My Ultimate Sign-in System Made Me Invincible - Chapter 429 Primordial Human

Chapter 429 Primordial Human
[Congratulations, Host, on another sign-in.]
[The sign-in function has been updated. Rewards are now randomized across the three universes.]
[You have received a temporary x10 cultivation speed card.]
[You received a temporary x100 cultivation speed card.]
[Note: Cultivation speed effects stack multiplicatively]

Liam stared at the notification floating in his vision, his initial excitement deflating like a punctured balloon. He had expected something more substantial after accumulating sign-ins for over a month.
He was expecting something that would make his jaw drop. Something comparable to the galaxy-wide wormhole network or the asteroid belt he’d received previously.
Instead, he got cultivation speed cards.
He exhaled slowly, floating above the inn as disappointment settled in his chest. Perhaps he had set his expectations too high. The previous sign-in rewards had mostly been spectacular, game-changing even. These cards seemed mundane in comparison.
But then his eyes caught the note at the bottom, and he paused.
Multiplicative stacking.
Liam read it again, more carefully this time, and slowly, the implications began to dawn on him, and his disappointment started to shift into something else entirely.
His biggest obstacle wasn’t his lack of resources or connections. It wasn’t even the powerful enemies lurking in the shadows. His greatest limitation was his cultivation base and the painfully slow speed at which it grew.
Currently, his cultivation level placed him in a position of very little significant power tier of both the cultivation and magic universes.
On Earth, he could dominate entire nations without breaking a sweat. But after his encounter with the Devouring Petal Pavilion experts, the truth had become brutally clear: he was still weak in the grand scheme of things.
Depending on which universe he’s in, his passive cultivation absorbed dark energy, spiritual energy and mana constantly, drawing it from the environment without conscious effort.
For any other cultivator at his level, the amount he absorbed would be enough to advance through minor realms in a short amount of time.
But Liam wasn’t like other cultivators.
His foundation was different. His energy requirements were vastly greater. The vast amount he passively absorbed felt like trying to fill an ocean with a garden hose.
And according to his calculations, reaching the second stage of his cultivation at his current speed would take between five and seven years minimum.
Seven years.
The thought made his stomach turn. He didn’t have seven years to spare. Not with Grand Universe entities taking interest in him. Not with his growing influence attracting attention from forces he couldn’t yet face.
While he can hide from the powerful Grand Universe entities, he can’t hide forever. He needs to increase his strength quickly.
Before he could cultivate, all he wanted was to be able to do so, but now that he can, he just wants to get stronger faster.
But now, with these cards…
Liam’s mind raced through the implications. A ten-times boost combined with a hundred-times boost, stacking multiplicatively. That meant his cultivation speed would increase by a thousand times.
A thousand times. This means that the minimum of seven years needed for him to breakthrough to another stage, would become less than three days.
A smile spread across his face. A genuine and bright one. The system had his back after all. It always did, even when the rewards seemed underwhelming at first glance.
He focused on the notification, mentally selecting the cards to examine their details more closely.
[Temporary X10 Cultivation Speed Card: Boost host’s cultivation speed by ten times the normal speed, without any side effects or risk of explosion due to excessive absorption. Bypasses any form of bottleneck that would normally impede progress. Effects last for 30 Earth days.]
[Temporary X100 Cultivation Speed Card: Boost host’s cultivation speed by one hundred times the normal speed, without any side effects or risk of explosion due to excessive absorption. Bypasses any form of bottleneck that would normally impede progress. Effects last for 30 Earth days.]
Liam’s smile widened into a grin. Thirty days each. That gave him a full month with a thousand-times cultivation speed boost, free from the usual dangers of rapid advancement. And there’s no risk of his exploding from excessive absorption, and also no bottlenecks to struggle through.
This was exactly what he needed.
He prepared to activate the cards immediately, eager to begin his accelerated cultivation. He was about to give the mental command to the system, when a new notification appeared, stopping him cold.
[It is advisable for host to name his race and unique energy before activating the boost cards.]
Liam paused, reading the message twice. He understood the implication immediately. The system was warning him for a reason. Naming his race and energy would solidify his foundation, defining the very essence of what he was becoming. Attempting a breakthrough without that foundation could lead to complications.
He had been thinking about a name for his race for some time now. He wanted something that captured both his human origins and his transformation into something greater.
The name he’d settled on was simple, yet profound.
Primordial Human.
He felt that at his core, he was still human. He still thought like a human, felt like a human, valued the things humans valued. But he was also something more now. And the term “primordial” captured that perfectly—suggesting an origin point, a beginning from which all else would follow.
The name for his unique energy proved more challenging. He’d been mulling it over without reaching a satisfactory conclusion. But he could address that after officially naming his race.
“System,” Liam said quietly into the night air. “I want to name my race Primordial Human.”
[Confirm race designation: Primordial Human?]
“Confirmed.”
[Confirmation received.]
[Race designation accepted. Host’s race has been changed from Undefined to Primordial Human.]
[As the first entity of this race, host has been designated as the Primogenitor.]
[The Primordial Human Race and all related information has been recorded into the Akashic Library. This record will update automatically as new information becomes available.]
Liam’s eyes widened. He hadn’t expected that kind of response. He’d thought naming his race would be something simple, like just updating his race section in his status screen, not something that would trigger such significant notifications.
Akashic Library.
He knew that term. He’d read about it in different stories before, and it’s usually a place that record everything that had ever existed or would exist. That was its standard lore.
Apparently, it was very real.
Questions flooded his mind. What exactly was the Akashic Library in this context? Could he access it? What other races were recorded there? What did it mean that his race would be updated as new information became available?
He opened his mouth to ask the system, curiosity burning through him.
But he couldn’t ask the system, as he sensed two powerful auras, approaching Velaris at tremendous speed. His body tensed instinctively, his senses expanding to track their trajectory. They were coming from the forest outside the city, closing the distance rapidly.
What caught his attention wasn’t just their strength, though both presences radiated power that made his skin prickle. It was the strange familiarity he felt. Something about their auras resonated with a part of him, like a tuning fork vibrating in sympathy with a distant sound.
Were they Abyssal Dragons?
No. That didn’t make sense. Abyssal Dragons belonged to the cultivation universe. He has no idea how its done conventionally or if it’s even possible, but he’s sure that crossing between universes wasn’t a simple matter, even for powerful beings.
But then what were they?
Liam’s eyes focused on the horizon, his enhanced vision cutting through the darkness. Two figures emerged from the night sky, feminine silhouettes heading straight for the city and straight for him.
He rose from his meditative position, abandoning his hovering spot above the inn. Whatever these two wanted, he couldn’t allow them to cause problems in Velaris. Chrises was here and his shop was here.
If they were looking for trouble, he would deal with them outside the city.
Liam launched himself forward, accelerating rapidly. The wind whipped past him as he flew to intercept the approaching figures.
His mind remained calm despite the adrenaline beginning to pump through his veins. He had no idea what these beings wanted, but he would find out soon enough.
The distance between them closed rapidly. Within seconds, Liam could make out more details. Both women appeared young, though he knew better than to judge age by appearance when dealing with powerful entities. They wore elegant clothing that seemed to ripple with their own inner light, and their eyes…
Their eyes glowed with an unmistakable draconic presence, something that Liam can identify after the earlier incident in Grand Xia.
Liam’s heart rate picked up, when he saw that he had been right about them being dragons, even if they weren’t specifically Abyssal Dragons.
The two women slowed their approach as they spotted him, coming to a hover about fifty meters away. They studied him with undisguised curiosity, their gazes intense and searching.
Liam stopped as well, maintaining the distance between them. He kept his posture relaxed but ready, his senses alert for any sign of hostile intent.
The silence stretched for several heartbeats as the three of them faced each other in the night sky above the sleeping city.
Finally, one of the dragon women smiled.
“We’ve been looking for you,” she said.
