My breathing was still somewhat labored as I laid on the bed, the cool caress of my healing magic getting balanced out by the deep presses of heat that came from Leone’s more precise healing magic, both of which slowly got me back to normal.
“Was… there a reason..?”
Lounging beside me with a extremely satisfied expression, Jahi yawned lazily and kissed my temple before murmuring “You looked sexy as all~ hell beneath the sheets…”, which was definitely not the reason I was expecting.
“Do I need one~? My beautiful and masochistic wife who has told me time and time again that I can use her like a slave if I want to… Obviously I sometimes just want to treat you like some lowly slave~!”
I groaned softy as her hand sunk into my thigh, and after giving me another kiss she added “Honestly, I was just a little ’excited’ because of what happened down at the site of the ’massacre’. If you must know, your wonderful and perfect Demoness just snagged the city a nice~ little profit of a few hundred Gold~!”
That actually was surprising, and I was more than willing to move past my aching body as I instead focused on the sudden wealth my wife had acquired for not only us but also the city, which was going to be of immense help pretty soon.
“I know we already had our hands full to begin with since we’ve been trying to settle them all in and get everything situated, but I honestly wouldn’t be against Anput forging up a suite of weapons to get treated and enchanted so that we could secure another nice ’egg’ for ourselves.”
“Mm… On the other hand, we could also treat those weapons as a ’gift’ to the merchants? Something to endear ourselves to them and further secure a relationship between us? Whether they sell it immediately or keep it for themselves matters not.”
The Demoness gave me a big smile as she rubbed her nose against mine, praising me for my ’amazing~ thinking~’ and clearly trying to stir me up and get me thinking about another round, but sadly for her it wasn’t just the two of us in the bed.
“Probably just do a bunch of daggers then; bone alloyed with metal of some kind, meaning we can either treat the two materials separately or together depending on what Leone has on hand. Enchantments should be identical as well so as to not show off favoritism… It would definitely work, but you also have to hope that they’ll be here for another… three or four days.”
Jahi planted a kiss on my brow when she realized I wasn’t going to let her have her way with me again, and after she did so she sat up and stretched before replying to Anput, who was lounging at the foot of the bed staring at us all with obvious interest.
“That isn’t difficult. I’ll just suggest another round of discussion between me and them, iron out the details, get some contracts drawn up by the Beliali’s and see if they are actually worth the time and effort in the process.
Ah, speaking of time and effort, one of the merchants is going to come back around with a whole wardrobe of clothing for you three to select from. He – one Mister Vanyiik – supposedly designed the feather dresses that your Mother wears, Leone? Did you ever hear of him?”
Looking up from my body, the Vampire blinked a few times before pursing her lips as she thought for a few moments, eventually saying “Vanyiik… the name sounds familiar, but I never met the designer, just the seamstresses. Mother had a few designers she favored yet she rarely ever met with them to discuss something she wanted…”
“Well, he’ll be returning with a nice array of dresses and the like for each of you to try and enjoy, though honestly I need to figure out which one of the merchants down there specializes in lingerie and the clothing that matters…”
“Are you capable of not being horny for more than just five seconds?”
“When the day comes that you somehow lose all this ass and stop snipping at me like that, maybe~!”
She accentuated that with a smack on my hip that made me glare at her, yet at the same time I felt a swell of pride and happiness at that since it was just the reassurance I always craved from any of them.
“Alright~! So, we’re gonna do that, but I also have to sit down and start figuring out wages and the like… Oh, we also have a large amount of food, so I want to get a building constructed somewhere here in the center dedicated to storing any and all foodstuffs we have.
That means you need to figure out an enchantment that is cold enough to keep meats and other things fresh while also ensuring they don’t get frozen and ’ruined’ by saturation… and it also means we need to start getting a guesstimate going for the harvest and what it’ll yield for us.”
Anput just let out a soft snort as she rolled off the bed, waving her hand at that and getting clothed as she prepared to flee, though Jahi was just behind her as she began to ’reprimand’ the Jackalkin for her ’insubordination’, which obviously only resulted in one thing…
Leaving Leone and I on the bed meant the Vampire gave me a pleading look that also led to a similar thing, so with a slightly exaggerated roll of my eyes I pulled her down onto me and helped her, enjoying the gentle sex after having been ravaged by a gluttonous Demoness.
We didn’t have a long time to enjoy ourselves – sadly – but the time we did have was well spent, especially since it concluded in the bath where we had relaxed ourselves completely, only stopping when the sun reached a point that made me feel like the day was being wasted.
