My Ultimate Sign-in System Made Me Invincible - Chapter 378: The Time Has Come

Chapter 378: The Time Has Come
What Liam actually wants to learn isn’t how Void Beasts passively absorb dark energy but what they use to absorb the dark energy. If he can get information on the method used by the Void Beasts to passively absorb dark energy.
Of course, it will be difficult but when has difficulty ever stopped him? This might be the first actual obstacle on his journey so far and he intends to overcome it. He won’t back down no matter the level of difficulty. And the word, impossible, doesn’t exist in his dictionary.
“So, what exactly do you want to know?” The Voidling asked telepathically.
“I want to know how exactly your kind absorb dark energy. What organ, tissue or method is used? I want details,” Liam replied immediately.
“Seeing that you’re already awakened and have achieved a level of evolution that no one from the myriad races in the universe has ever achieved before, I know that whoever or whatever it is that is behind you, must have told you about everything. But you’re mistaken about something. We don’t absorb dark energy. Even we, the cosmic administrators of this universe, can’t go against the laws,” the Voidling said, causing Liam to frown a little. But he didn’t say anything and allowed the Voidling to continue its explanation.
“What we actually do anchoring ourselves to it. By doing that, we achieve resonance with the energy that hold together the fabric of this universe’s realities,” the Voidling explained.
It looked at Liam and saw that he was becoming even more confused and it continued explaining. Like it had said in the beginning, this was never going to be easy.
It hopes this human that’s full of surprises, still have more surprises in store for it, and comprehend everything it’s talking about.
“To explain better, we anchor ourselves to the background fabric of the universe, essentially plugging ourselves into reality itself. This way, as long as the universe exists, we don’t starve. The organ that does this is the Void Anchor Core. The Core matches the vibration of the dark energy, stabilizes itself by syncing with the universe’s baseline energy, which is the dark energy, allowing the energy flows around it, not into it. One final thing, what we feed on is entropy. We do this to stabilise parts of the universe that are decaying, collapsing or unstable. And dark energy provides the framework. It’s not the food.”
“Do you understand everything I just said?” The Voidling asked.
“Give me a minute,” Liam replied, taking his time to process everything he just heard.
It all sounds like some hocus pocus. At least, that’s what it’s supposed to sound like to others, but not to Liam, because what the Voidling had just said matches exactly with the laws already put in place in the universe.
Thinking about it carefully and remembering the part that the system said that the Void Beasts’ job is to make sure that the universe doesn’t collapse, then this all starts making sense.
But it raised a question; how is Liam expected to use this information given to him by the Voidling to bypass the restriction? Because for one, there’s no way even with all of his advanced technology he can create an organ like the Void Anchor Core.
But that isn’t going to be a problem for him, because he already has something that would perform the function of the organ; the Origin Devouring Body.
This was exactly the reason why he received the constitution in the first place. The constitution would take on the role and do what the organ in the Void Beasts, does.
Now, the problem is how to correctly do the replacement or substitution. How can he plug himself into the background fabric of his universe? That was going to be the difficult part in all of this.
The Origin Devouring Body can devour laws and other abstract things, but what he would need to be able to see what he’s devouring before he can do that. Also, the entire process would be very dangerous for him and he must be very careful, so that he doesn’t kill himself.
Plugging oneself into the fabric of reality and syncing with the universe’s baseline energy isn’t something he can just do on the snap of a finger.
Liam thought about it hard, making a simple plan in his mind on how he’s going to go about this. He needs to be able to see the laws and have a way to manipulate them, before using his Origin Devouring Body to devour and take control of it, or them.
Just thinking about plugging himself into the fabric of reality was sending chills down his spine, and also making him feel all giddy.
He continued thinking and he felt that maybe he doesn’t need to actually plug himself like the Void Beasts do it. Doing that would make him as helpless as them. What he actually need to do is to take full control of it, but the problem is how he’s going to do that.
Instantly, Liam remembered one of the talents he received, the Dao Array Eyes. Just the name alone already tells him what the talent can do but the description makes it even better.
Now, the question is if the talent works in his universe and the answer to that is… yes. Which means that he can use it to see the laws and manipulate them a little, before using his Origin Devouring Body.
But there’s still the constraint of energy needed. Liam sighed when he thought of this. It was starting to become really complicated for him, but he’s never going to give up.
Liam has spent more than ten minutes thinking of solutions to the situation he now found himself in. He decided that he would be needing the system’s help.
“System, I’m sure you already have a solution, right?” He asked internally.
[Naturally, Host. The solution is to fuse all your talents and constitutions.]
“Hmmm… That’s strange,” Liam frowned. “I’m very sure that you could had simply told me about everything the Voidling said, without having me make the trip. You can’t tell me that you didn’t know. While I might not know much about you, I know of how powerful you are. So,.you can’t tell me that you didn’t know all these. So, why did you force me to make the trip?”
This is something that has been bothering him after he heard what the Voidling said. He felt that the system definitely had the knowledge but he had no idea why it forced him to make the trip.
[You’re right, host. I could had simply told you everything and save you from making the trip, but the truth is that the purpose of this trip isn’t because of the measly information from the Voidling, but because of the relationship you will build with it. Also, if you dare to even take control of the universe’s law without their permission, they will destroy you and your race, sending you into nothingness. The importance of the trip is layered and you will understand as thing progresses in the future.]
Liam felt a chill down his spine when he heard the part about his race being destroyed. For a race that has cosmic level perception, destroying Earth would even be easier than breathing for them.
Remembering how the Voidling had reacted to his presence the first time, he understood why the system had forced him to make the trip. It was more than necessary.
Now, infusing all of his rewards—the talents and constitutions. It’s been a while since he’d been waiting to hear that.
He has quite a bit of rewards waiting to be infused. The Origin Devouring Body, Dao Array Eyes, Abyssal Dragon Spine and the Heart of 18 Magic Circles.
They are not much but they are extremely terrifying talents that would cause anyone to fall to their knees. And finally it was time to make them his.
“System, how do I go about the infusions?” Liam asked.
[You will need to go to the Grand Universe. It’s going to be very dangerous. Take the Voidling with you, it will be of great help. If you tell it that you’re going to where there’s tons of spirit stones and mana crystals, it will gladly follow you. As for how you will get there, the void that the Void Beasts sleeps in is connected to the Grand Universe. With the Voidling leading the way, you won’t be get lost in a dimension of infinteness.]
Liam nodded slowly, taking note of everything the system said. He turned his attention to the Voidling and smiled internally to himself. He couldn’t help but wonder how the Grand Universe is going to look like and how it would feel going there. He’s finally moving up in the universe and he’s doing it pretty fast.
Now, it was time to convince the Voidling to help him.
“I have another request and I promise to pay with even more stones than before,” he said.
“What is your request?” The Voidling asked without hesitation.
“I need to get somewhere immediately and the only way to get there is through the tear in space you create.”
“Is that so?”
“Yes.”
“Where is this place that you want to go?”
“It’s a place called the Grand Universe.”
“….You really keep surprising me. To know of the Grand Universe means that whoever is behind you is even more terrifying that I thought. It’s fine. Like I said, the changes are needed. I will help you. I will get you there,”
Liam smiled from ear to ear, as things were going better than he expected.
“If you’re ready to leave, let’s go,” the Voidling said and Liam nodded.
“Lucy, wait for me. I will be back,” he said.
The Voidling tore a tear in space and swam inside, with Liam floating beside it. When its massive body had gone into the tear, it closed.
Inside the Infinite Dimension, Liam and the Voidling were travelling through void, making their way to the Grand Universe.
