My Werewolf System - Chapter 1271 - 1271: A Quick End

Midwak was standing against Broodie. The two of them knew each other back from the days when they were both in the same pack. This was before the Ironfangs had even existed.
The reason why the two of them knew each other more than others was because both of them were talented. The talented members of the pack had kept an eye on each other in the past, as they saw each other as competition, to grow in the pack.
For a moment, it made Midwak think, if he had continued to be in the Lupus pack, if this was what his life would have been—part of Ruin City, part of the Ironfang members. Would he still have Ylva by his side? More than likely not, because all she wanted was the Alpha.
“ARGHH!” Midwak shouted as he swung his hands through the air. The energised claws came out, scratching everything in its path.
With the large shield, Broodie was able to easily move and block the attack. When he placed his shield down, he saw that Midwak was nowhere to be seen though, and instead could hear a sound coming from above.
Midwak landed with a large punch again, sending Broodie back. Broodie stumbled, but Midwak knew that wouldn’t be enough to take him down. As he ran after Broodie, he flicked his fingernails sharp, all of them in quick succession and all of them aiming for one place—the thigh of Broodie.
As Midwak was getting close, he then swung his energised claw again through the air, aiming at the same thigh he had hit with his nails. Immediately, Broodie placed his shield there, blocking the attack.
And that was when Broodie’s face was left wide open. With a fist, Midwak drove his power, hitting him right in the chin—a solid hit that lifted his body.
“This was where I was aiming for the entire time, motherf*cker!” Midwak shouted, and then kicked Broodie in the stomach, sending him flying until he had even been kicked off the bridge.
Broodie was getting up from the dust. All of the hits were hard, but they weren’t enough to take him down.
“It looks like you weren’t doing nothing the entire time you left the pack,” Broodie claimed. “A natural talent. I’m not even sure you’re thinking in that head of yours when attacking. You’re skilled—really skilled—which is why I’m so surprised that you went and joined another pack of all things.”
“You have no idea,” Midwak smiled. “You think I’m strong, that I’m talented. As I said, if you fools keep underestimating these Howlers, they’ll take you down before you know it—and I’m probably the person that knows that the most in this world.”
“Haha, I would never have thought I’d see the day where you’re praising someone else? You were quite arrogant back in the day. I always wanted to wipe the smug look off your face, and now I get the chance!” Broodie’s shield was starting to vibrate just like before.
Now Midwak was more focused compared to last time, because his plan hadn’t quite worked out the way he had hoped. Midwak’s class required him to be facing an opponent one-on-one for its special power to activate.
However, there were too many people around them, which was why he had attempted to do whatever he could to push Broodie as far as possible away from the others fighting, but even at this distance, Midwak could feel that his great power he used when fighting Kai hadn’t come out.
It was then though, before their real fight had even started, that something unexpected had occurred, as Broodie looked past the others.
“What the…”
Right behind them, the fight between Kai and Ivy was taking place. Kai had quickly transformed into his Wolf form and was running at fast speeds that Ivy was unable to strike him.
Even with the use of her weapon. Even more though, Kai had instantly evaluated, using the area around him to his advantage. He ran across the water, striking at it, creating large waves to appear.
Then, when the water soaked Ivy, she thought nothing of it—until Kai continued to run past her, freezing her body bit by bit. It was the same technique that Kai had used when fighting Midwak.
Her body was slowing down, and in the end, even her weapon was frozen. Kai had snatched it with his mouth and had broken it apart. Eventually, after Ivy was near enough frozen, he had continued to strike her with his mouth, biting areas here and there.
The damage was building up, and so was the special power of his attacks. Then, Kai had done it—transformed into his Werewolf state, and pummeled Ivy with ferocious hits and claw marks, until he held her up in the air with one hand, right by her throat.
“I told you,” Kai said. “I don’t have time for games. I’m in a rush here.” Tensing his hand, Kai cracked Ivy on the neck, and then threw her onto the floor.
Everyone was somewhat at a loss as they stared at Kai. They saw him just defeat an Ironfang leader, and it was in a matter of moments. Was this how big of a difference there was between those in the Howlers and those in the Lupus gang?
Or was it just Kai himself who had gotten superior?
‘Wait, the power of the Grey-furred wolf!’ Midwak thought. ‘His strength increases the more Werewolves that are around him. So Kai right now is even stronger than when he fought against me… Still, it feels like he used everything he had learned against me in that fight.’
“Midwak, thanks for keeping the other one busy. I’ll take him out now,” Kai said, walking forward.
