My Talent's Name Is Generator - Chapter 848: Abyss Adaptation

Chapter 848: Abyss Adaptation
Two days had passed since my meeting with Xeron. In that short time the situation across the seventy-two bases had stabilized faster than I expected.
My summons were constantly moving between the bases, appearing and disappearing like shadows across the galaxy. Ragnar, Knight, Lyrate, and Ash had taken my orders quite literally. Anyone who came even remotely close to investigating the bases was warned once.
If they stayed, they died.
Word spread quickly when entire scouting groups vanished without a trace. Because of that, the surrounding space had grown eerily quiet.
For now.
I floated high in the skies of Abor, the cold wind brushing past my face as I looked down at the empty city below. The massive streets, once filled with Hollow Star personnel and traitors working with the Eternals, were now silent. Every last one of them had been captured during the takeover.
None of them were allowed to remain in the cities. Instead, I had moved them all to a prison island I created in the middle of Abor’s vast ocean.
With my current runic knowledge, constructing a proper containment system was not difficult. Layers of runic formations surrounded the island, locking space, suppressing energy flow, and restricting movement.
Even a Master rank fighter would find escaping impossible. Before placing them there, I had devoured every fragment of law they possessed.
Most of them dropped straight down to Master rank after that. Then I placed demon guards around the prison.
For now they were prisoners.
Later… they would have their use.
My attention shifted away from the city as I slowly exhaled. Something strange had been happening over the past two days.
My body was reacting to Essence more and more violently. At random moments, a silver glow would suddenly surround me.
Every single time it happened, the surrounding Essence would begin moving toward me instinctively, as if answering some silent command.
Each time I had to consciously suppress it.
Force the Essence away.
What made it even stranger was that the violet Essence I controlled behaved completely normally. Whenever I actively used my violet Essence, the violet glow never appeared.
It only manifested at random moments… when I wasn’t trying to control anything.
I frowned slightly as I looked down at my hand. Even now, the surrounding Essence particles were slowly drifting toward me.
The Saint threshold was getting closer.
I could feel it more clearly with each passing hour.
But reaching it was not simply a matter of power. There were still conditions I had to meet — conditions Amun had set for me. And the most difficult of them all was the expansion of my soul to three hundred and thirty-three feet.
My mind drifted back to the words he had spoken.
“All of your laws must reach Major Level Five. If you intend to acquire additional laws, you should do so now and bring each of them to that threshold. Your physical stats must advance from Omega to Pre-Origin. Your soul height must reach three hundred and thirty-three feet. And you must accumulate one hundred million merit points.”
I exhaled slowly.
At the moment, I was nowhere close to fulfilling those requirements.
None of my laws had reached Major Level Five yet. My merit points were still far from the hundred million mark. And even after pushing my Psynapse past nine thousand, my body still hadn’t advanced from Omega to Pre-Origin.
Ten thousand. That was the next threshold I was aiming for.
If my understanding was correct, reaching that level of Psynapse might trigger the next transformation of my body.
At least… that was my guess.
As for the soul expansion, that problem was even more complicated. Growing the soul was never a straightforward process, and forcing it could be extremely dangerous. For now, I could only focus on strengthening everything step by step.
I let out another breath and opened my system interface.

The status window hovered in front of me as I scanned through the various lines of information. Some of my stats had increased slightly after the fights and Essence infusion. A few skills had also progressed, though not dramatically. Still, every small increase mattered now.
My gaze moved through the list slowly before another thought surfaced in my mind.
Ash.
Two days ago, while talking with him, I had realised that I had not taken a trait from Ash yet and so I did. A small smile formed on my face as I recalled it.
Abyss Adaptation.
At the time I had only tested it briefly, just enough to confirm what it did. But I hadn’t properly explored it yet.
I raised my hand slightly in front of me.
“Let’s see how well this works…”
The moment I activated the trait, my body trembled once. Just a deep internal shiver, like something inside me had suddenly aligned.
Then it happened.
Thin violet runes flashed across my essence channels beneath my skin. They moved rapidly through my entire body, mapping every pathway where energy flowed. For a brief moment, the channels glowed like a web of violet lightning.
Then the runes vanished.
The Abyss Core reacted immediately. Deep within my Dawn Core, the dark core pulsed once.
I pulled on it.
Deathmist surged upward. A dense wave of the black energy rushed through my channels like a flood breaking through a dam.
Normally, Deathmist would corrode everything it touched.
But now…
My body accepted it.
The mist flowed through my channels smoothly, as if those pathways had always been meant to carry it. The next moment it burst out of my body.
Black flames erupted around me. Thick waves of Deathmist rolled off my body, swirling outward like dark fire. The sky around me dimmed as the mist spread in slow spirals.
I looked down at my hand. For a moment I barely recognized it. Dark veins ran beneath my skin, completely black like rivers of shadow. Even my nails had turned jet black, sharp and metallic in appearance.
Yet there was no corrosion or corruption from deathmist. My entire body was wrapped in burning black Deathmist.
The only color that remained visible on me…
Were my glowing violet eyes.
