The Witch’s Hex that they are now above on is at least ten kilometers in size which means that the being before them is definitely powerful. The Corrupted Witch that is before them has the power of a goddess because it is an Apostle that is channeling its own patron goddess in her body. The reason for its numerous octave voice is due to the fact that it has fused with its patron goddess.

“This is bad! We were caught! We deviated as much as we could from the path but it seems that there is a mole or rather the others might have been captured and their minds read.” Bloom stated as she is very much used to espionage since she is an expert on them as she can manipulate light very well.

“We have no time to deal with this hag. Summon: Inferno!” Adrian shouted as a silhouette of the Fire Elemental King Keahi appeared and then released a powerful explosion of flames around him.

Adrian then reached out for Boulder and Bloom as he told Mino to fly as fast as he can and not control the air pressure. Adrian already summoned the Wind Elemental King Zeru to protect them and root them on the back of Mino. Since all of Telos’ soulbounds listen to him unconditionally, Mino did as it was told and flew like a comet.

“GET THEM!” The Corrupted Witch shouted as she created twisted wraiths using corrupted mana and human souls that she has plundered.

Numerous Twisted Wraiths chased after Adrian and the others as the they opted to escape. Adrian knew that they cannot fight there as the time limit is very crucial for this quest. They cannot waste time fighting against enemies as their allies are waiting for them. The creation relic must be sealed in the Eden Sanctuary with the Eden Guardian.

“Flowering Light!” Bloom shouted as she released flowers in the air that are yellow in color.

The flowers that were scattered were buds but they soon opened up to reveal a powerful flash of light that expelled anything evil. The Twisted Wraiths that were directly showered with the light all disintegrated while those that were near were weakened. Adrian knew that the undead have become enemies during the early parts of the war since they were just created.

“This is the reason why the Twin Gods are not here. The undead are wreaking havoc which is why the gods of life and death are busy dealing with the current epidemic. The Envoy of the Twin Gods have betrayed them just like it was told.” Adrian thought as the Corrupted Witch that is chasing them is also an undead from the energy that it is releasing.

“There are still so many of those things! What kind of undead are they? I never seen them before.” Boulder stated as the undead that they are facing have evolved from the ones that appeared at the start of the betrayal.

“We do not have time to check and observe. They still have the same weakness as other undead which is holy magic and light magic. The only problem is the fact that there is no one in our party that could use holy magic.” Adrian stated as Bloom can only use light magic and not holy magic.

“Dealing with those pesky undead that do not have bodies is a pain. I can destroy them but it takes a lot of effort and a lot of mana. We would be drained of our stamina before we even finish them off.” Boulder stated as he has fought against normal wraiths.

“She is gaining on us!” Bloom’s voice suddenly cut in as the Corrupted Witch is actually catching up to their speed.

The Corrupted Witch has the power of her patron goddess but also the power of a powerful undead. If Adrian is to compare her to the undead, he encountered before then it would be equal to Blanche and Noir. The Corrupted Witch is on par with the Undead King when the patron goddess is possessing her which is happening right now.

“We do not need to win against her. We just need to go to our destination because the reinforcements would be there. Stall her as much as you can. If you can send her to another dimension then that would be ideal as well. We might not be able to teleport properly but that also applies to our enemies.” Adrian stated as he did not get a mission to kill the Corrupted Witch but a mission to arrive at the destination at a specific time.

Boulder and Bloom agreed as they used spells to deter the Corrupted Witch from reaching them. Bloom would use the flowers made of light to blind and even damage the Corrupted Witch. Bloom cannot directly hit the Corrupted Witch but she is able to stall her which made it impossible for the Corrupted Witch to use spells to shoot them down like last time.

Boulder became the MVP when it came to dealing with the Corrupted Witch as he managed to slip her into another dimension. The only problem is that the patron goddess of the Corrupted Witch seems to have some ability and sent it back to pursue Adrian and his party. The Corrupted Witch was only trapped in the other dimension for an hour but that hour became very important for Adrian and rest.

“Thank you, Mino. I will make sure that you can rest once we reach the destination. We are only a few hours away from it. I know it is selfish asking you to push yourself but please do.” Adrian stated and Mino released a cry as he flew faster than ever.
