“Trust me. The dark energy I’ve absorbed isn’t inferior to it in terms of quantity. If we work together, we should be able to crush it. And don’t forget—you still have another helper. There’s nothing to worry about,” Evilmoon said with confidence.

Long Chen’s heart steadied at those words. Without hesitation, he pressed his palms together. Astral energy roared out as six gates opened behind him, starlight flooding his body. In the blink of an eye, he vanished with the Star Cloud Steps and appeared directly before his foe.

“The nine star line… will be eradicated!”

The possessed Dark race expert snarled upon seeing Long Chen clad in Astral Battle Armor. His voice grated like broken steel, filled with agony and malice. With a flick of his hand, black qi condensed into a spear identical to the one he had once wielded—only now, its aura was far more terrifying.

The weapon shot forward silently, like death itself piercing the void.

“No! If you use your full power, I’m afraid it will take control of the spider. In that case, we’ll be stuck in an even worse position!” said Long Chen hastily.

This lifeform was incredibly bizarre. If it could obtain the spider’s power, they would be in real trouble.

“Then what? With only half my strength, I can’t block its attacks for you!” snarled Evilmoon.

In their first clash, Evilmoon had defended while Long Chen struck back, barely pulling it off. But against this heaven-defying existence, that balance would not hold.

Just then, the Dark race expert shot at Long Chen again.

Long Chen used the Star Cloud Steps to retreat. Shooting back, he extended his hands and summoned four astral pillars.

Long Chen shouted, and four astral pillars descended, trapping the Dark race expert within. Countless petals wove into the pillars, their glow reinforcing the astral cage.

The Dark race expert bellowed furiously, its body thrashing as astral energy and Evilmoon’s power crushed down on it.

With a single step, Long Chen appeared beside Mo Nian.
