My Werewolf System - Chapter 1186 Each Other's Blood

Lucien Scutter was a name that Gary had never heard before. It wasn’t like the Kings he had known of, or the AFC great fighters he had watched on TV. It was a name that he had only learned today, yet he could feel how much weight it carried when spoken.
The words rung through him and the rest, and he felt his body tingle with vibrations. Almost the same feeling when he had seen Harvor transform right in front of his eyes, yet this person had done no such thing.
Gary was now unsure what to do now that they both introduced themselves. They were standing too far away for him to shake hands, and if he walked over, he didn’t know if the others would come and attack him, and it would most likely be the same if it was the other way around.
“Thank you for introducing yourself, but I have to say after your people attacked mine, I’m a bit wary and on the back foot,” Gary admitted. “If you wished to meet, you could have set up a call or a meeting, there have been a couple of people from your group that I have met before.”
“Yes, I heard,” Lucien replied. “I believe you helped out Blackjack quite nicely. The ninth family were worried about their knight, but I knew things would work out. As for you, Gary, I think first you should understand the position of the two of us during this conversation.”
Gary gulped and tensed his fist as he was ready to hear the vampire king out. He didn’t like the confidence or the way conversations were going.
“We have lived a very long life, far longer when compared to you. The need to send an invitation out to just meet with you is ridiculous. We can meet with you whenever we wish. As you can see, we can also clear the area as we like as well.”
“Our position in this world is one where we have choices, and so far we have chosen to leave you alone, but it has come to a point where that might not be possible anymore.”
This is what Gary was worried about. Had they finally gotten the attention of the vampires? What could Gary use, or say, to sway them not to fight them?
“This is only a fraction of the power we have here, and if we wanted to eliminate the Howlers… it would take only but a moment,” Lucien explained.
“Yeah, there were a lot of people that said that,” Austin shouted. “But look at where they are all now!”
The moment Austin said those words, quickly the old vampire by his side had reacted, throwing out a red blood slash. It was far faster than the attacks before and larger in size, cutting up the floor.
Gary moved in front of the blood slash and swung his arm, breaking right through the attack and shattering it to pieces. When lifting up his head, Gary’s own red eyes were seen glowing fiercely.
“What are you doing attacking my people like that!” Gary shouted, fur was starting to grow at the side of his head.
“No one dares to speak to the king that way. No less a dog!” Numan shouted.
“A dog?” Gary replied. “First, these are not dogs, and if your nose was working properly, you would know that he is no dog.”
Numan started to sniff the air, and he had come to a realization.
“A human?”
“And, why does everyone keep throwing around the word dog like it’s some type of insult,” Gary said. “Dogs are loyal, welcome you whenever you come back, and enjoy the company of the pack and those they call family! So I’m going to try take your words as a compliment,” Gary smiled.
“Yeah, we love dogs!” Park said, rejoicing.
The comments had made Lucien smile.
“Right, right, either way, your situation has now gotten us involved as well. You see, today we had decided to evaluate your strength. As you have grown stronger, you have not been a problem for us, but you have grown stronger in a shorter amount of time than we could have ever imagined.”
“So we decided to evaluate you, which is more of a threat in our eyes. The Howlers, from the city of Slough, or Lupus, from the City of Ruin. I have to say your strength certainly exceeded our expectations, but then again, we had somewhat expected that, which is why I have decided to travel from so far.”
Lucien then started to walk forward, and as he did, the vampires as well as the other leaders stepped back slightly. Lucien stretched out his arms, and aura started to swirl around them.
The aura was thicker and looked more like blood compared to the attacks before, they continued to swirl around Lucien’s hands until they had attached themselves to his skin. The blood wrapped around the hands, covering them completely from his finger tips all the way up his elbow and continued until they were on top of his shoulders.
On the shoulders themselves, the blood appeared to harden and was starting to look like spikes. His arms looked like they were now a part of two demons, and blood started to continue to swirl just around them.
“As the king, I have the power of absolute blood control,” Lucien stated. “And I have made a decision. You are a threat that must be taken care of. Gary, only me and you have the strength to match up to each other, so let’s leave this fight just to us two.” Find your next read on My Virtual Library Empire
