“Young… Master…” The Dullahan stated via their soul link as the memories that were fragmented because of the miasma started to clear up.

“It seems that you have returned to us, Pyli. I would say that it is a good thing but there is an enemy in front of us and we need to defeat it.” Adrian stated as the right side of his face could be seen to be coated in miasmic flames.

“Your soul has already been tainted boy. I do not know how you managed to control an undead but it seems that it has given your quite a cost. Your soul will become mine as long as I hold out. In the end, I will be the victor of this minor scuffle.” The Corrupted Grave Keeper stated as it laughed maniacally.

“Not if we kill you first.” Adrian stated as he switched his weapon to a soul weapon bow and released arrows made of mana.

Since Adrian only has Vio and Pyli as soulbounds, the energy that can be fired from his arrows are that of Abyss Energy. He cannot use miasma because there would be no damage to the Corrupted Grave Keeper. The only way to truly defeat the Corrupted Grave Keeper is to make sure that it will be heavily afflicted by abyss energy.

“Master, it seems that both of us are in quite a predicament.” Vio stated as he looked at the lower part of his tail and it has been tainted by miasma.

Due to Vio fighting against the Corrupted Grave Keeper by himself, the miasma has already seeped into his scales. The fact that the miasma of the Corrupted Grave Keeper can affect an Abyss Dragon Lord is worrying. This means that the Corrupted Grave Keeper can even infect a god with its miasma. Thankfully, the miasma being released by the Corrupted Grave Keeper has decreased because of its usage of skills earlier.

“Just offer your head and we can have this all over with. You cannot sustain yourself because your miasma is now running thin.” Adrian stated as he taunted the Corrupted Grave Keeper.

“Do you really think that I cannot regain my lost miasma? Thanks to you being unable to use light and holy magic, I can do this.” The Corrupted Grave Keeper stated as it suddenly opened its mouth and all of the miasma that was used to create the undead earlier suddenly got sucked in.

Even though not all of the miasma that the Corrupted Grave Keeper used was returned, the amount that was recovered is still a lot. The Corrupted Grave Keeper suddenly became energized as the miasma that it shared has somewhat returned to it. Adrian could only blame his mouth at this moment because the Corrupted Grave Keeper might not have done that if he did not taunt it.

“There is only one way then.” Adrian muttered as he looked towards his bracelet.

“If you surrender the creation relic to me then I might think of reviving you as an undead and keeping your sanity. You will listen to every thing that I say but you will still be technically alive. Why are you even defending this world, anyways?

I know how hybrids like you are treated which is why there were some like you that joined our cause. With their knowledge of Asmodian ways, it became easy to kill those weaker Asmodians even though we needed to sacrifice some gods in the process. If you join us, you will be treated far better than how you were treated.” The Corrupted Grave Keeper stated which made Adrian shocked.

Adrian knew that there were no Asmodians that betrayed the world because they have a very big urge to protect the universe. What he did not expect is that there were Asmodian descendants like him who might be hybrids that betrayed the world. It now makes sense how some Asmodians fell in battle when they were fully prepared and very powerful.

The only way for the Asmodians to lose is to have a traitor in their midst. If a hybrid is the real traitor, then it makes sense as they also know of Asmodian customs and information only known to their race. Unlike pure blooded Asmodians that cannot betray the world or else their powers are stripped, hybrids and rejects as they call them are not heavily influenced by this. The hybrids and rejects to do not this urge to protect the world because they have been shunned in the first place.

Even Telos knows that the reason why he did not have much prejudice is due to the fact that his parents were very respected. Still, Adrian felt and saw what Telos grew up with and there were only limited interactions even within his own community. The only reason why Bloom and Boulder became friends with him because they are good people and outcasts as well.

“Scared, are you?” Adrian stated as an undead would not run its mouth without any reason.

“You dare accuse an undead that we feel fear?! We are fear incarnate!” The Corrupted Grave Keeper shouted because it really did feel an ounce of fear from Adrian.

At first, the Corrupted Grave Keeper did not feel threatened by Adrian. It was only when Adrian successfully sealed the Dullahan did the Corrupted Grave Keeper felt a lingering sense of dread. If a powerful undead like the Dullahan could become a servant of the being before him then it could also become one. The Corrupted Grave Keeper feared being controlled by others because it is the one that has done the controlling.

“Master, we are running low on energy. I am also using most of my strength to keep the miasma from reaching my heart.” Vio reported via the soul link to make sure that the Corrupted Grave Keeper does not know of their real status.

Adrian also did what Vio did as he is currently using most of his focus and strength in suppressing the miasma on his right arm and face. The miasma already reached his eight eye which made him look terrifying. His right arm is also corrupted while his right side of the face is burning in miasmic flames. His right eye even became pitch black which made him put on all the effort or else the miasma will reach his brain.

“Why are you so fixated on us? Trying to get some achievements because there are lots of grave keepers like you?” Adrian stated as he looked mockingly at the Corrupted Grave Keeper.

“I am the only one that ever is. I devoured the others that were born like me and took on all of their corrupted miasma! Only the strong can ever be called gods in our army! I am already a god! Once I take your relic, I shall use its power to become the God of the Undead!” The Corrupted Grave Keeper stated as it was not wrong because it has the strength of a greater god.

“It is a good thing that you are trapped here with us because fate has a different plan for a being like you. The fact that you are the only one of your kind means that stopping you here will make us win this war.” Adrian stated as he no longer hesitated and took out the Eye of Chaos from the bracelet.

“What do you think you are doing? Finally surrendering because you have been pushed to a corner?” The Corrupted Grave Keeper stated as it saw Adrian take out the creation relic of the Daemos.

“Who says that I am surrendering? The fight has merely started and this is my new way of getting the energy that I need.” Adrian stated as he sealed the Eye of Chaos using a contract and pushed it towards his chest.

[Warning! Resonating with the Eye of Chaos with an incompatible body will result in the breakdown of the current body.]

“I know but I need energy! I need Chaos Energy! I need it even if I have to give up all the energy that this body can handle! I will sacrifice even the special characteristic of this body to wield Chaos Energy!” Adrian shouted as if he was talking to the Eye of Chaos.

[The Eye of Chaos has listened to your resolve and agreed to form the temporary contract with you.]

[Fusing with the Eye of Chaos has now begun.]

Adrian suddenly exploded with energy which made the Corrupted Grave Keeper become wary and feel goosebumps in its cold undead body. The exploding energy that was scattered then returned back to the source as if time rewinded. When all of the released energy returned, a new form of Telos has appeared before them.

Telos is now wearing the Asmodian Battlesuit and the left side of his head now has a horn made up of chaos energy. The right side of his arm that was burning with miasma is now turned into an armored arm with both miasma and chaos energy surging through it.
