“Master, I am suddenly sleepy.” Saena stated as her body needed to induce sleep to make sure that it can cope with her new abilities.

“If that is the case, then you should sleep in the Soul Chamber for now.” Adrian stated as he sealed Saena just like Kanlaon did.

Adrian then looked at the Vermillion Bird of the South to check if it really has recovered itself back to its peak. Seeing the energy level of the Vermillion Bird of the South more stable, he believed that it would take just a few more days before it recovers completely. He did not expect that half the power of that heart will be able to stabilize the weakened Vermillion Bird of the South.

“Can you tell me what happened? I want to know what is happening in the eastern continent right now.” Adrian stated as the Vermillion Bird of the South proceeded to tell him what has happened in the eastern continent for the past couple of days.

“Why are we not going after the Black Tortoise of the South again, master?” Vixen asked as they were now a kilometer away from Vermillion City with an army.

“The Vermillion Bird of the South has the power of rebirth and regeneration. They would need its power in order to revive the two Cardinal Divine Beast that our organization has killed. We need to kill the Vermillion Bird of the South first in order to secure the fruition of the grand plan.” Chiyou stated.

“If we are going to attack then why are we faraway from the city? We should be advancing right about now.” Vixen stated.

“I have always told you that you should be patient and this is also the case now. We just need to clean up the place after because there is already a being that has joined our cause.” Chiyou stated as a large shadow suddenly flew by them.

A large bird monster with pure black feathers and an aura that is as scorching as the sun flew by. The most striking thing about it is none other than its three legs. It was none other than a Three-Legged Crow that has a sun mandala behind its back. Tai, Vixen, and Tama cannot believe that there was another divine beast in the eastern continent.

“Where did that come from?” Tama asked in curiosity.

“I unleashed it from its seal and fed it some of the Samadhi True Flames that we have. It was only a small divine beast before, but it evolved into a True Three-Legged Crow when I fed it the divine flames. It will be a fitting opponent for the Vermillion Bird of the South. Once the Three-Legged Crow and the Vermillion Bird of the South are fighting, we will take over the city and hold it hostage so that the Vermillion Bird of the South will surrender itself to us.” Chiyou stated as he wants to take the entire population of Vermillion City in order to threaten the Vermillion Bird of the South.

“Will the Vermillion Bird of the South even accept that?” Vixen asked as she believes that the divine beast would just escape and sacrifice the citizens of the city for its safety.

“The Vermillion Bird of the South must help its followers because its power is tied to the people. The Four Cardinal Beasts are all tied to the worship of humans unlike other gods that do not need it. If it abandons its citizens, then it is no different from it dying. Belief is the basis of their power, and it is also the way to truly defeat them. Get ready as we will now march towards the city.” Chiyou stated.

“I am ready, master. These bracers are something that has increased my battle prowess. I can take down the Vermillion Bird of the South easily with your help as long as I have these.” Tai stated as his bracers made from the fang of the White Tiger of the West glistened in a silver sheen.

Adrian and the Vermillion Bird of the South were chatting and exchanging ideas when they immediately felt it. A powerful divine presence could be felt coming towards Vermillion City. Adrian immediately teleported outside of the tower in a rather secluded area to see what this divine entity was. As soon as Adrian came outside, he saw that the sun was now close to the city or rather, an entity as blazing as the sun came towards them.

The Three-Legged Crow did not pass through but actually stopped on top of the skies of Vermillion city. Even the residents of the city stopped what they were doing as they could feel the heat intensify because of the Three-Legged Crow. Adrian could tell that this divine beast did not come here to give its greetings to the King of Birds which is the Vermillion Bird of the South.

“Primordial Armament: Bow!” Adrian stated as he started to draw his bow when he felt the sudden killing intent of the Three-Legged Crow.

Adrian pulled his bowstring, but the Three-Legged Crow was faster than him. The sun mandala behind the Three-Legged Crow suddenly erupted and unleashed flaming meteors down the city. The residents suddenly panicked and hid in the homes when they saw a divine bird suddenly attack their city. The Vermillion Bird of the South will not let this slide though as it also made its own power surge as it came out of the top of the pagoda.

The Vermillion Bird of the South immediately released a powerful blast of flames that erased the flaming meteors that the Three-Legged Crow created. The two divine beasts glared at each other before both of them started the brawl in the air. Adrian was about to shoot the Three-Legged Crow but he suddenly saw a large army coming towards Vermillion City.
