Explosions began to erupt as all CP0 agents were under pressure from the attackers. Kaku, transformed into a giraffe, used his Haki-coated nose to parry Rebecca’s sword, also covered in Haki.

Rebecca quickly vanished from the scene using Soru, while Kaku was also forced to use the same technique to keep up with her, defending himself from the next attack. He used his pointed nose as if it were a sword, and the two — sword and nose — clashed against each other like blades, as sparks of Haki crashed together.

On the other side, Carrot was having trouble dealing with Lucci. She had drawn the worst possible opponent, while still not being well-trained enough to fight him.

But Lucci realized she was strong and had to resort to transforming into his hybrid form, fighting in the air using Geppo since the battle had started, away from the ship.

Stussy had created her wings, dodging the first ghosts Perona was sending at her, but the ghost girl seemed bored.

The fight between the three was happening all across the area in front of the ship, with all six of them running through the air as they exchanged blows with each other.

Luffy was sitting and watching, fascinated by all the movement, while most of the crowd there was watching the three girls fight, waiting to see how the battle would end.

Luffy then left the fight, got up from his chair, and went to the far end of the ship, near the mast, where he saw the blonde standing with arms crossed, watching the battle with eyes full of boredom.

“You’re not inclined to help the Government?” Luffy mocked, as he received an angry look from the woman in front of him.

“That’s not my problem,” she murmured at last.

“I see… Well, either way, I wouldn’t want you interfering in this,” he said.

“You’re saying that now, after what you did to me… Maybe they want to kill me themselves,” she commented.

“But aren’t you from a good family in Mary Geoise? Like all the others of your kind… Would they discard you just like that?” Luffy asked.

“There was a Tenryuubito who wanted to help the fish-men before the mission at the Reverie meeting…” she said, and Luffy imagined it was the one who had contact with Shirahoshi’s mother.

“You know what happened to him? Dead. Executed by order of the Elders themselves. Now, do you think even for us, the families that make up Mary Geoise would survive if we were willing to go against everything that was built more than 700 years ago? They eliminate anyone who thinks differently, even those born as Tenryuubito,” she said, while Luffy gave her a long, silent look.

“I see… That sounds kind of bad,” he commented.

“It’s the first time I hear that from someone like you. You sound like you pity us when you’ve already gone around killing more Tenryuubito than has ever been recorded,” she asked.

“I’m not pitying you. And I’m going to keep killing more, well… Except you, if you behave,” Luffy replied, while the woman clicked her tongue.

“But even so, don’t you have a family?” Luffy asked.

“I do… but we distanced ourselves from our families to become Holy Knights, since we spent years in isolated training,” she said, pausing before continuing.

“Still, in the Holy Knights, we still form families,” she said.

“So you were going to have yours?” Luffy asked.

“Yes… I was engaged before all this madness,” she murmured.

“You seem relieved. Who was your fiancé?” Luffy asked, interested.

“Saint Charloss,” she murmured.

Luffy took a few seconds to absorb it.

“Wait… That guy I punched in Sabaody? The snotty daddy’s boy?!” Luffy burst out laughing as he said those words.

The laughter was so loud it could be heard by other crew members on the ship. The woman clearly didn’t like that one bit.

“What are you laughing at? Even if he’s not strong, it’s still a great honor. Among us Tenryuubito, uniting our houses is tradition. It’s been over 400 years since his house formed a blood tie with mine, that’s why I was chosen to be his fiancée,” she said, growling.

Luffy stopped laughing and flashed a mischievous grin.

“Ah, I see. Well, are you sure you’ll be very happy beside that Tenryuubito? I might even spare his life when this war ends.”

“This war will never happen. You’ll die before it begins,” the woman said with disdain.

“That’s what you say. But the Government can’t reach me. Not even your proud Holy Knights seemed that strong when they faced us in Wano. And you… you fell just as easily.” He said.

She tried to respond, opening her mouth, but nothing came out. She looked at Luffy with an unkind gaze.

“Look, don’t worry. I’ll let your fiancé live,” Luffy mocked, while she stared at him darkly.

She just clicked her tongue, gritted her teeth, turned around and started walking away, irritated by Luffy’s words as she entered the ship.

“Hey, Luffy… Are you still sure about keeping that woman alive?” Shirahoshi swam through the air to him and murmured, approaching Luffy.

“Don’t worry. We have a deal. She won’t harm any of you, and I’ll see it coming hours before if she tries anything. So don’t worry,” Luffy said, while Shirahoshi still looked at him with suspicious eyes.

“And you, husband… Are you sure? You’re not thinking of taking that Tenryuubito to bed, are you?” Shirahoshi murmured.

“Well, about that… Look, she can attack me whenever she wants, as long as she doesn’t hurt any of you. I’m fine with that. And don’t worry, I won’t take her to bed. She’s engaged, you know? To that Tenryuubito we beat up before dragging him into the Auction House before the Marineford war, back in Sabaody.” He said.

“Which one? There were so many…” Vivi murmured.

“The rich one who tried to buy you right in front of me, and I beat him up for it,” he said, while Shirahoshi widened her eyes.

“Oh, I know… That guy!” and she started laughing. “Him? Hahahaha.”

“Yeah, I guess that crazy woman couldn’t hope for anything better,” Luffy said, laughing too.

Meanwhile, inside the ship, a wall cracked from a punch.

“Something better?” the blonde growled inside the ship, looking up after hearing all of Luffy’s conversation. “Something better? Damn pirate! You humiliate me as a Holy Knight and dare to do this to me as a woman?” she cursed Luffy, who could probably feel her burst of anger, but ignored her, turning his attention forward, where the battles continued.

It was at that moment that the small ship cracked from Rebecca’s attack, slicing it in half.

“Wow, she’s becoming a good swordswoman,” Kuina murmured with an approving look, watching the small ship split in half, full of fallen and unconscious agents.

Kaku twisted his neck after dodging Rebecca’s attack that cut through the ship, as he lunged at her with full force.

She quickly turned, and then the two clashed again, evenly matched, until Kaku began to overpower her, pushing her back several meters before she stabilized in the air again.

She looked toward the ship where everyone was watching. She didn’t want to disappoint her crew. She gripped the hilt of her sword tightly as her skin began to turn pink, quickly forming scales as she entered her hybrid form. Her eyes became dragon-like.

Kaku seemed to grow cautious at that, recalling having seen her in the newspaper in her full transformation, capable of destroying an entire castle, as she had done before.

“Let’s take this more seriously,” she said.

She immediately vanished, charging forward with such force that Kaku couldn’t even react in his hybrid form before she reappeared behind him. In an instant, blood burst from various parts of his body.

The giraffe simply began to cancel his transformation, collapsing with his eyes open, bleeding from his mouth and several other places, before crashing into one of the planks of the ship she herself had cut.

Meanwhile, several ghosts began to surround Perona on another side, doing everything to keep Stussy from getting closer, while the ghost girl stood there, watching with boredom.

Stussy’s gaze turned to Kaku, collapsed, as she began planning to reveal herself as an ally of Vegapunk in that moment, no longer wishing to fight the Straw Hats, provided they would help her escape with Vegapunk.

“Where are you looking?” But before she could continue watching, she looked up to see Perona in front of her, now irritated that the woman had just ignored her to watch the others. That was deeply rude to the ghost girl.

She hadn’t really felt like fighting until now, but her opponent’s attitude was incredibly disrespectful.

Suddenly, Perona began unleashing multiple ghosts, exploding throughout the entire area.

Stussy stared, stunned, as the space around her closed in with more than a thousand ghosts being created, while a massive ball formed in the sky. The ghosts kept circling while making their eerie, cheerful moans.

Stussy tried to find an opening, but she was completely surrounded.

That was when she felt someone touch her back without even noticing the approach. Her eyes widened in shock as she used Haki to see the pink-haired girl with her umbrella, staring at her with clear disgust.

In the next moment, from the hand where Perona had touched Stussy’s back, a ghost emerged, passing through her chest and immediately freezing her.

Stussy lost control of her body. At that moment, all the ghosts began to disperse, vanishing completely from the area, while Stussy fell to her knees on another wooden platform in the middle of the sea, placing her hands down as she sank into depression.

“I should’ve been born an ant,” she murmured, as Perona just mocked her in the air.

Now for the last fight.

Carrot was having a hard time, being pressured and even wounded by Lucci.

It was only after some time that she managed to create distance, grabbing one of the Rubber Balls and eating it to use her powers, since her current form wasn’t enough.

She would now move on to the next.

Her coloration began to change as fur started to grow. She entered her Sulong form, lightning shooting from all over her body, while Lucci looked on, surprised.

In the next moment, Carrot charged at full speed toward him, catching him off guard and striking him even in his hybrid form. He tried several methods to stop her, but didn’t even have time. Behind him, Carrot appeared again in a burst of lightning, striking once more.

The agent found himself at a disadvantage and quickly began to increase his power even further. “I need to end this fight now,” he thought, as he entered his awakened form.

Dark flame-like clouds quickly began swirling behind his back. In the next moment, Carrot was about to strike again, but he effortlessly blocked it with one hand, looking at her and growling.

She was surprised—then got hit. Carrot flew several meters back before vanishing and charging at Lucci again, but before she could get close, she was struck once more, thrown backward without even being able to see the enemy.

Lucci hit her again before she could recover, making her groan in pain and crash into a part of the ship, cracking half of the structure.

She was still conscious, and Lucci quickly rushed in to finish it. But just as he got close, suddenly, a ghost emerged from inside the ship’s wooden frame, passing through him before he could dodge.

Unable to react, Lucci was caught by surprise and simply fell to his knees at Carrot’s feet.

“I should’ve been a kitten…” he murmured, completely losing his transformation.

“Well, that was impressive,” Luffy murmured.

He had already told Perona to help Carrot, since he planned to use them as a test. And he knew Carrot couldn’t handle this opponent alone—especially not Rob Lucci.

Even so, watching the fight had been quite impressive. In the end, they had already defeated all the agents. Now, all that remained was to continue heading to Egghead.
