Chapter 2674: God Against the Eastern Continent II
The rifts are all protected by the enormous magical energy used by Adrian in creating them. Only beings that came from the other side could use their specific rifts to return. This magic also affects his allies which meanst that those that are not from other rifts cannot transfer. There is a way to bypass the rifts and that is by using an enormous amount of energy to destroy the protection magic guarding them.
The Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong will not dare to do such a thing though as using the same amount of magical energy that Adrian used will make it lose most of its own divine energy in the process. The Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong can no longer sustain its own consumption of magical energy as it is no longer able to use the ley lines. It is running on its own divine energy as a way to maintain its form and also maintain its army.
The ones that Adrian summoned are all from varying degrees of power level as he used all of the eastern continent as the basis for his rift creation. He directed everything to the locations that Levin Cloud himself has given him. He did not know if the warriors from those areas would actually answer their call but it seems his worries are for nothing. All of the warriors of the eastern continent jumped through the rift and joined their battle against the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong.
If the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong has an army of a few hundred fallen gods that are Divine Immortals, the army that Adrian called upon were in the hundred thousand. They were all a mixture of Immortals, demonic beasts, divine beasts, and even some mystics joined in as well. There is also the group led by the Grand Masters that are the other fallen gods that embraced humanity.
In the end, the army of the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong might have the power but they did not have the number. The combination of the cultivators and beasts were so powerful that it turned the hopeless battle into one that might enable them to win against the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong. The Four Demonic Generals that revived were called to lead the army but they were actually plotting their revenge.
The Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong did not predict that it could not perfectly control the Four Demonic Generals as they were just below it in terms of power. At first, the Four Demonic Generals made sure to accept the terms of the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong as only Adrian and a few players were present. All of them suddenly shifted their attention when their killers appeared via the rift summoned by Adrian.
All Four Demonic Generals no longer cared about the army of the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong and headed straight to kill the ones that defeated them. The powers of the fallen gods were not the only ones that are enhanced but also their negative emotions as well. This is a side effect of the boosting power that the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong could grant.
“Useless, generals! I shall do it myself! I shall punish them thoroughly once this is all over.” The Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong stated as it could not control its most powerful fighters.
The Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong said that but it is just something like a wish because it cannot punish the fallen gods before it. It could reinforce control but the Four Demonic Generals are not as influenced by it. The Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong had to move personally if it wanted the battle to end quickly.
“GOLDEN RAIN OF FIRE!” The Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong conjured as a large magic circle appeared above it.
Golden flaming balls of fire suddenly started to rain down on the ground as a result of the powerful spell. One would think that the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong would care about its minions now that it is using its own energy to empower them but it still did not care. The Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong also made sure that its minions will be affected by the spells that it releases because it has done something to their souls.
The Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong created a small mechanic on the souls of those that it revived. An example of this happening already presented itself when an entire golden ball of flame engulfed one of the revived Immortals. Instead of its body turning to sand and becoming dust, the revived Immortal’s body exploded as the remaining internal energy in its body became a bomb. Fortunately, the explosion radius was small and only affected some people.
The revived Immortals and fallen gods instantly looked at the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong with dread. They were beings that know what happens when an Immortal makes its body explode. This would result in the Immortal losing its soul as it will be scattered in the wind. One would be lucky if their scattered soul is eventually collected but most does not have such luck. Those that have their souls scattered are often erased from existence completely as they will never be able to reincarnate.
“It is viler than I thought.” Grand Master Fu Xi stated as he appeared next to Adrian.
“This is the reason why you should never sign your soul away even if the deal is too good.” Adrian commented.
“Can all of them explode if the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong becomes desperate?” Grand Master Fu Xi asked Adrian as he was the one that is considered an expert on souls.
“If it could do that then why would it waste time to have them attack us. The Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong could have commanded all of those that it revived to clutch onto us as they make their bodies explode. You can say that the internal energy explosion is a last resort to also bring those that defeated them to the grave.” Adrian stated as he peered into the soul of the closest enemy.
“If that is the case then I am relieved. We have a chance to avoid more sacrifices. I shall be on my way, Mediator. Please do what you planned to do. I can feel the divine object resonating inside of you.” Grand Master Fu Xi stated as he smiled and charged to the battlefield.
Grand Master Fu Xi did not finish off enemies but would take the bodies of the fallen enemies and then send them high into the sky as their bodies prepared to explode. He is not actively participating in culling the enemy but is actively saving the lives of all their allies. This has always been his way and the reason why he taught people how to cultivate martial arts in the first place.
“To think that he could detect it.” Adrian muttered as he took out the divine artifact that Grand Master Fu Xi was talking about.
Adrian took out the Heavenly Cudgel that was bathe in the energy of the ley lines of the eastern continent. He did not know that bathing it in the energy of the ley line would actually restore it back to what it really is. He already knew what it was when he touched it as visions of a powerful divine beast entered his mind upon touching the artifact. He even asked about the details of this particular divine beast as he was curious.
“Primordial Divine Beast Sun Wukong. Another entity that is said to have been protecting the eastern continent as the master of shapeshifting and the God of Divine and Demonic Beasts. It was not born as a primordial divine beast but rose to become one through effort and heavenly luck. You could say that a god helped him achieve that but that same god has already vanished even from the divine realm.
Its master has sacrificed himself to protect the world from the foreign gods. You could even say that the divine restriction is more powerful in the eastern continent because of the master of the Primordial Divine Beast Sun Wukong. Are you actually calling upon me to revive you into this world to fight for your own continent once more?” Adrian stated as the artifact quivered.
Adrian knew that the real Primordial Divine Beast Sun Wukong has already passed away. The memories of the Heavenly Cudgel even conveyed it to him. The Primordial Divine Beast Sun Wukong did leave something just in case the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong revives. The divine spark of the Primordial Divine Beast Sun Wukong is sealed inside of the Heavenly Cudgel.
This is also the reason why the Heavenly Cudgel refused the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong earlier. It was the divine spark of the Primordial Divine Beast Sun Wukong that rejected the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong. The divine spark knew that the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong would become far too powerful if it gained ownership of it. This is the reason why the Heavenly Cudgel risked being destroyed instead of being taken by the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong.
