The Harvest Festival is something that has not happened in the world for over ten thousand years. The last Asmodian Daemos that triggered this was the last direct descendant of the first Asmodian Daemos. The sudden trigger of the Harvest Festival did not just garner the attention of beings that lived long but also the gods. A Harvest Festival is basically the world rejoicing that a being that could harness the power of creation is once again being born.

Adrian floated on top of the Tree of Life and Death and the energy of the world did not harm him at all. Ascension should be something that will challenge the being that will ascend to demigod status but he was different. Adrian is not being challenged by the world but is actually being loved by it. Every being that became a demigod all looked at Adrian with envy because he was getting preferential treatment.

“Why is a demon getting better treatment than us?!”

“There is bias here! The world is unfair!”

The demigods did not dare to raise their voices because they knew that the world might sent lightning to punish them. The world itself is not fair as it views Adrian with preferential treatment because he has saved it numerous times and even completed quests for it. Adrian is not the only being that the world has given quests to as the voice of the world could be heard by every being that lives in it.

Unlike Adrian, these beings ignored the requests from the world and decided to pursue their selfish interests. If they actually knew that the requests from the world could soften their tribulation called the World Cleansing then they would have done these quests until they were tired. Still, favors of the world only come to those that are destined or those that have magnanimous hearts.

Demigods have some level of influence in the world as they can root their divine energy in a territory. This is the reason why there are some demigod level beings hidden in kingdoms as they were the ones that established those societies. Faith can also be collected via this process as anyone that lives in their kingdom can give a source of faith to that demigod. This is one way for demigods to accumulate faith and virtually live forever as long as they utilize it properly.

In fact, the World Cleansing that the Daemos Elders have faced were not that harsh but it did give them some pain. Demons are actually one of the few races that are not as damaged when it comes to World Cleansing because of their special connection to the World Barrier. The world favored them because they are protecting it but it never showed this kind of favor to a demon before.

Even the dragons that are said to safeguard the core parts of the world called the Eden Sanctuaries are not as favored like Adrian is now. In fact, some of the Ancient Dragons looked at Adrian with envy because he will not be in a weakened state after what is happening to him. All of the demigods and gods are now peeking at Avalon because of the spectacle that is now Adrian’s ascension to demigod status.

In fact, Amelia instantly started a livestream of the event in Avalon because it could lead to great views and sponsorship. She is the Pantheon guild’s head reporter and streamer. She has authority to stream Pantheon related things such as raids and world boss encounters. Adrian and Solstice let her do what she wanted as long as it is not invading personal privacy because of the benefits that the guild gets.

She livestreamed the event happening in Avalon since a lot of people are also doing the same. She did not want other players that are not members of Pantheon to have ownership of the event happening at their very doorstep. She is a very loyal member of Pantheon and she will make sure that she will be the only one getting the views for this as this will help the guild.

In fact, Adrian’s ascension is already a very publicized topic in the forum and even in gaming news. His ascension is also being advertised by Atlas Inc. themselves as they are posting a link to Amelia’s stream in their webpage. They even titled it as the Demon’s Awakening because Adrian is sort of one of the game’s mascots.

As the world could see and even heard of the event, all types of beings have different perceptions of this. Some beings will just let it fly by because it is an ascension of a demon to a demigod level being. Demigods are not that rare for beings that already passed the level of a god. The lesser gods that are roaming the world would just watch it as a spectacle but that is not the same for demigod level beings.

World Cleansings have the power of the world bearing down on you which will temper your body to have it absorb more divine energy. For demigods that are scared of such things, they sometimes formed groups to hunt down other demigods attempting their World Cleansing. If they kill the demigod undergoing the World Cleansing at the very climax of it then they can steal the benefits midway.

They will be the ones to have their bodies blessed and have more divine energy in them. This method will not let them ascend to godhood but it will temper their bodies to become lesser gods as long as it is done multiple times. These unsavory types of demigods are always hunted down by other righteous demigods because such a thing is basically stealing. Also, increasing demigods is also another way for the world to have better defenses if foreign entities invade them. The Void, dark gods, and distorted gods are not the only things that can invade the main world after all.

These unsavory and unethical demigods just intended to watch the process but they soon changed their minds when three large hands started to embrace Adrian. One hand materialized from the very ground itself. The second materialized from the oceans next to Avalon. The last hand materialized from the skies above Avalon.

Three large hands cradled Adrian as if he was the most precious being to ever existed as of the moment. The devious demigods instantly shuddered because the demon basically skipped the step of the harsh tribulation in the form of natural lightning. The demon basically started at the step where his body is molded to be able to absorb divine energy just by breathing.

The devious demigods then looked at each other as they formed a group to better protect themselves from other demigods. They knew they were being hunted but there is strength in numbers. The intelligence that they have is that Avalon only has one Noblesse and that he is already an old man that is severely injured. If they were going to steal the benefits of the World Cleansing from that demon then this is now their chance.

“Such powerful energy is being pumped into him! We might become gods if we kill him and absorb his blessings!” One of the devious demigods stated.

“This is a one in a million chance! Let us risk it and we could even conquer Avalon once we become lesser gods!” Another one of the devious demigods stated as all of them risked it and charged towards Adrian.

When these devious demigods charged towards Adrian, they were shocked that it was not just them. Demigods that are of different races and species that wanted to steal the benefits also charged towards them. The greed in their eyes could be seen as they wanted the power that is being inserted in Adrian’s body as of this moment. A path to godhood has presented itself before them and they would be fools to not attempt to take it.

Everything would have been fine and dandy but these demigods were all greedy and stupid. They seem to have forgotten that demons are entirely different from other lifeforms. In fact, they even forgot the Noblesse that is protecting Avalon because he has never left the territory or made waves for the past hundreds of years. A musical tune is suddenly heard by all the demigods that charged towards Adrian.

A melodic sweet tone that could enamor anyone that hears it could be heard as a demon with eyes that contain the boundless wilderness appeared before them. The Great Nature Noblesse Pann appeared before these greedy and stupid demigods. All of them could feel the strength that Pann possesses and it is just like them.

The demigods believe that they can get rid of him or injure him if they worked together. They were just against one Noblesse after all and there were plenty of them. They could just share the benefits of the World Cleansing as it has enough to go around.

“Greedy roaches should be squashed or else an infestation will occur.” Great Nature Noblesse Pann stated as all of the demigods suddenly exploded and their physical bodies died instantly.
