“Is this going to be the new standard? Fighting gods? The fact that they could conjure that and keep it going is frightening. Also, thanks for letting me in on this raid, guild leader.” Altum stated as he is actually quite excited by this quest since he was told by his patron god to hunt down a greater god related to water.
“I actually thought that you already hunted down a greater god for your Persona evolution quest. The fact that you had not done so is actually quite shocking for me. You are very much one of the most active players in the realm of the oceans and the seas.” Adrian stated.
“It seems that the gods of the oceans and seas are not that active or maybe they are sleeping. The fact that one of them popped up and try to destroy this town is a bonus for me. I mean it sucks for the Undertow guild but it is a blessing for me since I can finally clear that quest.
I also cannot just go and kill any gods that appear just because of my quest. What if they are peace loving and takes care of the life underwater. It would be a big blow on my conscience. Also, I believe you said that there are shark people, the Samebito, that is under that god. I have a grudge against them since they are the ones that always try to attack us without even a word in.” Altum stated.
“Has he always been this talkative?” Frey asked as she did not know that Altum was very chatty.
“He is but spare him because we do not have much guild members that could traverse the underwater depths. He gets lonely since we cannot accompany him on his missions sometimes.” Adrian whispered to Frey.
“Pantheon Guild Leader! You are here! Thank you for answering our calls.” The Undertow Guild Leader Ahab stated as he gave a very cheerful handshake to Adrian despite the problem that happened to his territory.
“Thank you for having us. I mean what is the guild alliance for anyway but to help each other.” Adrian stated which made Undertow Guild Leader Ahab smile without any pretense as the latter felt the genuine will to help from the former.
“Come. The others have also arrived as well.” The Undertow Guild Leader Ahab stated as they were escorted to a makeshift tent created by the Undertow Guild.
“Wow! We managed to get Equinox and Frey! This is practically as good as accomplished.” Some of the guild alliance members stated as they knew how powerful the two were.
“Greetings! Thank goodness that you were able to come.” The Valor Guild Master Ain stated as he breathes a sigh of relief.
“Will the other guild leaders not come?” Adrian asked as only Ain was present from the top guilds in their alliance.
“Unfortunately, Infernum has a problem on their end as a group of religious fanatics suddenly started to launch attacks on their territory. They cannot come but the Evergreen guild did bring reinforcements.” The Valor Guild Leader Ain stated as he gestured to Alder.
“Did a problem also happened at Neo Alfheim?” Adrian asked Alder.
“We also got attacked by some the followers of the Fomorians. We are still managing because they did not break the defense lines but the other guild officials are staying watch.” Alder replied.
“The Fomorian’s Followers? You mean those gods that tried to take over Avalon because of the Tree of Life and Death. I guess they no longer attacked us because we killed some of them but it seems they are now eyeing the Tree of Life in Neo Alfheim. Call us if you guys need help or even inform the Church of Life and Death about it since some of the elves have their hometown there.” Adrian stated and he also gave a chat to Anastacia that they can call on them if they need backup.
“Thank you, Guild Leader Equinox.” Alder stated with a smile as his tenseness eased up a bit.
“Now that we are all here, does someone wish to take over as the speaker?” The Undertow Guild Leader Ahab asked as he looked towards Adrian and Ain’s direction.
“Nope. This is your territory which means that you know it best. We are just here for support in order for you to reclaim it.” Adrian stated as he finds it bothersome to lead all the other guilds that came here.
“If that is the case then I shall be the one to discuss the plan.” The Undertow Guild Leader Ahab stated as he proceeded to divulge the pathways and how they will go over with the attack. He gave a detailed explanation that did not seem to favor any guild. He also made sure to point out what they learned about the greater god and the armies that he has brought.
“The only problem we have now is the large swirling water spout that is blocking anyone from entering.” Ain stated as a spell like that is quite difficult to break and would need a cooperation of mages.
“If someone can slow down the current then I might be able to destroy the magic circle that created that water spout.” Adrian stated.
“I can weaken the current with my elementals.” Alder stated and Adrian looked at him to see the Greater Water Elemental clinging to the latter’s shoulder.
“Great! Now, about the enemies…” The Undertow Guild Leader Ahab stated but Adrian raised his hand to say something.
“About the Lotan, I think I can take care of it by myself. Altum needs to fight against the greater god for his quest and Frey could support you guys against that enemy. I can deal with the divine beast alone with my soulbounds.” Adrian confidently stated but he really did not want to endanger allies around him since he could still barely control some of his attacks.
“If that is the case then we might really be able to do this without any problems.” The Undertow Guild Leader Ahab stated and did not even say that Adrian is eating more than he can chew. They all know that the Pantheon guild leader does not say something that he is not confident about.
The plan is actually quite simple since not all of the members of the guild alliance can fight against a greater god. The other guilds that rallied for support will be dealing with the Samebito and carve a path for the main teams going for the Greater God of Seas, and Rivers Yamm. The main teams which are mainly the Undertow Guild Core Team, the Valor Guild Core Team, and the Pantheon Guild’s two members will go ahead and kill the Greater God of Seas, and Rivers Yamm.
As soon as all of them have been given the detailed plans, all of them moved into position with Alder and Adrian going to the cliff. Alder breathes in and started to accumulate all of the water elemental energy around him. The water elemental energy then accumulated until the form of the Greater Water Elemental Nymphyria finally manifested in the form of a maiden made up of water.
“With the Power of the Water Element under me, reverse the direction of the current!” Alder shouted as his arrow is now imbued with the power of the greater water elemental.
Alder fired off the arrow without any doubt and it traversed the skies unimpeded. The arrow made of pure water element suddenly pierced the large water spout and the spin suddenly slowed down just like Alder promised he would. Adrian instantly observed the magic circle that flickered when the water spout slowed down from spinning.
“The magic circle is so scribbled and chaotic that it is even hard to find the origin source.” Adrian complained as he cannot unravel the magic circle in a quick minute since it is complicated and messy.
“I guess we will need to redo the plans then.” The Undertow Guild Leader Ahab stated as they planned the attack based on the scenario that Alder and Adrian can destroy the water spout.
“No need. I have a back up plan.” Adrian stated as he vanished from his location and suddenly appeared in the area above the water spout.
“Grand Meteros!”
Adrian then chanted some words as the skies above suddenly tore open to rain down the summoned meteors that he called upon. Adrian felt the easiness of using such a powerful spell as if it was just casting a rare tier spell. The fact that a Noblesse could easily call upon time, space, and force as if it is their servant is very much overpowered.
“So, the second way that the Pantheon Guild Leader thought of is brute force.” The Undertow Guild Leader Ahab stated with a chuckle as he felt that he and Adrian will actually go along quite well. He is also a player that believes that violence is always one of the answers and just waits for the question to be asked.
