My Ultimate Sign-in System Made Me Invincible - Chapter 430 Rikilda and Bethan

Chapter 430 Rikilda and Bethan
“We’ve been looking for you,” one of the dragon women said, with a warm smile that carried an edge of intensity that put Liam on guard.
Liam studied her carefully, with his expression neutral. “Who are you? What do you want?”
The woman’s smile didn’t falter. “You shouldn’t pretend you don’t feel any familiarity toward us. I can sense it, even if it’s subtle.”
Liam kept his face blank. “What if I say I don’t feel such familiarity?”
The second dragon woman’s lips curved into a knowing smile. “The feeling might not be strong, considering your uniqueness, but it will still be there. You can’t deny the resonance completely.”
“I don’t feel even the tiniest shred of familiarity toward either of you,” Liam said flatly.
Both women’s expressions shifted, their smiles fading into matching frowns. The first spoke again, her tone sharper now. “You’re lying.”
Liam looked at them without responding, his silence deliberate. He had no intention of revealing anything about himself to strangers, regardless of how powerful they were or what they claimed to sense.
The two dragon women exchanged glances, clearly frustrated by his unwillingness to engage. The first woman’s patience appeared to wear thin. Her eyes flashed with irritation as she leaned forward slightly.
“Who are you?” she demanded. “And how did you get your hands on treasured remains of one of the Abyssal Dragon race? Do you have any idea how sacred those remains are to dragons?”
Liam didn’t answer. Instead, he repeated his earlier question with the same measured tone. “I asked you first. Who are you, and what do you want?”
The two women looked at each other again, some unspoken communication passing between them. After a moment, the first nodded, though her expression remained tight with barely controlled frustration.
“Fair enough,” she said. “My name is Rikilda. I’m a Red Dragon.”
The second woman inclined her head slightly. “I’m Bethan, a Blue Dragon.”
Liam studied them both, his mind racing. He’d read stories about dragons before and the fact that some of them have something called True Names, names that held power over their very essence.
Thinking of this, the question formed in his head before he could stop it.
“Are those your True Names?” he asked.
Both women looked at him with renewed interest, something shifting in their expressions. Bethan spoke first, her voice measured. “No. These aren’t our True Names, but they are our actual names. True Names are something different entirely, something we don’t share lightly.”
Liam nodded, filing that information away. The distinction mattered, clearly. Actual names versus True Names suggested layers of identity and power he didn’t yet fully understand.
Rikilda crossed her arms, her impatience returning. “We’ve introduced ourselves. Now it’s your turn, or are you going to be rude about this too?”
Liam considered for a moment, then decided there was no harm in giving them his name. “Liam Scott.”
Rikilda’s eyebrows rose slightly. “Quite a unique name. I’ve never heard anything like it.”
“Thank you,” Liam said simply. He shifted his weight, preparing to leave. “If that’s all, I’ll be taking my leave. We don’t seem to have anything else to discuss.”
He turned and began to fly away, but Rikilda moved with shocking speed, positioning herself directly in his path. Her eyes flashed with determination.
“You still haven’t answered our question,” she said.
Liam’s expression hardened, his voice dropping to a colder register. “Move out of my way while I’m still being polite.”
Rikilda didn’t budge. Her chin lifted defiantly, and for a moment, the air between them grew thick with tension. Liam instinctively raised his hand, ready to send her flying backward with his telekinesis, if she continued to block his path.
Before the situation could escalate, Bethan moved between them, her hands raised in a placating gesture.
“We shouldn’t fight,” she said firmly, looking at Rikilda with clear disapproval.
She turned to face the Red Dragon fully. “Rikilda, I understand your curiosity, truly I do. But asking such questions is rude and intrusive. We came here to introduce ourselves, not to interrogate him.”
Rikilda’s jaw clenched, but she didn’t respond.
Bethan turned to Liam, her expression apologetic. “I’m sorry for Rikilda’s behavior. She didn’t mean anything malicious by it. Her curiosity sometimes gets the better of her manners.”
Liam’s posture relaxed slightly, though he remained alert. “I won’t take offense,” he said. “But I will be taking my leave now. I have far more important things to do.”
Bethan nodded in understanding, but she didn’t move aside immediately. “I understand your position. But I hope we can meet again and talk properly. We genuinely wish to get to know you better. And if you ever need our help with anything, we’d be happy to offer our assistance.”
Liam paused, considering her words carefully. They were dragons—beings that sat near the apex of the cosmic hierarchy, just below gods themselves. The potential benefits of having connections with such powerful entities were enormous.
His mind worked through the calculations quickly. Whatever risks might come from associating with them, the potential rewards far outweighed them. He would need allies as he grew stronger, especially allies who operated at the highest levels of power, and he can use the two of them for a start.
He smiled and extended his hand for a handshake. “I’m fine with that.”
Bethan’s face brightened, and she clasped his hand warmly.
“I hope we can get to know more about each other,” Bethan said. “This is actually the first time I’ve met someone connected to the Abyssal Dragon race, even if you aren’t purely one of them. It’s quite fascinating.”
Liam returned her smile. “This is the first time I’ve seen dragons at all. I hope to see your true forms in the future.”
Bethan chuckled, a melodious sound that seemed to harmonize with the night air. “I’m curious to know if you have a dragon form yourself, and what it would look like. Something tells me it would be quite unique.”
“Maybe one day,” Liam said. He glanced at Rikilda, who made an exaggerated “hmph” sound and turned her head away, clearly still annoyed. He said nothing to her, simply turned back to Bethan and nodded. “I’ll be taking my leave now. I hope we’ll have more time to talk next time.”
“I’d like that,” Bethan replied.
Liam turned and launched himself back toward the city, his form cutting through the night sky. He could feel their eyes on him as he flew, tracking his movement until he disappeared behind the city wall.

Rikilda and Bethan remained hovering in place, watching the spot where Liam had vanished. Rikilda made another “hmph” sound, louder this time.
“I don’t like him,” she declared, crossing her arms again.
Bethan chuckled, shaking her head. “I actually like him quite a bit. He’s an interesting individual. He’s polite but firm, cautious but not fearful. There’s something compelling about him.”
Rikilda looked at her friend with exaggerated disgust. “You’re too easily impressed.”
“And you’re too quick to judge,” Bethan countered with a smile. “What were you doing before we came here anyway? You seemed quite invested in whatever it was.”
Rikilda’s expression shifted, a mischievous smile replacing her frown. “I won’t tell you.”
Bethan laughed. “Fine, keep your secrets. Come on, let’s head back.”
The two dragon women turned and flew back the way they had come, their forms streaking across the sky until they disappeared into the distant horizon.
But Liam wasn’t the only one who had sensed their powerful auras. Deep within the heart of the Empire, in the tallest tower of the capital city, the Master of the Blue Mage Tower stood at his window.
His deep eyes gazed toward the city wall, his expression thoughtful and troubled. He had felt the presence of two immensely powerful beings, and they had been hovering near the capital.
The Master stroked his long beard, questions forming in his mind. Thanks to his past experiences, he knew that they were dragons. But he was curious to know what they were doing in this part of the Empire? What had drawn their attention to Velaris specifically? And more importantly, who or what had they been meeting with?
He made a mental note to investigate further. Dragons didn’t appear without reason, and their presence always heralded significant events.

Liam flew back toward Velaris, but before he reached the inn, he vanished.
He materialized in the vast emptiness of the Dimensional Space.
He still had several things he needed to do, preparations to make before he activated his cultivation speed boost cards. And he wanted to finish naming his unique energy, completing the foundation that the system had advised him to establish.
The encounter with Rikilda and Bethan had been interesting, potentially valuable even. But right now, they were a distraction from his primary goal, which is becoming stronger.
