that made a person’s legs look short and their neck thick. But the result was surprisingly good. He had captured both her and the other woman looking cute, and he’d even found pretty good lighting and angles.
It was definitely a keeper. She could even skip photoshopping it and just tweak the exposure a bit.
Jiangg Yao thought to herself, ’I’ve discovered another one of the Young Master’s good points!’
