Chapter 2621: Return of the Yellow Emperor I
“I will forget about this now because Peridot is not making a fuss, but we will talk about it later. We have a bigger problem to take care of because of something that was unsealed when the Four Cardinal Divine Beasts were killed.” Adrian stated as he already opened up a portal back to the area where he left Levin Cloud and the others.
“Ok. I already have the thing that the Black Tortoise of the North will awaken into. Let us go.” Peridot replied as both of them entered the portal and vanished from the ruined Black City.

While Adrian and the others were busy, the Yellow Emperor or the Corrupted Huanglong has already found its missing palace. The missing palace in question is located just a few kilometers away from the Emei Sect. This palace of the Yellow Emperor has been covered in sand and dust as it is now in a barren desert. The Palace of the Yellow Emperor was a paradise back then that showed abundance and power but now it is nothing but a hollow and forgotten palace.
One would think that the Corrupted Huanglong is actually just the distorted god controlling the body of the real Yellow Emperor but that is no longer the case. The Huanglong has already fused with the distorted god and combined to create a new being which is the Corrupted Huanglong. The Huanglong’s real self has already been devoured and processed to the point that it no longer has any goodness in its heart.
“This cannot be! I am the Yellow Emperor and fortuned ruler of the Heavens! I shall be the true ruler of this world as the Heavens have decreed!” The Corrupted Huanglong stated as he suddenly released his true form and covered the skies of the desert.
With its true form revealed, the Corrupted Huanglong erupted in power as it scattered miasma everywhere. All of the area that its body covered is subjected to the effects of the miasma. The Corrupted Huanglong then proceeded to return its old palace back to what it once was. With all of its power, the Corrupted Huanglong raised up winds and used them to carry the sands that buried the Palace of the Yellow Emperor.
The Corrupted Huanglong pushed its power to the limit until all of the sand that covered the Palace of the Yellow Emperor has been unearthed. It could have chosen to just send the sand outwards to clean up the place, but the Corrupted Huanglong had other plans. It has grown incredibly angry for the disrespect it has seen as no one even maintained the Palace of the Yellow Emperor. It thought that at least a human emperor would stay in it for generations, but it was swallowed by a desert.
“This area was not even a desert back then! Those Ryujin must have terraformed this place so that my magnificent palace will be buried in the sands and forever forgotten.” The Corrupted Huanglong shouted with anger as it destroyed the ravaging sandstorm with just its shout.
The Corrupted Huanglong is not wrong when he wanted to blame the Ryujin because it really was them that buried all details of the Yellow Emperor. Even the Four Cardinal Divine Beasts buried the knowledge of the Yellow Emperor in fear that someone would awaken it from its seal. It is also a way to weaken divine beings that need faith in order to stay relevant.
Once the sandstorm is blown away, the Corrupted Huanglong sent all of the sand to the ground an created an army made of sand. The sand soldiers that the Corrupted Huanglong had the same features of the fallen gods that all had their souls contracted to it. As the sand soldiers were being created, the Corrupted Huanglong landed on the ground to see the state of the Palace of the Yellow Emperor.
The palace that was once made of gold is now battered by the ages. Parts of it have been deformed because of the heat of the desert while parts made of rock have crumbled or dissipated. It was no longer majestic and beautiful as it was just a relic of the forgotten past. Seeing the state of the Palace of the Yellow Emperor, the anger of the Corrupted Huanglong burned like a raging inferno.
“This cannot be!” The Corrupted Huanglong shouted as it used up half of the sands it controlled to reshape and reform the Palace of the Yellow Emperor to what it remembers.
Numerous sand particles swirled around the Palace of the Yellow Emperor as it replaced the broken foundations and walls. The Corrupted Huanglong even controlled the gold that the palace is made of to create smooth details that were lost. It took the Corrupted Huanglong about six hours just to reform the destroyed Palace of the Yellow Emperor.
“Yes! This is how an emperor should be living.” The Corrupted Huanglong stated as it turned back to its humanoid form to relive the glory of the Huanglong from its combined memories.
“A king should have some servants. Fortunately for them, I am in need of top-quality servants.” The Corrupted Huanglong stated as it then proceeded to open a pouch from its sleeves.
When the Corrupted Huanglong took out the pouch, the atmosphere of the area suddenly became heavy as numerous muffled voices echoed. As soon as the Corrupted Huanglong opened up the pouch, the voices of numerous beings flowed from it. These were the voices of the fallen gods that the Corrupted Huanglong had contracts with as their souls are now owned by the Yellow Emperor.
“Tsk… tsk. All of you keep pushing each other down even when all of you are just souls. Whoever reincarnated all of you into humans have done me such an immense favor. Handling divine souls would have been difficult but all of you have humanity in them. For such a long time, all of you despised humanity because they are weak but now you are just like them. Lucky for all of you, I need servants and guards that are not dimwits.” The Corrupted Huanglong stated as it dipped its hands into the pouch to gather souls.
When the Corrupted Huanglong have gathered souls, it was satisfied with, the Yellow Emperor then sent those souls directly to the sand puppets that it has created. The sand soldiers could move on their own, but they lack direction and thinking. Seeing that its own creations did not have any breath of life, the Corrupted Huanglong used the souls of those contracted to it instead.
The Corrupted Huanglong did not fear any rebellion from the fallen gods of the east as they were all bound to it. The only reason why the Corrupted Huanglong did not take indebted gods to it when it was sealed is simple. The seal could only contain the Corrupted Huanglong and no other divine entities. The fact that they were not sealed with it also worked out in the favor of the Corrupted Huanglong in the end.
“Rise my servants!” The Corrupted Huanglong stated as it took out five souls from the pouch to test if the sand soldiers would be enough of a vessel for these fallen gods.
As soon as the souls were sent towards the sand soldiers, the face and stature of the sand soldiers started to morph to better house the souls of the fallen gods that the Corrupted Huanglong sent. Everything was going well as the bodies of the servants of the Corrupted Huanglong will form but all of the sand soldiers exploded as soon as the form is about to be perfected. The Corrupted Huanglong tried once again but the souls were too powerful for normal sand bodies.
“As it is written in the legends, the creator gods breathe life into the beings they molded.” The Corrupted Huanglong thought as it opened its mouth to release miasmic energy instead of divine energy.
The miasmic energy permeated the bodies of the sand soldiers and started to taint them with it. The sand that was yellow in color suddenly started to take on a darker appearance. Parts of the sand became red and black in color which made stronger and more resilient sand soldiers. Seeing that the sand soldiers were enhanced, the Corrupted Huanglong proceeded to place the souls of the five fallen gods it has contracted.
“ARRRGHH!” The scream of pain could be heard as all five enhanced sand soldiers morphed to the forms of their ideal bodies.
Five fallen gods in their preferred forms appeared before the Corrupted Huanglong. All of them having the strength of a demigod but they could still grow stronger to the level of a lesser god. All five of them had human looking appearances but their eyes were red with pitch black sclera. They also released miasmic aura that would mistake them for evil beasts instead of humans. As soon as all five of them regained their senses, the five charged towards the Corrupted Huanglong in an attempt to kill.
