Nine Star Hegemon Body Arts - Chapter 6580 Why

Chapter 6580 Why
“Who is that old man? Hmph, he’s pretty rude! What does he mean, no good bird?! He’s clearly targeting me! Hmph, if it weren’t to give you face, I’d have slapped him already!” the green parrot finally exploded once they left the academy.
“He’s just an ordinary sweeper in the academy. Since you want to slap him, let’s go back,” Long Chen replied as he turned around.
“Hey, hey! Old Sixth is a transcendent being! Fighting with some old sweeper would be a loss of status to me!” The green parrot hastily stopped him.
It was painfully transparent. The green parrot had clearly sensed how terrifying the sweeping elder was. Even so, the Earth Cauldron had never revealed this bird’s origins, and the sweeping elder even recognized it at a glance. That proved that this bird’s identity was anything but simple.
“Green Old Sixth, can you bring me to the Dragon Domain?” asked Long Chen.
“You think I’m a mount? Forget it! You conned me out of years of savings. Right now, I can’t even afford to waste a single feather!” the parrot huffed.
Long Chen stared at the almost bald bird and nodded thoughtfully.
“What’s with that look?!”
“How about we go to a marketplace, and I buy you some feathers?” Long Chen asked with grave sincerity.
“Long Chen, I’ll really kill you!” the green parrot shrieked.
…
An hour later, the parrot was clad in a mix of gold and green plumage. It puffed out its chest arrogantly.
“You know, I have to say… this thing looks good!”
“Are you going to admit that you were wrong?” Long Chen asked with a taunting glance at the newly feathered bird.
“Hmph, the color’s not bad, but the quality is terrible. A Human Emperor Golden Peng’s feathers simply don’t match Old Sixth’s status. Hmph, they’d have to at least be at the Divine Sovereign level! But I suppose this is the best you can do.”
The parrot flew loops around Long Chen, admiring its reflection. Long Chen chose to ignore it. In a city this small, those were the strongest feathers he could find.
Once they left the city, Long Chen took off his disguise. He then spread his Kunpeng wings and flew off.
The parrot obviously had its own method to traverse space, but it insisted it wouldn’t exert even a shred more effort after everything it had gone through. Since Long Chen couldn’t persuade it, he could only fly normally.
It wasn’t long before he arrived in another city. He needed to use its transportation formation.
This city was much larger. Although it wasn’t one of the eight divine cities, countless people were still coming and going here.
Just as Long Chen prepared to disguise himself, the parrot cleared its throat and bellowed, “Everyone in the city, if you don’t want to die, then get out of Old Sixth’s path! Otherwise, Old Sixth will turn this city into a sea of blood! Don’t seek your own misfortune and leave while you can!”
Long Chen’s expression turned dark. Just like that, the parrot had disturbed countless experts inside the city. Startled cries rang out.
“Just you wait,” Long Chen threatened through gritted teeth as he walked toward the city gate.
“Heavens… Long Chen is here! He slaughtered his way through the heaven region’s battlefield, destroyed the Brahma holy land, barged into the divine clans, and even ignored the Jiuli Tower!”
Long Chen’s name was currently resounding loudly throughout the nine heavens. Everyone had heard of his most recent deeds. While the majority did not witness the battle in the heaven region’s battlefield, the descriptions of what had happened were all so crazy that they didn’t know what to believe.
But many had witnessed the white-robed Long Chen obliterate the Brahma holy land and crush Long Can beneath her own divine throne. That scene alone had shaken countless hearts.
Upon hearing the shout, they were all angry, so they went over to see who would be so arrogant. But when they saw Long Chen, they suddenly felt like it was only right for these words to come out of his mouth.
This city was filled with powerful experts, including newly advanced Sovereign Lords. They could be considered the new central pillars of the nine heavens. After all, this era belonged to them.
However, in front of Long Chen, they didn’t even dare to breathe. The nonhuman experts were especially terrified. They wanted to flee but didn’t dare, afraid he’d take it as provocation. Perhaps as long as he was placated, they would have a chance of surviving.
“Dean Long Chen…”
The city lord, a late-stage Sovereign Lord, rushed out to greet Long Chen with a tremble in his voice. Although his realm was high, his actual combat power probably wasn’t much stronger than the newly ascended Sovereign Lords.
“I’d like to borrow your transportation formation. Sorry for the disruption,” Long Chen said, cupping his fists.
Hearing his purpose, everyone immediately made a path for him.
“Hahaha, when Old Sixth arrives, the earth roars and the heavens cry out! When Old Sixth leaves, ghosts sob and gods weep!” the parrot squawked arrogantly on top of Long Chen’s shoulder.
“Oh, that girl’s pretty—aiya!”
Long Chen grabbed the bird and flung it away before it could finish ogling a bewitching woman from the demon race.
Not waiting for it to return, Long Chen directly activated the transportation formation and vanished.
“Long Chen, damn you! Wait for me!”
The parrot’s body glowed as it shot into the twisting spatial channel, disappearing. A moment later, it reappeared on Long Chen’s shoulder, looking down on him as if he were the unreasonable one.
“What are you doing? How can you be so petty?” asked the green parrot.
Long Chen stared back blankly. But inside, he was stunned. The formation had already activated, yet the parrot could perfectly locate and force itself into the spatial passage. It could cut through space as easily as breathing.
“Green Old Sixth, how can I help you recover quickly?” asked Long Chen.
With a slightly serious tone, the parrot replied, “In this world, there is life qi, death qi, law power, core energy, karmic luck energy, faith energy, and many other forms of energy. Whether good or bad, they can help me recover.”
“If it’s so simple, shouldn’t you have recovered long ago?” asked Long Chen.
Long Chen instantly saw the parrot’s eyes darting around nervously. He demanded, “Stop playing games with me. Tell me the truth, or I won’t help you.”
Green Old Sixth hesitated a long while before finally gritting its beak.
“I can absorb all energies under heaven to recover, but it’s painfully slow. That old cauldron said you could help me recover much faster… especially during your heavenly tribulation.”
