My Servant System - Chapter 1501 - 1500: Welcome Ceremony (5)

Chapter 1501: Chapter 1500: Welcome Ceremony (5)
Spinning me around before pulling me back into her chest, Anput was not holding back at all as she danced with me amidst the crowd of farmers, showing off her impeccable body control and making sure to enjoy herself as much as she could while also not giving everyone around us too much of a show…
Which was hard, because the energy she brought with her to the dance floor was one that was very ’incompatible’ with my body in a dress like this, so unless she took us into a slow waltz sometime soon there was definitely a show to be seen if you were looking.
And many people were looking, though whether it was just because they wanted to see my chest bounce around or if they were admiring our energy and affection for one another deep into this round of music was left up for debate.
I could feel the lustful gazes on me as we danced, just as I could feel them being directed at my mate as well, but I could also feel the admiration that was just as present… although it was nowhere near as all encompassing as the lust was.
Especially with the liquor flowing a little through all of our veins to lower the inhibitions we had for these sorts of things; I wasn’t as quick to cover myself or glare at someone being particularly obvious, just as they weren’t as concerned with being caught like they normally would.
It was just that kind of balance that was being struck right now, and the further we danced the further that liquor dropped our tolerances even more, to the point that Anput was openly shifting her hand from my waist down below to where it should be, at least not in public.
Most of the couples around us were just as excited as we were, and there were definitely first time pairings being made during the dance, some of the farmers getting to know one another a little more as they took this opportunity and tried to run with it.
The music kept everyone’s feet moving smoothly while the promise of good food soon egged us on to expend as much energy as possible so that the meal would taste even better, causing the minutes to stretch into such a wonderful and warm time spent dancing.
Yet it also ended far quicker than I was hoping, with the Demons setting down their instruments when the cooks all shouted out for our attention, and although the food was delicious I did still want to dance… especially now that Anput had my blood humming with the way she moved me around.
“I so desperately want to suggest we head back home and continue this dance in the privacy of our bedroom, but… I am famished… sadly for more than just you, my love~!”
Offering me her arm and walking me over to the hastily set up dining area, we plopped down on one of the many blankets and accepted a large platter of freshly carved meat, biscuits, sliced fruits and vegetables, alongside a pitcher of wine that had that warm aroma I was becoming quite fond of.
Jahi and Leone joined us not long after, the Demoness carrying her own pitcher alongside their platter with a clear thirst for the wine while the Vampire seemed hungry for something else, her red cheeks and flickering ruby eyes making it clear she got the same treatment I had.
Without much thought I took a wineglass and quietly sliced open my wrist, keeping it somewhat hidden from view as I filled it with blood before healing myself, offering it to the Vampire and watching in amusement as she blushed even more.
Before we could even really settle in and enjoy the meal we were joined by a few people, the first of which being Satanya while the next was the Foxkin merchant Lady Mai as well as the scarred, tired chocolate skinned merchant Lady Anilah.
The three women all asked to join us, interrupting this moment we were about to have, and while I wanted to tell them off – especially Satanya – the whole point of this was to mingle, so we reluctantly had to welcome them to our part of the dining area.
Thankfully both Lady Mai and Lady Anilah were more intrigued with learning about us and talking about the future than they were in trying to get into one of our beds, forcing Satanya to take the more diplomatic route as she fulfilled her role as the Clans ’Ambassador’ for the time being.
“I suppose I might as well discuss this now, whilst the city is still under development and relatively ’untouched’. That parcel of land I wanted? My interest is on something nearby the center where I can build my own compound; large enough to have some nice gardens and a few trees, but small enough that I don’t have to endure immense taxes year after year. It’s quiet out here, and I imagine it’ll remain that way considering the location…”
The Foxkin swirled her wine around before smirking at the chocolate skinned woman as she added “Besides, life on the road gets a little boring sometimes, so having a place to call home would be nice~! Not all of us have the privilege of an Arcane Tower… right, Lady Anilah~?”, causing our arcane focused merchant to roll her eyes.
“Property passed down generation to generation isn’t something you can really besmirch me with, Lady Mai. It’s well maintained, functional, and I contribute quite a lot to the Empire. Speaking of taxes…”
That immediately had Lady Mai stiffen a little, causing the four of us to raise our brows as we turned to look towards her, earning ourselves a little cough before she said “Anyways, I wanted to make sure that was alright with you, Lady Asmodia? Were you already planning on making use of the area around here, or is it still ’free’?”
Jahi just stared at her for a few moments more, likely wondering if she had made the right decision to offer up land to her for relatively cheap, yet at the same time it was still land she had to buy, so…
“We’ll need to look at the plans, negotiate price and then discuss the style. I am willing to give you the architectural freedoms to do many things, Lady Mai, but I want to make sure you understand that you cannot raise a – for example – gold tower in the middle of a city constructed primarily from dark wood and stone. There are some ’rules’ to follow.”
“But of course~! Thank you, Lady Asmodia; that assuages some of my worries~! A toast then? To the future?”
Raising her wineglass and clinking it against Jahi’s, the Foxkin drained it, gave us a bow and excused herself, but not before winking at Lady Anilah as she sauntered away; the sway in her hips and swishing of that bushy tail could not tell a clearer story… and it was one that our Lady Anilah was somewhat plagued by as she groaned softly before draining her own glass.
Whatever their history was, it was definitely interesting and something I wouldn’t mind learning more about, but for now the scarred merchant wanted to discuss a few more things with us – me in particular – about the enchanted goods and if we could settle on set dates for her to come around and collect everything before heading back to the Capital.
